Has an aosp rom different from cm7 been released for tha galaxy s II or at least is someone working on one?
Why don't you do a search man. After nearly 700 posts I'm sure you've been told that a few times by now. In the Dev section there are at least 3. Plus Oxygen over at Oxygen forums, and GalnetMIUI over at their forums.

Where can I get the newest version of Darky's Rom for Samsung Vibrant? I have seen Samsung Vibrant's online carrying Darky's Rom *Extreme Edition* with Touchwiz but can't seem to find any downloads. Please, if someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, how well is Darky's rom when it comes to GPS and battery? Because when researching roms the main issues that will occur with roms generally are GPS issues or battery issues.
darkys is for i900 galaxy s only! But in our rom section we do have roms that were ported from darkys rom, i think jellete did one im not sure?? but darkys rom would have to be ported for it to work on our phones.
just lookin rom section and it will tell u in rom description if it was a port
Nope, in the i9000 section his rom actually supports all apacy s phones
You have to down load an app though

So what is the deal with MIUI on Samsung Galaxy S2?
Is there a proper version or still just a version some Hungarians have hacked for the S2?
If so, where is it and how do I get it on?
Also - is there any chance of just getting the lock screens on my S2?
Thanks.
If it can be phrased as a question, it belongs in Q&A
nothing to do with development...

MIUI will be officially supported in few weeks as MIUI china have said they will support SGS2. They were waiting for CM 7.1 to be released as stable. Current Iterations of MIUI are Galnet, Gangsterjoop and NDT also there is a myfluxi build.
Also this should have been in Q&A.
Mod please move to Q&A Many Thanks
Hi, I'm a noob so appologies if this has already been answered...
Q: Is AOKP not supports on a Galaxy S2? The official web site does not seem to support the device. Does this mean the the devs specifically mod the ROM to support AOKP?
Thanks in advance oh guru.

1. Questions typically should go in Q&A, not General...
2. I don't think you really understand what AOKP is.
3. There are a bunch of AOKP based ROMs in both the Android Development and Original Android Development sections.

1. Apologies, noob.
2. This may be the case but you certainly haven't answered my question.
I'll try again.
I have Resurrection ROM which is AOKP. On going to the AOKP site, the Galaxy S2 is not listed as a supported device. So, I'm asuming, because it's not listed, that it's not supported by the AOKP team. Install at your own risk??
Am I correct in saying that any issues that may arise are up to the ROM dev team to resolve and wont be looked at by the AOKP team.

"Install at your own risk" is pretty much true for any ROM.
Edit to add: sorry, I forgot to say: though I'm not on the AOKP team, so my answer isn't a definite one, but I'd imagine it would be up to the particular ROM dev, yes.
Hi,
For having tried many, AOKP works great on S2.
I've change for having stock FM radio working, but if you don't need that, there are great.
Enjoy
Instead of actually creating a new thread; does anyone know of a "stock" AOKP for the S2?
I want to try one that hasn't been tampered with.
Oh, the irony.
what is difference between "galaxys2" and "i9100 intl". on cyanogenmod site? help?
Because i dont get iit because you have in the list on github 'galaxy s2' (that where you go when you look in devices and click on galaxy s2 you go to github but it only goes to cm9)
And i look in the list on the left i see 'i9100' that also a galaxy s2 so i look it says international version and has cm10. So what is that i dont get it? Whats the difference?
I know it has cm10.1 bit why not on official CM site?
Sorry for al my mispels i write terible.
I9000 is the samsung galaxy known as the captivate.
I9100 is the samsung galaxy S2 upgraded verion of the samsung galaxy.
there are big difference in the how the phones are constructed.
cm10 is the newest version and deleveloped based on the latest software.
cm9 is anolder version based on gingerbread.
as to your other question cannot understand what you are trying to say.

cm10 is newer version of the foirmware and will work on sgs2. It is an upgrade of cm9.
Since it custom firmware, you must make the choice to flash it or upgrade it. Does not come as stock firmware or automatically upgradeable via kies.

CM10 is based on JB
CM9 was based on ICS.
CM8 was reserved for HC but was never used.
CM7 was based on GB
And the users question has nothing to do with the I9000.
I wonder the same thing actually. On cyanogenmod download page there are both galaxys2 and i9100.
galaxys2 have cm9
and i9100 have cm10 nightlies
Links: (cant post actual link without 10 posts)
galaxys2 - download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=galaxys2
i9100 - download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=i9100
My phone:
Model: GT-I9100
Baseband: I9100XXLPX
CPU: ARMv7 Processor rev 1
I'm from Sweden.
So with my phone, should I download cm9 from galaxys2 or would cm10 work from i9100 page?
Anyone understands me?
Thanks.
Both would work
But please do a full wipe before flashing if you are not already on cm to avoid problems

I get you! Though I have no clue why did they do that I can recommend you to go for cm10.1 or CM10 from "i9100"! galaxys2 is for the old cm9 version... I suppose they did it so because the galaxy S2 still didn't get its official jb update and some people still prefer ics hence they dont wan't to stop development for cm9 for s2 and merge it! I suppose after the official jb is released they'll merge it with i9100! Don't forget to thank!

Hey everyone i have a few questions about cyonogenmod 11 or basically any kitkat launcher. I have a Galaxy S3 SGH-T999
1. if i change to any other rom will i still have the gimmicky features of samsung like smartstay, smartscreen etc?
2, is there any rom that keeps these features as well as the stock camera app?
3. is there any Galaxy S5 based rom for my Galaxy S3 T999?
4. What are the best and fastest kernels for these ROMs?

wrong forum. this is i9300. t999 is here
but in fact:
1) no, samsung gimmicks are based on samsung framework and won't work on aosp based roms, either you find alternatives or someone who has ported it (what is quite unlikely)
2)no, see 1
3) ask in the correct forum
4) best fastest kernel questions violate the rules. test for yourself and make your own opinion
