as far as I can tell, gtalk only supports the default google account on the device and doesn't provide support for multiple google accounts.
the same area on the upper right in gmail, where i tap to select a different account, doesn't respond to touch on gtalk. i haven't heard anything about multiple accounts in talk on the evo 3d ... but maybe it is on their to do list, not sure.
never heard of the text being blacked out. i dont even see any color controls. maybe something is temporarily corrupted and a restart will resolve? are you using a themed version of gtalk? perhaps a screenshot could help display the issue?
hope that helps! let us know

Alright so I've basically fallen in love with the most recent version of KaosFroyo, minus this one aspect, and that is that almost none of the profile pictures for my synced Facebook contacts will appear on the phone. Like, 5 randomly are appearing, but none more. How can I get the other peoples pictures come up?
Thanks!

This has been an issue for everybody on all roms lately. You can dl the app "syncmypix" free from the market. Works great!
Works like a dream! Thanks mate.
I was having the same issue. I was able to manually sync them last night without any extra app. While in Contacts hit the menu button then display options. Make sure that your contact list is also displaying all contacts for Facebook. Go back to your contact list and long press which contact you want to link with Facebook. Click edit contact. Then click menu and Join. Now select the Facebook contact for the corresponding person.
I have also found that going from the stock ROM to Kaos, is that if the contact name does not match up to the facebook contact exactly, it wont sync. I have not found a way to manually snyc then up like in the older stock versions.
@bl4scott, the post above you works for KaosFroyo

Thats the method i kind of stumbled upon as well.. The whole contact thing was really aggravating me. haha
Yea weird bug. I haven't had an issue, but my wife's phone did.

The new official Facebook app has contact sync also. So if you wanted to, you could remove your "Facebook for HTC Sense" account, reboot, let it remove all the data, and then open the settings in the Facebook app and change it to sync all contacts. I don't know if it works any better, but it's worth a shot.

Freaking lovely! Just what I needed. Thanks! That'd been driving me batty for a week.
So I recently upgraded to the SGS 2 from an Infuse...and when I set up Facebook sync on that phone I was able to select whether I wanted to add ALL facebook friends, or just the ones that were already in my contacts... With the SGS 2 I wasn't given that option, so now I have like 300 extra people in my Contacts list that I will never call, and a good number of them don't even have phone numbers... So is there a way to filter which friends are synced?
Same problem here....

Thanks, that's good to know. Problem is, that hides any "real" contacts that don't have phone numbers and shows ANY Facebook friend, so long as they have a number.

I am experiencing the exact same problem. I synced all my accounts yesterday and it was working great for about 3 hours and then it tells me "sync is experiencing problems right now" What is happening? Is there a fix for this?
I like Google+ well enough, I guess, but I have people in my Google+ circles who have no need whatsoever to be in my contacts list on my phone. Yet it seems that by adding someone to a circle in Google+, they are automatically added to my phone's contacts, and if I try to delete them from contacts, they are then deleted from my circles. They don't show up on my desktop version of Google contacts -- only on the phone.
Is there a way to keep people out of my contacts on my phone while still adding them to my circles?
+1 ya agreed...

Not sure if this will help go into contacts hit menu and pick view, then check the box that says phone numbers only.

It would, but it's overkill... I have contacts with email addresses only that I want to keep visible.
It's really sad that Google doesn't provide any options here.

Anyone else having this problem or know of a setting for this? I have my Yahoo mail set up. Emails with text display fine, but email with images (mostly emails from companies like ebay, etc) just come up blank. I don't see any settings or option to display images for the app.
Thnx.
Mine has a show html button on top of the email

Yup...if you want the images to display you need to go under the Receive Settings in the email app and choose a larger limit, otherwise, the images will not be displayed right away.
Hmmm... Don't have the show HTML button. I remember that from my Evo 3D, but don't have it on the Rezound. I have already bumped the download limit to 100kb and was having the issue. Bumping it up to 1mb now.
So I actually do have the show HTML button in some emails, like from livingsocial, but not others...

Same here. Some I have the option to show HTML, others, like from Dish Network, are completely blank. Very strange.

How do you replace the stock app. I downloaded the Yahoo app but the stock mail app still has notifications.
Id like to replace the SMS app too but I don't want notifications from the stock app.

Read on another forum about a workaround that works most of the time... Go into the settings and turn off automatic download.
My stock mail app has been force closing any time it is open lately.

I just got my RAZR MAXX yesterday and miss this app.
It contained all of my email accounts and SMS icon. It showed which ones had new emails, etc. All I can find on ICS is basically a unified inbox widget of the actual messages.
Anyone know of an app to do something similar to the old Messaging App? I have looked in the play store but don't find anything similar.
OR, preferably, does anyone know of what the APK was called so I can try to find it and install it? I really miss this feature. My luck is it is going to be a system feature.
they could have taken ANYTHING else out of ICS but I wish they would have left the UNIVERSAL MESSAGING WIDGET alone ..... I MISS IT TOO

I wish I had the knowledge to extract or find the apk. But I am sure it is a system app and built in.
You should see the chat log I had with Motorola on this issue. And if it was available in ICS anywhere.
It basically ended with them responding that this "Is a new feature added when they went from Gingerbread to ICS!" LOL I said IT IS MISSING, NOT ADDED you DUMBASS!!!
My work around it's by stacking text, emails and my im together on home screen.. Not as good but will do for now.

Can you elaborate and post a screen shot?
The closest thing I can find just for email, is when you click the email icon it usually opens to the last inbox. At the top is an email icon, and it says Inbox and which email account. If you click Inbox, it gives you a dropdown with a list of your email accounts and the number of unread messages plus the option to create combined inbox. You can switch email accounts there. But I would still like them to all show like in a folder without having to click the dropdown. There is also a 1 x 1 email widget that you can set to a specific account. Do one for each account. Then those can be combined into a folder, but you don't get the number of unread emails superimposed on the account icon like the old app.
