Hello devs. Me and a couple of my friends decided to go on the app development journey earlier this year. Due to the hustle and bustle of high school, we still haven't finished building our apps. Here is the list
League of Legends Mobile: On hold, waiting on Riot Games for license
Cloud based mail client: postponed till summer 2013
We may need some extra help later on to get these apps rolling out. If you are interested in joining our team, please email me at
[email protected]
And if I need some extra hands, I'll notify you. You will be paid an equal split of profit if you join. If you have any questions or would like to inquire, please email me. Thank you guys.
Hi! I'm Dylan, the xda intern :victory:
I'm doing some research on how devs monetize their apps. We're currently exploring ways to help you make more money from your apps and we'd like to find out about what you currently do. If you could please, please take this short survey, it would be much appreciated! We promise to keep everything confidential; in fact, the survey is anonymous.
Thanks again!

No Adsense is for website not for apps
use Admob or other ad-Networks.
Also, you can try to add some InApp Purchases.

Will you share results somewhere?
ps. admob ftw
Lots of great tips in this thread! I am currently making an app as well and plan on attending the Crowdfund Global Expo in San Diego, Jan. 30th-31st. I heard there will be lots of great investors at this event and wanted to take a look for myself. I highly suggest visiting crowdfundweeklynews.com to find out lots of great info about crowdfunding and how it can help people like us!
Probably thru admob first? Then try in-app purchases and stuff like that?
Revmob
Besides google admob, revmob also providing similar service $ too.:good:

I'm displaying admob ads and using in-app purchases (IAP) to unlock additional levels. After 100 game downloads (it's my first game for android, just released), IAP considerably outperforms ads.

You will get higher revenue from ads when you will have more users. But remember you will need active users because they will see your ads(earn by CPM) or they will click on it(earn by CPC) unless you will earn in other way like PPC/CPI or something else.

Interesting stats regarding the e-Commerce. What sort of thing are we talking here, bigger companies re-selling through apps?
Paid app and also ads network. But today is very difficult to monetize app for such competition. you should have very unique and useful app that can pay attention.

eomobi si a good choice,-Smartwall out ad with High Payment up to 60$ per 1000 new install ! For In-app ad they're paid by CPM not ecpm . what's more they're paid by weeks! if u r interested u can contact me for more info , here is my email address [email protected], or u can send me private messages

lately heard about eomibi... how long do you work in this field, May we trust the system? ...60$ for 1000 new downloads is not bad if you try to monetize the app via IAP

information of your website is not comprehensive.
you tried to keep the website in a corporate style, but it looks like cheap imitation imho. you should provide more professional and conprehensive information to developers, especially for those who already use other services.

well, first thank you for your advice, we are actually a new platform in this field which dominated by English corps and a lot of works need to be done, But the good thing is i think we're on our way of growing better and there are achievements which prove that.

I am currently looking for a freelance developer who, if can deliver, stands to gain a lucrative repeat-customer. Solar is booming, and I have been developing an App for one of the largest solar sales and installation companies in the state of New York. Our company has attempted to deploy technology to our outside sales lead generation team, but without much effect. The key missing ingredient in their puzzle is an easy-to-use, efficient, and stream-lined interface in which to seamlessly record data into our Salesforce database. I have conceptualized this project in great detail, and have even begun developing it myself using an Android Studio environment. I have successfully used the Salesforce Mobile SDK to log-in to our test.salesforce server, and have also successfully received data from our test server onto my tablet. I also have a working satellite-google maps, but am in dire need of an experienced developer to help bring this project to completion.
Ultimately, the plan is to provide an offline-capable version, utilizing the Salesforce SmartSync and SmartStore features provided by the SDK, but in order to prove the utility of this application to people at the company with the ‘ink-felt pen’, I plan on three phases of development. First, a internet-reliant version of the application, which can upload data into Salesforce in real-time, from the field. We will then deploy the app during phase two, in order to generate user-feedback and trouble-shooting support, while we gear up for phase three, the offline-capable version. The offline-version gives the ability for us to grow our lead generation team without having to provide everyone a monthly data-plan. It is the icing on the cake to the big-wigs of this project.
I am available 24/7 via Skype.

Hi everyone!
I am (co)running an international app competition called AppMyCity!
(just search it for website - prevented from posting it here as a new user)
Would anyone here like to apply/know anyone they think should apply/inform me where I could best find more great app developers?
Here is a quick outline of the competition:
The 10 best apps will be passed on to a panel of 10 international judges (incl venture capitalists, angel investors, tech journalists etc) and are likely to be covered by our media partner Guardian Cities.
The 3 selected apps will be invited to do a presentation at the New Cities Summit in Dallas, Texas June 17-19. This event brings together over 800 world leading urban decision makers (including CEO's, mayors, venture capitalists, and academics) as well as over 100 journalists, meaning you will get a LOT of visibility. We pay for your flights and hotel.
Audience at the summit does a live vote, and the winner gets a $5000 cash prize.
Who can apply?
Any app that fulfils the following three requirements:
Be Urban - With a broad focus on improving cities an/or life in cities.
Be Mobile - Available on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, or Web-based mobile apps
Be New - Launched AFTER January 1st 2013, and available to the public BEFORE May 5th 2014 (Apps with heavy updates and/or major changes after the January 1st are also eligible)
You can apply via our website , applications close April 18 - the submission form is really short and easy to fill in.
It would be great to have as many people applying, and I honestly think it is a really awesome opportunity for budding app developers.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me (here or via the website). We've also created an FAQ page.
Do we need to be based in the US? Any city-specific requirement?
Hi,
I have an app to suggest. I'm not its developer but I know who they are and would like to recommend this. A few questions:
- Does the organization need to be based in the US or do we you need to be an American citizen?
- Can an app in languages other than English apply if it can clearly show the benefits with regard to the prize?
- If someone based outside the US wins, does he/she need to travel to the location in order to claim the prize?
Thank you

Hello,
The app does not need to be based in the US, nor the developer an American citizen.
We welcome apps in any language.
If the app is selected as a finalist, then the developer(s) will need to travel to Dallas. We will cover the costs of travel and provide the relevant documents for visa applications.
Hope this answers your questions, and please do encourage them to apply!

Reminder
Hi everyone,
Just a quick reminder that the deadline for applications is this Friday, April 18.
We have released both the AppMyCity! judge panel, and the list of this year's speakers, both which you can find on our website! (Search for AppMyCity judges and New Cities Summit 2014 speaker)
Last chance to apply/let your friends know!
The other day I received a mail from watchdog.dev They released Watchdog Anti-Virus Beta and looking for Beta testers. I will test their product to see what they have done. I wanted to share this opportunity with others as I believe they are also going to give some long term license keys for the beta testers.
If anyone is interested in testing Watchdog Anti-Virus, they can fill out the form via https://watchdog.dev/anti-virus-beta/
