Samsung ECC1HC0BBE ECC1HC0BBEGSTA Galaxy Tab HDMI Video Cable
If you just want to buy one, I found these online for $20 at eBay and $23 at Amazon. Docks are available for around the same price.
If you prefer to DIY, you could buy a 30 pin dock connector from Kinetka systems (Kinetka.com) for $4 and wire it up yourself, but I have not looked into it enough to tell if it is a 1:1 wiring job or if any signal modification/translation needs to be done. You can check out the interface PDMI (Portable Digital Media Interface) on Wikipedia, this explains the interface and it's pinout. Note the Samsung connector is physically non-standard to PDMI so please read carefully. You can find an image of the Samsung connector's electrical pinout by searching the Samsung Galaxy Tab forums here. Also, droidangel.blogspot.com posted a .png on his site, but I did not want to repost it without permission so you will have to look for it online.
Given the very high data rate / frequencies involved, it is probably best to just buy one.

There are several other vendors that use the same power adapter with different markings on it. Kodak uses them in their digital photo frames and there are several vendors on eBay if you don't mind it coming from China and waiting a month to get it.
This vendor on Amazon has a few in stock (just the adapter). I bet you can get it overnighted.
Link to Amazon seller
If you do want to search for it on the Internet or in eBay use "MPA-630" in the search criteria.
Also, that's a mini-usb port on the side of the gTab, not a micro-usb port.
It also uses the same charger as the Kodak Photo Frame...
Search the web for "MPA-630 power supply" and you will find a replacement.

P. S. -- Oh, also, the PC to G-Tab cable is just a standard USB to mini-USB cable like is often used on
cameras, mp3 players, etc. USB on the PC side and mini on the G-Tab side.
I just bought a Universal external charger for my Gtab, but I need to know what the polarity should be, can anyone help me with that?

FYI, the PSAD24 (link above) is NOT a compatible substitute for the MPA-630. Please do not make the same mistake I did by purchasing the item linked above for your gTab, as it has a different connector.
Ecrap website has the charger for $23.95
Forum member itsteve's website electroniccrap dot com is selling the oem power supply and as of yesterday had some in stock. Get on it quick because they sell out quick

Need Little Help about S3 MHL Adapter

Hi friends..
I am looking for some help regarding S3 MHL HDMI adapter.. I am avoiding buying a genuine Samsung MHL Adapter considering its cost so I went ahead and bought a lot cheaper one from Ebay, turned out that I bought one that's for S2 so I am again going to order for a new one for S3.
But before that I have few questions if you could help me on them ..
1. What's the difference between EPL-3FHUBEGSTA and EPL-3FHUBEGSTD as 3FHUBEGSTA seems to me to be a genuine product since this product code is on Samsung but most of the items listed on Ebay are EPL-3FHUBEGSTD so will they work?
2. I know I can buy some 5pin to 11 pin connector to use my S2 MHL adapter with S3 but instead I will go ahead and get a new one since they can be purchased as cheap as 10$.. Although few are available for 30$ plus range too so what could be the difference?
3. Are there any other accessories I should be careful about other than S3 11 Pin MHL Adapter and 5pin to 11 pin connector?
4. What's the difference between MHL adapter and HDTV adapters?
5. Should this will work with my S3?
Thanks..

Dock?

I am using the dock I got for my note 1 almost 2 years ago for this behemoth. It fits, and works, but it's got a slight wobble from not having a flat bottom like the Note had. I also feel like the phone shouldn't hang over every edge of it's dock. Muffin top is not a becoming look.
Anybody know of a decent dock that won't make me sad in the wallet?

You will find many below with the Rochester, NY as shipping destination. Cannot of course vouch for any of them so be careful and check Sellers ratings.

Samsung Galaxy Mega Docks Ebay
Hi
My question is whether Multimedia Smart Dock EDD-S20EWEGSTD will match Galaxy Mega GT-i9205 ?
Propably should work, it has the same 11-pin connector at Note 2, SGS 3 and SGS 4 .
This corresponded to what I can connect to the dock . I read on the net that works well with Note 8.0 , it would be for me to purchase a universal . Only new Galaxy Note 3 Others have looked like a connector USB 3 available in portable drives as if consisting of two parts . That him certainly will not be fit, but it would not buy a shame because the money for the stylus and the programs that and so I did not use . The size of the Mega scares me a little but I think about it more and more, and probably this week I'll go and get him to the store replaced by Note 8 which I forgave her daughter and well-worn SGS II.
Maybe someone tried to effect the Dock of the Galaxy Mega?
If so, please provide all the links, images and videos on the topic .
Ps.: Mega ordered in white reception on Tuesday.
I could not resist This mega cool phone that up dreaming up all night
Had only one item on display because that was no longer mine.
I can verify that the mega works fine with the note 2 smart dock. I watched some videos last night using it.I haven't tried the usb capabilities yet but I'm assuming they would work done.

Ive been testing these dock in Samsung's outlet with 2 old usb 2.0 HDDs (flash type ones), and EDD-S20EWEGSTD showed itself from a bad side at least with one of them, it couldnt supply enough power to feed it up. So as i remember, I was forced to coneect it using additional Y cable to dock and to another additional usb power port (from one another adapter) to make it finally working .... whatta ff*uck?! #1

i have the dock my self, first time i connected it didnt work(scared the hell out of me, cause i've readed something about different versions of the dock) but after i rebooted my phone it worked excelent. still using it.
specs are: 720p video output and the good thing about it is that its charging with 2a charger instead of being stocked with 500ma from an mhl cable.
when you connect wireless mouse/keyboard, the screen of the mega(i9205 i have) goes black and the screen output goes landscape.
people say audio jack doesnt work.. dont believe it thats BULLS**T. look at settings > accessory of youre phone and then check "Audio Output Mode" box to get audio from the jack.
if you have any further questions about information on the dock just pm me ill will get to ya as soon as possible
PS. i found the image on XDA Forums so pls dont blame me for using pictures or whatever, its just for helping purposes.
What about battery discharge rate during use of hdmi function? How is its max 720 p on a big screen? Im using a copy of et-10fau adapter mhl2.0 and it's output is 1080p 60fps. And battery discharge rate is close to 4-5% per hour...

i've got it from a second hand(used by someone else) but its already confirmed that its working.
you can also order on ebay(but be sure its the original samsung one with 11 pins)
EDD-S20 E WEGST D looks as quite obsolete because of its mhl. Its worth to find EDD-S20 J WEGST A. Comparing video output its 720 vs 1080p. And as it is later product = less risks with it.

MHL micro USB to HDMI adapter

Has anyone found a quality HDMI adapter? It seems like there are a few "options", but none that really stand out as the right one. Preferably an OEM / Samsung adapter, but whatever...
So there are a couple of threads related to this, but I couldn't find

I bought this one and have used it to watch several movies in Hotels while traveling.
Skiva MHL Micro USB to male HDMI cable (6.5 feet) for Samsung Galaxy S3 (SIII LTE i9300 L710 i747 i535 T999), Samsung Note 2, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note,
It needs to be plugged into a USB power source but it works well.

Yea, I also bought something similar like Skiva MHL from eBay for my Note2 and it works pretty well on Note Pro too. I believe this is better than you have to buy the MHL adapter, I also did and it is more tiring when you have to bring the HDMI with you; it just makes things more complicated and the quality on TV is not that great comparing to the other one. I also experience 2 black panels on the left and right side of my Sony TV, this was explained by the resolution of Note Pro is too high for the TV or some sort, my TV is full HD by the way. Hope this helps.

One Piece Micro USB MHL to HDMI converter/cable

Has anyone confirmed successful use of a One Piece Micro USB MHL to HDMI converter/cable other than the $40 Samsung OEM one? I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Pro and want to push video and audio to HDMI without carrying around three items (as is the case with this solution that seems to work per other posts: http://www.wowparts.com/mhl-to-hdmi...-1-2014-editin-notepro-12-2-tab-pro-8-4-10-1/).
Thanks!
I tried the Skiva unit (which is essentially a commodity - two red six-foot cables - one for power, one for micro-USB, to an HDMI connector, available under dozens of brand names) - no dice. Even the power connection was unreliable.
I have the multi-piece cheap kit with the angular dongle - also a cheap Chinese commodity and probably precisely what Wow is selling, but at several dollars less after shipping and with better Amazon return policies - coming in a few days and will report then.
I very much prefer the approach my Droid 4 takes, of a dedicated Micro-D HDMI output port. For all the great features of the Samsung SM-T320 (the 8.4" Tab Pro), this and the lack of OTG USB power are bizarre omissions.

The EEKit unit works perfectly. But it comes without directions and has about ten parts, of which you need really just three.
Plug the dongle into the TV, plug the tiny micro-USB to micro-USB SIII plug into the phone input, plug a micro-USB male to micro-USB male cable between that and the Samsung tablet. (Several cables are provided that would work.) Plug your charger into the other micro-USB plug on the dongle. It just works. With several parts left over.
One addendum; the EEEKit unit (and presumably the Wow clone) uses the charger to power the dongle, but doesn't seem to use it to power the tablet. The one-piece red unit (Skiva et al) does power the tablet via the cable... which would be more useful if it also worked for it's intended purpose.

And even more data... since I hadn't sent back the Skiva yet, I tried the S III connector that enabled the EEEKit to work on it. It looks like this unit (Amazon).
With it, the Skiva works. Although it didn't charge with this connected. Which implies that the problem is the Samsung isn't doing the standard outputs.
So the solution is either the full EEEKit set, or the one-piece red cable unit with the S III 5-to11 pin converter.
Bummer... don't want to carry around three pieces, but also don't want to spend $40. Hopefully someone will find a 3rd party one-piece that will work and post here...

Plug the pieces together, glue them with superglue, and it's one piece, still only $15.
