A Simple Notepad - Motorola Photon 4G

Anyone know of a simple Notepad like the one on iPhones, iTouch, or iPads?
I have InkPad but after this last update its bugging the cap put of me because they want me to pay more for a premium service on top of my already paid version. And it's savings multiple version of the same note.
So any recommendations of something similar to the notepad found on the Apple devices would be great, thanks to anyone that any suggestions

I will let you know that there is not a lot of love around here for adfree (at least there weren't in the Hero forums. This is how devs make their money and eliminating them is akin to you taking something the devs gifted you for free and slapping them in the face with it.
That said, I don't know the answer to your question since (as you can tell from the previous paragraph) I have never used it.
U made me feel bad that's true .

Had it with my Droid x and didn't slow it down any. Personaly ads should never have been aloud. It ruins the whole experience. I'm all for having a mobile experience adfree. If devs don't like people blocking ads make free version limited vs full with ads. Otherwise deal with it.
I'll add I'm not a cheap skate. I've got many paid apps. It's just I REALLY hate Ads. I don't install any games with ads except fly dragon. To good to pass up.

I think adfree only edits your hosts file; so, as long as adfree isn't running it won't slow down the phone.
After you have add free up and running you can kill the app via app mamger. Also add free shouldn't effect the speed of your phone. Keep an eye on the apps that are running.

Fast Customer (beta) never wait on hold again

This app, I believe, can be found on the online market. It is maybe the best Android app since gmote(my wife and I used to fight over who had to go and press next episode while watching Netflix).
fast customer will call a customer support number and have them call you, instead of having to wait on hold. Genius!

From what I gather, my phone number came up on the reps screen, and he called me

How do we know the "company" calling us is the actual company and not just some stranger calling and getting info?

SwiftKey 3 Beta Free Download!

Hi everybody, TouchType Ltd. have decided to release their latest beta for the ever popular SwiftKey today for free
Seeing as the demand for the beta is hammering their servers, I decided to upload the .apk to my dropbox for everybody to enjoy. Just download and install like you would with any other app
Here's the file: http://db.tt/GHjXdQi7
FYI, this is a FREE, OPEN beta and therefore this is a FREE APP. I understand the rules of xda, and I do not condone or promote pirating in any way!
I got it from them and I really like it so far.

+1 By far their best release. It's kept me off swype for a whole 2 hours so far. That might be a record

Typing this on the new version of swift k x. THIS IS AMAZING. Thanks for sharing with us...

I bought swift key x, for some odd reason i can't get away from the stock android keyboard.
I like it, but think I still prefer Perfect Keyboard. It seems to me the new smart space feature in the Swiftkey is a little too agressive. I sometimes end up getting spaces where I didn't want them.
i guess i'm the only one who thought it's terrible? I tried it to see if its any better than AI Type that I've been using for over a year. I switched back.

Ha ha...I typically have the opposite problem with swiftkey products - try to add 2 spaces after a sentence and end up with a predicted word instead. I always have to turn off "space bar inserts predicted word" because of this, and it kinda hinders the usability of swiftkey.
Made it about 14 hours (8 of which I was sleeping) before going back to swype
SwiftKey works really well for me. Swype is annoying and the samsung keyboard is awful.

^^^^this - tried renaming a file and it decided for me that I was trying for a sentence - I need to see if it can be toned down.
Loving it so far! thanks
Thanks for posting this. Glad to see more themes.
I like it so far but I don't like how it inserts spaces after I choose a word and how there isn't a long press question mark key.

Someone please tell me how this differs from Swype?
Positives?
Negatives?

I was confused about the question mark too, but today I realized that if you swipe the period key to the left, it automatically uses the other available punctuation depending on how far you swipe. Pretty cool
It took some getting used to, but u love this feature now.

I didn't like that - I also don't know why they swapped the mic button and the number/symbol button. And there's no way I can find to turn off the aggressive parsing of one word/filename into a sentence.
I went back to the original Swiftkey - new is not always better

Well, it's a beta. Maybe it will get better. I love that the space bar is longer. That used to always trip me up. Plus I don't even need a space bar anymore. Lol.

Blackberry to Android Emoticons

Huller (Madea Voice) to all,
I wanted to know if i could replace my emoticons with blackberry ones, or is there an app that would allow me to see the emotiocons that are being sent from blackberry devices (or even iphone, mainly blackberry). I know this might seem like an off the question request, but thats me. I did see that there was a topic is the Evo 4G, I am not aware if it would work.
I appreciate all of your replies in advance.
60 views and no response, I am guessing this is impossible?
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
I'm guessing you might be able to decompile the messaging app to find the icons to change them. If that's where they are stored.
Maybe a third party app can?
Imagika FTW... with Tapatalk 2
I've done a little searching, I will have to do a little more. I use gosms and it has emoticons for the iPhone, but not BlackBerry.
I appreciate the reply!!

[Q] Which app to find my Android if I lose it?

I recently bought a Nexus 4 and I would like to avoid losing it.
I'm very careful, but being it an object of 350 bucks, I would like to be extremely careful.
Does anyone had a good experience with an app and can suggest it? I have no problem in spending some money on it, but it must work with/without internet connection (so I can save my phone with an sms if there isn't internet connection).
Actually I found "Locate My Droid" but I noticed there are various apps of this type, so before buying a PRO version I would like to know some well known names where I can choose from.

I found it useful, however is missing SMS support to locate my phone, that's why I'm asking. I have airdroid but didn't know it has location capabilities.

Yea one time fee it's a must, I don't want any monthly/yearly fee, otherwise I'll spend enough money to buy a new one
Thanks a lot for all this suggestions guys, I'm reviewing all those apps.
TrustGo, also one of the best antivirus apps for android according to tests, yet free
I've used SeekDroid and Cerberus. Out of the two Cerberus is the best hands down. The small one time fee has paid itself off numerous times now. Just my 2 cents.
