[Q] Toshiba folio 100 won't display in devices list - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I would like to update my tablet using adb or fastboot. But after a week I'm still stuck.
I managed to install 'a' usb driver which can connect to the tablet. I installed sdk and I can start adb and fastboot.
However, it's necessary that the tablet shows up if you type adb devices or fastboot devices.
But in both cases the list stays empty, so it can't find my tablet.
However I used a oneclick procedure I found somewhere, and that managed to reboot my tablet. So there must be connection.
I also have red somewhere I should add a string in the usb ini file, but that didn't help. Using the toshiba usb drivers, that didn't help.
So now I'm out of ideas....
Anybody who knows how I can solve this issue?
Any constructive feedback is welcome.

Windows 7 does not recognize Folio 100

Hello, I hope you can help me solve the following problem.
When I try to connect Folio 100 to my PC, this is not recognized as a device and I can not start the adb.
Adb All information displayed in universal bus driver and not as a device.
I suspect there is an error with the driver used by Windows 7, but not how to fix it.
If anyone has a solution, I would be grateful if you share with me.
Greetings to everyone who has read this message

I can't go into specifics - but having dealt with over 30 seperate folio's for a certain company beginning with t and rhyming with froshiba, I can confirm sometimes a device may just not work and be recognised by a windows machine. Not worked out what causes it, but ADB just can't see the device. Put it on a different windows machine and it will work perfectly. I believe putting it in fastboot mode does get round that, but when working in the OS mode you are pretty stuffed unless you change computer.

It worked for me right until I restart my folio to get out of fast boot then the device is gone from android adb devices. Any idea why?
hmmm and again it is connected, driver is right loaded, but fastboot and adb don't see the folio....

Linux device not recognized

Recently switched to linux, installed android sdk, i can mount phone as an ext hard drive when it's on normally.
it's unlocked, i booted into fastboot, tried to use moto-fastboot and the device isn't found.
are there any additional usb drivers i need? i'm lost.
when the device is on normally and connected i get this:
$ adb devices
List of devices attached
???????????? no permissions
dont know if that would help but maybe usb deugging isn´t activated,
i havent unlocked my atrix but maybe there´s the problem.
just a thinking
thanks for the response. i checked at usb debugging is selected. it worked just fine on windows a few days ago but I don't have that installation anymore.
any motorola drivers i need installed? really stuck on this one.

[Q] Cannot access Rockchip 2918 based Tablet via USB

I have a noname chinese made Rockchip 2918 based tablet PC that I am trying to root so I can use some tools to increase performance/etc.
I have ADB and the Android SDK installed.
I have the most recent Rockchip drivers installed.
I have Development Mode turned on on the tablet.
When I plug the device into USB, nothing happens other then the windows notification sound to let me know something was plugged in. No "searching for drivers" nothing. When I go to ADB and do a "ADB Shell" command, it says device not found.
If I boot the tablet into Recovery mode, connect USB, and repeat the above procedure, I get the same result.
Is there a seperate USB Recovery mode I need to get into? I read about this on other RK2918 based tablets and I have tried all the methods to no avail. Volume up and Power is the only combination that does something, and that just takes me into normal recovery mode.
Just a side note, If I connect my HTC Evo 4G LTE and try the shell command, it finds it instantly.
Any ideas on what I am missing here?

Go to my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2362844 use this tool to root the device then use adb wifi. Is the only method to have adb on those rockchip devices without disassambling them. Do not worry the CWM is for all RK2918 devices.

[Q] Unable to find ADB Interface

Hi everybody!
I've been trying to root and upgrade my Tablet S, now that it's possible in release5a. But whenever I plug the tablet to my Windows 7 PC, even debugging mode is enabled, I can't see the Android ADB interface in the device manager.
I just see the tablet listed under "Portable Devices".
I did a factory reset, but nothing.
Do you know if I'm missing any steps? It's not about drivers at this time, as there's no device detected. I tried this on two computers with the same results...
Thanks a lot!!!

Did you install the ADB drivers? If no, then install them. If yes, then reinstall them. Also, you may have to install them manually. Also make sure you have the tablet's USB debugging set to ON.
Go to BluechipJ's Automated ADB Driver Installer for Sony Tablet S and P for drivers and additional information.

Hi, I ended up solving it by praying to the windows god.
Turns out the tablet was working correctly as an MTP device, but I was able to modify the hardware item so it would be seen as a Composite MTP device. Then the ADB interfase appeared and then I was able to install drivers to it.
Anyways, thanks for the time

Moto E XT1021 can't detect phone via adb or fastboot [SOLVED]

Hello!
I was trying to downgrade a Moto E XT1021 and I don't remember how but I ended with the phone stucked in the "bootloader unlocked" screen.
Tried to access the phone on the fastboot flash mode and I can get into the mode by pushing volume down and power on for a few seconds. The problem is that I'm not able to send command to the phone because adb or fastboot doesn't detect it.
The USB cable seems to be working because on the phone screen you can read USB connected and USB disconnected every time I connect or disconnect the cable.
My guess is that there's a problem with the drivers, I've tried everything, of course installing the MotorolaDeviceManager_2.5.4.exe was the first step and then I ended up trying adb-setup-1.4.3.exe and also adb-setup-1..3.exe with no luck. I'm using Windows 7 professional 64 bits.
Right now phone driver says: Android Composite ADB interface.
Hardware ID is USB\VID_22B8&PID_2E80
If I remove the driver the device with no driver says "fastboot condor S"
I want to install 4.4.4 on that phone.
What can I do?
Thanks!
I solved it

at least provide the solution if anyone comes wandering again with the same problem
I really don't know why it worked, but I had several folders with adb, fastboot and firmwares and ona of the folders with fastboot detected the phone, I tried the other folder and that version of fastboot didn't detected the device; really weird.
Same software, same dll's but in different hard drives, the one on the C drive worked and the one in the D drive didn't detect the phone.
As I said, really weird.
