Swiftkey X locks up on web forms? - Motorola Droid X2

I loved this on my DX. I just got an X2 and this locks up when I start typing in certain web forms.
Any known fixes?

Atrix Data connection is inconsistent, and multitouch kb fc every time

Hey guys, I was hoping someone could offer me a solution. I am currently having problems with my data connection and have been for as long as I can remember. I have Atrix rooted, running Honey glow theme based on the 3.5 gingerblur mod, and for some reason without moving at all from a location where I get a good connection, I will be downloading or watching youtube and then all of a sudden my connection goes dead and I can't seem to do anything to revive it and just have to wait patiently for a minute or two. It's pretty effing annoying especially when youre trying to watch music videos or streaming Pandora. Any suggestions?
Second issue, I have to rely on Honeyglows built in Swype kb because everytime I try to use the multitouch kb, it force closes on me instantly every time. Any suggestions? Can I just reinstall motorolla's multitouch kb or some other one? Also this problem only started when I first installed Honeyglow so yes that is probably the problem, but I love the theme and have everything set up the way I want to and really want basically a solution or work around to this problem that actually addresses the problem as opposed to any reinstalling type solution. Any help is mucho appreciato.
I would suggest using a different keyboard from the market there are tons personally I like gingerbread keyboard by steven lin.
Afor the data connection I have had that problem though I have bad service In my house. The fastest way I have found to fix it is to use data switch from the market to disable data and then turn it on again. This seems to fix it. I dont know how to fix it completely but I find that if I reboot once in a awhile I don't have the problem as much. Find an app that supports" hot reboot" it will save a lot of time.
Hope this helps

thanks marko! that helps a lot
The Gingerbread keyboard in the market is good. I was using that at one point. It's better than the blur multitouch keyboard because our stock keyboard has a tendency to miss key presses if you type too fast.
Better Keyboard 8 or Smart Keyboard Pro are the best I've tried though.
Smart Keyboard has hands down the most configurable features of any keyboard. Better keyboard comes pretty close. I use them with the Rapid skin, which is a nice high res skin.
I actually like Better keyboard more for some reason that I can't explain. I seem to type with less errors on it for some strange reason.
I have been using this keyboard for a while now and haven't found one better:

[Q] Just How Reliable is CM7?

Throughout the forums there seem to be fairly conflicting reports about CM7 for the Touchpad, it crashes a lot, it mostly works, lots of apps don't work, most common apps do work.
Basically, how reliable is CM7?
I don't use too many apps, so for me it would mainly be for:
- Browser
- Gmail
- Google Docs
- Facebook
- Twitter
- Spotify
- Swiftkey (does the tablet version work?)
Oh, and the official Touchpad Bluetooth Keyboard.
Would I get a good experience out of the current build?
Some answers after 5 days using CM:
-in my case, no SOD, but it seems to vary
- dolphin hd (browser) works nicely
- SwiftKey x tablet also good
- 2 random reboots in 5 days
- facebook ok if you use fake gps to Set up your location (otherwise it crashes)

I have the official hp touchpad keyboard. It works really well once you get it paired. When it ask for the code on the tp put in 0000 then hit ok. As soon as your done hit 0000 on the the keyboard then hit enter. You have to do this really fast while the tp is running the ring on the screen getting ready to pair it. Good luck

One of the most stable "alphas" I've seen, more of a beta. Running Alpha2, a couple times a day I might have to cycle Airplane mode to get wifi back. This seems more frequent if hopping multiple APs. A couple apps you listed have issues;
- Google Docs - current version FCs, had to sideload old version 1.0.4r (search the forum, there are discussions on this)
- Facebook - FCs unless you run a fake gps app first
This morning I had to power cycle it to get touchscreen back, but even so I feel no urge to reboot into WebOS.

No problems here

I have been running 2.1 alpha since it was released. The only issue I have had is the common wifi issue. Occasional disconnects but otherwise stable enough to run as a daily driver.

I received my touchpad the morning of Oct.17. I have been using cm7 exclusively since that evening. No.need for Web OS.
HTC Vision(G2), meXdroidmod Ghost Chili AIO ROM/ICS CM7 theme.
The Google Docs App force closed on me today when i downloaded/installed it.
Camera doesnt seem to work, it also force closes.
Had a few SODth but saw a thread earlier today about installing an ap (softlocker) and its helped thus far.
No random reboots for me. Ive been running CM7 alpha2 since last Thurs
Everything except wifi is fairly reliable. I only have secured networks, so wifi constantly crashes for me. I'd wait for the next release if it was important to you.

As for me,
1. Market sometimes FC when installing (not a big deal)
2. Wifi drops occasionally and need manual reconnecting
3. Battery drain during sleep, at the rate of around 2 to 3% per hour
4. Scrolling a bit jerky for a dual core 1.5GHz device
5. Facebook FC without FakeGPS
Otherwise everything is working so far. But then I haven't tested everything.

Im waiting for alpha 3. I ended up removing it from my pad since mine wouldn't stay connected to WiFi for longer then 30 seconds at a time.

I only got mine last night and got CM7 loaded within minutes of opening it. I had some problems with wireless until I switched mine to channel 6 from channel 11. It ran solid as a rock for a few hours until I shut it down for the night.
Renders all my various size and density photos (all JPG) quickly and very crisply.
Netflix ran good.
Youtube was okay.
My mp4s encoded for my Nook Color were all messed up (played but video was whacky, striped accross the screen, these play great on webOS)
Plays my MP3 without issue (need to move my album art over from my Nook Color)
Quadrant scores are pretty low (low 2000's) only due to the FPS graphics not being optimized (GPU acceleration probably is not finished.)

Browser is meh. But 3rd party Opera is fantastic. Nearly as smooth as safari on ipad.
Gmail is fantastic.
Google Docs is great.
Facebook sucks if you don't install a fakegps app or the older 1.5.2 apk that didn't need GPS.
Twitter's great..
Thats all I know. But I do know that the camera doesn't work (on EITHER of my CM Touchpads) and that each of mine have also had a random shutdown and refused to wake up (without me long pressing the power/home buttons repeatedly)... but that being said... very sweet stable for an Alpha. In fact, I think it's more stable than my phone, also on CM. And more importantly, it's better than WebOS if only for the app selection.
Compared to web os its 100% better some bugs but I haven't booted into web os since the first alpha.

have SOD's despite the fact that i've tried every work around i could find... actually the last one was probably due to the fact that the work around drained the battery... between that and the wifi i've pretty much given up on it until a more stable for me release. it is in very good shape though. i liked having a netflix tablet for a bit. wish HP had made it 16:9 but oh well.
anyway since you can dual boot i really dont' see any reason for people not to put it on there. Pulse newsreader is so damn cool on a tablet

oooo ill have to check it out. Thanks
Just installed yesterday and very impressed for an alpha build. Only get FCs for market and Facebook but realised that i need the fake gps. Did have to reboot the first time as apps wouldn't install saying i had no space. On the whole i like it and especially adobe reader as its miles more quicker and better quality than the WebOS version. But i do miss the WebOS interface so i can see what apps i'm running and throwing the cards away to close the app.

not compatible?!

It seems more and more over the past few weeks, I've been noticing that apps aren't compatible with our nooks.
It started with some games, and even though it was just Scrabble, I let it slide. But now Facebook and adobe reader?! What's the deal?
Upgrade to Cm7.1 stable or above or change your dpi to 160.

I've never been able to get scrabble to work, and others have had problems too.
I'm running n253 and my screen density is set to 160. I've always just chalked it up to not following android best practices (my scrabble is 1/4 screen size, but the scrabble exit menu comes up full screen).
Facebook now requires a GPS, some have used GPS tethering, I use "Fake GPS" to fake a GPS location and spoof the facebook check.
I don't know about adobe, I stopped using it.

Swype Beta issue in browsers?

Is anyone else having issues with Swype Beta in browsers where it won't auto space? I have used Dolphin, Chrome just don't seem to be working for me and the default internet browser won't auto space in text fields.
I think I have had that problem with Swype and browsers on my thunderbolt and galaxy nexus.
I haven't bothered with Swype yet on my DNA. The HTC keyboard is working quite well for me. I do wish that when I go back to correct a previous word, that the various "guesses" world show up again, the way Swype does.

I think it is a browser problem as most of the keyboards I have installed act strange in text input fields (like this one). I use messagease which has "backspace" and "delete" and delete does not always work. At present I am using the new Dolphin beta (very fast). Other strange things happen as well. If I try to move the cursor left or right it highlights text green!?
my auto space Swype seems to be working fine in Firefox and opera.
Does this happen in all text fields or just the address bar? It is supposed to not auto-space in the address bar to facilitate entering URLs
So yes it is all text fields and not the address bar. i did try Firefox and that seems to be working. First time using Firefox on Android and I actually like it. So may stick with that.
I've experienced the same issue with the default browser and it was really annoying. I installed Chrome and it seems to work wonderfully for me. The Swype issue went away and I love the syncing between desktop and phone browsers.
You can try SwiftKey Flow beta, it spaces in the stock browser fine. So does the stock htc keyboard with trace turned on.
This Swype bug has been present for a while, not sure it will be fixed

Nexus 10 and Boat Browser Issues

Is anyone experiencing issues with this combo that gradually get worse and worse? Mostly I have issues filling out forms on websites, to post and such. Sometimes it's extremely difficult, and sometimes due to the amount of quirks it's impossible. I used to be able to find workarounds for these form issues, but more and more quirks keep popping up.
Also the screen flakes out once in a while and you have to restart the app. But the worse part, by far, is trying to fill in forms.
I don't know if Nexus 10 is the right forum for this because it might be related to the webkit infrastructure Boat Browser relies upon.
The strangest thing just happened. I was on a website where the background is white. Then for like a fraction of a second the screen got very bright. Could I be hacked? Did someone maybe just take a picture of me and messing up my Boat Browser?
my problem with the boat browser is that i cant maximize video.....when i do that i see only black screen with audio.
it start from the last 2 update of the app
if i use different browser like Maxthon the video is ok
but still i think that boat browser is the best for a desktop internet surfing

That happened to me too. I switched to a different flash version and its working better now. Sometimes it's a pain to get it to start playing, but it doesn't freeze Boat Browser any longer. I usually bypass this problem by going into full screen and it will start playing by itself. The version I am on now is 11.1.115 according to http://whatversion.net/flash/
Hope that helps.
