awesome! looks pretty nice, like a S2 but wider...
so its kinda in between an s2 and a tab 7" then? might have to invest now i sold my tab....
Cracking phone but wayyy too big for my liking, the size of the GS2 is perfect anything beyond that is just too big you may as well just buy a tablet.
I love this phone. Will buy it if the audio and yellow tint issue is not there on this one. I love the size as well as don't think it wont fit my pocket. Great combination of phone and tablet in one. And remember G2 itself is usually much more powerful than most of the tablets! If this phone has better audio, will definitely go for it.

Has anyone used the Wisefinger product and can share a review? I think this would work well with a shiny case like the SGP ultra or Speck. It can also do double duty as a stand. I was just wondering if anyone has tried this combo with the Note.

someone posted about this on another thread here today. still looks like a interesting idea. i don't want something extra hanging off the rear-end of my Note to add thickness to it. just makes it that much harder to put into my pocket.
That has to be a joke right? Reminds me of one of those products you'd see in a commercial for terrible inventions

I have one and its extremely akward and uncomfortable to use with the note. The swivel feature of the wise finger its too loose and i find that when reaching over to the other side of the phone one handed, the phone rotates 45 degrees and i have to correct it with the other hand. Ive tried placing it in multiple areas on the back of the phone and i have this problem all the time
It does work as a kickstand though. However, the added bulk and lack of functionality does.not justify every day use

i have sgs2 but i want to know that which on is better i love too Nexus s bujt will some one guide which one is better power wise Support wise and developing wise
thanks
Galaxy nexus and Nexus S are 2 different models.
both got development support but Nexus S is old single core, Galaxy Nexus is the newest google phone.
speed wise there isnt much difference, difference is about the software, as the nexus runs on pure android.
iPhone 2.

1. Read about the SGS2.
2. Read about the Nexus.
3. Make your own mind up and don't expect others to do it for you.
As an experience, I recommend the Galaxy S2.
Yea galaxy s2 us better in my oppinion... Maybe the graphics are better in nexus .. But still sgs2 is better + a great look.. We r nt having nexus in our country.. Samsung didnt realised it here..

over the last couple days my onscreen keyboard has been acting flaky. I cant select so of the letters, e's are r's , s's forget about it. if I rotate the phone it works. do you think the digitizer is bad?
There is a touch screen test app in the play store that you could try, and you could also try a different keyboard and see if there are similar problems.
I hope that halped.
wow, it is screwed.there is about 1/2 inch band top to bottom that you cannot use

yeah no wp8 either *spit* looking at LG optimus. I just dont want to make a horrible mistake like my wife's HTC inspire, i really wanted to upgrade that, too bad my atrix is becoming unusable for texting
Hm, phone recommendations now? This is quite off-topic here, not to mention there are several other threads about this already...
Get a replacement digitizer with the bezel off eB!ay and search YouTube for a guide to replacing it. I've done it twice now and I'm rubbish at fixing things usually!
I just found out about a barometer in some Android devices, but it doesn't look like HTC phones have a barometer. Anyone have any confirmation? Maybe the hardware is there but there are no drivers?
A barometer would typically be used to help with GPS, but is now being used to help short-term local weather forecasting with PressureNET. I'm in western WA, and anyone around here knows the local weather is difficult to predict. It would be cool to help contribute.
I am pretty sure it doesn't. What devices do have it?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda app-developers app
Really?
+1 for what devices have a built in barometer? That seems like a really niche feature for a smartphone.
The Motorola Xoom has one. Originally it was thought it could be used with Google Maps and it would know what floor of a building you were on or so I was told.
They are usually listed as a " pressure sensor" and they are supposed to help with GPS. If I remember correctly the s3 has one.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
Yeah, the Xoom and various Samsung devices have one. I was hoping that some HTC phones would possibly have the hardware but not the drivers (yet). Oh well, wishful thinking.
Galaxy nexus has one.

Having a problem getting a direct embedded picture. And the stupid browser is so old.... sorry.
Anyways, the screenshot is of temple run. Notice the "Pressure" entry -- misreported, or is it a barometer reading? Weirdness.

Yep I did the same. Well ...i preordered this time before seeing the phone in person, but it's a Note 8 I had no doubts

Thanks for posting pics of the Orchid Grey Note 8. I blindly ordered it and read somewhere that it was purple'ish and started to freak out [emoji23]. Looks fantastic and I'll be glad to have something other than a black slab for once. Finding it in the car floor while driving at night is a nightmare haha.
I'm curious why samsung decided to make the phone taller...

It's because most activities require scrolling down or upwards, a taller screen would mean more viewing and less scrolling. At least this is what they said on the live release event.
Personally I think it looks great too now they have moved onto software keys instead
