I used to use AdFree until they updated with no changelog and it seemed that some kinda shady shananigens might be going on. Then I found out you can easily put in your own hosts file and block ads without a standalone app.
All you gotta do is replace the hosts file in /system/etc with your own. I use this one I got from the General section a while back: https://www.box.net/shared/ds6tii3tthxc0kjm4oac

Just checked and they've added a bunch more free paid apps. A couple games that look alright, including Age of Zombies if you weren't lucky enough to get it when Amazon had it for free.

I don't buy many apps, but i snagged this when I saw it. Fun game. I like the touch controls. It has a lot of content. Been running smoothly.

yea the menus seems messed up on my 3vo
I've had some issues with game. The menus and it has frozed on the loading screen a few times so hopefully they fix soon, but it's a fun game.
For me the menu is messed up and it freezes at the end of the first level but worth the 99 cent once they fix it

The vending machines at work just went up $1.85 for a little thing of fruit snacks! Robbery I say.
On that note $1 is nothing just pay for it, so we can get more good games and developers!
The game is fun I really like it except for the weird buggyness, they really need to fix it!
I bought it as well the day it came out.
Not bad for $0.99
You should also check out Asphalt 6
It's a pretty nice game that actually uses 3d
One thing I learned about gameloft games though.
There are jerks when it comes to switching phones.
I purchased 6 games on my mytouch 4g from them and when I got my nexus s they no longer show up as a purchase and they don't show up on my evo 3d either.
Long story short. Make sure you keep a copy of the apk and antilvl it for yourself of course. Not to redistribute. This will ensure that your purchase can be installed on other phones you may have.
I see this as a big issue for people that like quality games and get new phones often.

Btw, not sure this is just a "today only" deal as I got this the other day. Most of the free apps from Getjar seem to be there for a while. So, not sure how long it is going to last, but it is definitely one that I liked from them. Lots a nice widgets to get since it is the paid version for free.

Nope, you get what you get and that's it no updates on getjar. If you try to update on Marketplace you can, but they'll charge you the full price.

There's quite a few good free (paid?) apps on there. I don't understand why someone would publish through them, but looking it up online it seems legit.

I would bet that the sales for those apps went down so either getjar paid them to be able to publish the website(and they recoup the cost with their ads) or the app dev gets a cut of the ad money based on how many times their app is downloaded from the site..
edit: just looked at their site:

It's an awesome event that Google is doing! Only downside I have seen alot of "repeat" apps so to speak. This is the 3rd of 4th time I've BW on the market for $.10.

Does Swift Key X support a Swype-style method of input?
I really like the theming and appearance of the Swift Key X keyboard, but I've been spoiled by Swype's ease of use.

Bummer. I installed it anyway on a whim, and and I absolutely LOVE the blue skin.

Seriously. Slightly over three decades. So ready for the end-so long as Im playing Dragon's Lair.
I used to love this game and spent a lot of money at the arcade playing it when I was a kid. It was the first game that cost 50 cents. LOL How does the control using the touchscreen work? It seems like a joystick was necessary on the arcade game because of the timing of the moves and the click of the joystick at the precise time.

Its good. They did a good job. Definitely glad to have it on my mobile phone. If someone told me years ago that I'd be playing this on a small device that can make calls, send mail and cause phantom vibrations all while fitting in a pocket, I would have asked, 'what the hell is a 'phantom vibration'?'.

I got xmen on day one too. Much easier to beat the game without running to a token machine. We spent hours upon hours playing xmen at the arcade, I went berserk when I saw it in the market.

oh yeah, I'm already figuring out this one.. great memories on that game.. never enough quarters, but great memories.

I think its NOVA 2, although now if you update your market app to the Play app you can see them all on the front page.

It's not showing on my Note but it started showing for on the website for me. It seems like it was added after the first batch of games.
Only apps compatible with the note will show up in the market on the note. NOVA 2 and Asphalt 6 and some other games dont work on the note
