It is not possible to change the quick menu (or what ever Samsung calls it) apps.
It is possible to remove the screenshot button and the quick menu button if you have custom rom.
Yes it is possible to change the apps. Samsung has released an API to allow you to add different apps in.
But it is not possible to do as of now.

TouchWiz adds a quick launch button at the bottom middle of the screen that pops up six app icons. Is it possible to change which apps pop up?
Thanks.
Nope. Buried in the framework... Someone theming or making a custom ROM may be able to, but out of the box, no
how can i delete quick launch?
or move it to the top of the screen?
it often steals space key from on-screen keyboards.
moreover, i removed binded apps and now quicklaunch hangs

Hi, I would like to know how I can toggle Recent App of ICS. It can be shown by long clicking on the home button. The one that has preview because I don't like to be pressing so much my home button as I am noticing improper responses from it. Is there a way to put this as an icon or widget on the homescreen? Thx
Anyone? Tried apps like button savior, etc. But it shows their built-in recent apps instead of the firmware's or samsung's.
BUMP
I know this post is old, but Im trying to figure a way too without using an app or service BUMP\
I found what I was looking for in app LMT using the "invisible swipe gestures" set to top center of screen so that swiping top left is notifications, top right is quick settings, and top center opens recents. This is for anyone who might be searching and happen to land on this dead thread. Any other particular method of shortcut will work if you set it to Activities>SystemUI>Overview.recents is the path to this.

I use GMD Gestures, because my sensitive buttons aren't working. Before, I used CM official inbuilt option that you can change the option sensitive (or back) button for recent Apps. Can really recommend that. Greetings.
Sorry to be such a noob after all these years, but there is this tab thingy on the home screen with a few app shortcuts in it that just is in the way. I can figure out how get the shortcuts removed, and how to move the tab to different sides of the screen, but how do I just get rid of it? I don't know what its called or I would search for an answer, and I don't see any mention of it in the manual. I just want to nuke it. How?
Long press the back key, lower right soft key.
It's for your multi Window apps.
You have been thanked! :victory:
This only removes the tab, if you aren't going to use multi-Window the pull down the notification and swipe left to scroll the toggles and disable multi-Window.

I have an app installed on my S2 which occasionally causes some issues. One serious issue is an occasional tendency to cause the phone to keep jumping to the Home page. Unfortunately, I need the app installed due to work reasons.
When it starts acting up, I've found to solutions. The simpler one is to reboot the phone. The second one is to open the applications manager, go to the app's details and force-stop it (normal stop is insufficient), after which it canbe restarted. However, if it's displaying the home-page-jumping bug, this is difficult because the phone exits the app manager before I can reach the required screen.
Is there a way to set up a shortcut so that I can kill the app with one click? Alternatively, is there an app which will allow me to do somethig like this?
Thanks
If u use another launcher like nova or apex it's already there, with ur app icon.
U only have to it (a kind of popup menu opens) and select App-Info.
Here u get directly to settings>apps>*app name*
Hope I could help.

I'm using Go Launcher Ex, does it have that option?
Alternatively, is it possible to set this up using Rom Toolbox Pro's Command Shortcuts?

If you're rooted, try....
Settings>>developer options...
Way down at the bottom of the list there's a setting that says "kill app back button" . Check the box, then to use...long press the phones back button and it *should* kill the current foreground app.....

The problem is that the app never works in the foreground - it runs as a service
Try this......

It's a clone of the Samsung stock task manager which I found here on XDA. Use a root explorer to copy and paste it into system/app, set the permissions to rw-r--r-- and reboot. It has that "active applications" tab and the associated "exit all" button. It might help....can't hurt....

Well I got some problems on my ROM is deodexed LSD
Yesterday I flashed into my ROM navigation bar and changed my DPI to 182(flashed dailer, calculator, market, camera, launcher for 182 too)
I really liked it but because of the navigation bar some options and features get bugged. Now I don't want too lose my navigation bar, but I want fix my bugs
1) Call log shows extra menu button under Keypad, Logs, Favorites, Contacts, which is stealing a big slice of my screen, and a slice upper the navigation bar (very annoying)
2) After I flashed navigation bar I lose my launchers quick menu 4 app names and app menu name
3) after finding these 2 problems I wanted to screenshot it. I tried like 20 times but it stopped working at all. I don't have a power menu screenshot option so I'm searching for navigation bar screenshot option or power menu screenshot option. I couldn't find on google so I have opened this thread.
I want to reamain stock as possible
Sorry for my bad english .
