I guess this ROM is simply about minor bug fixes. Maybe Major , too
But a jump from 1.x to 3.x is normally a BIG update (with new sense & android version).

No I Can NOT!!!! But I can make it smaller....
Ok guys I have just installed this and its definitely faster and smoother. I am still playing around with it can't say anything about how good is the battery drain until I have used it for at least a day. Hope this helps. All the best.

the nexus builds wont run on Hero, different dpi's, xml's and graphics wont load at all, u will end up in a constant FC and bootloop.

Well the first set of roms will just be a clean build of 2.2 any ways no need for sence it just tends to make the roms slower and bigger in size

no performance increase it is supposed to increase the quality of images but i really can't tell myself lol still included it as a nice extra though

is this rom going to update the main version to the ics leak version, because if it does lot of users are going to have to through hoops to downgrade. If that is the case please let us know in the OP. I can manually replace it before flash.

if anyone has apktool that works for ics for linux pm me cant get anything done without it lol was luckily able to decompile SettingsProvider.apk so data can be on by default

They say in the post it's likely NOT official. Although, I do hope that they have fixed the new Kernel in it! Waiting for the Dev's to let us know if it's of any use.

If this is different than the previous leak, I wonder if it fixes the kernel issues we've been having... might as well wait for the real thing at this point IMO.

Haha by the time I made my post, you beat me to the kernel comment. We can only hope it help... perhaps the devs can just transplant the kernel if it helps and the other changes don't make it incompatible with the previous leak.

just wanted to point your attention at yesterday's nice finding. If you still haven't found a player that matches your needs (especially regarding playlists and such) have a look at this Beta. Haven't tested all the stuff yet but I already like it - and I have been the guineapig: runs fine on my Willy atm: [APP][2.3+] XenoAmp - a bit different audio player.
Hint: read the OP to find out (the concepts, what it's capable of, if you might like it) - it's worth a read anyway lol.

sad, it's based on CM7 nightlies and has Symp kernel - so it's not much away from my setup. I have seen others with problems (Desire and LG phones for example) - there has also been an "emergency release 0.9" yesterday, but I'm already on release 0.11 - the dev seems to be very responsive to all the bug reports
--- EDIT --- if you tried it 2 days ago it most likely has been one of the very first releases I guess...?
It was 08 version from 16th of august.
Currently I'm on a froyo sense Rom,Will try it with some GB rom ASAP.

I see (looks like some kind of sense fever has been spread over the forums lol). Guess you have seen the remarks on froyo? He said it should work but he couldn't test it (he'll probably like to get some error log...)
I still like it very much - first of all the approach with the playlists (that you just could add titles by selecting them in any file explorer) and the clean UI etc. - and that everything is set up by using a db etc etc - still testing though...

Well,I love the change.I really cant stick to a rom for more than two days,may be because I have a spare phone which serves me the basic purpose of a cell phone.
I tried installing it on my current rom(indeed froyo) but it sadly gave me parsing error.
Have an ipod touch for my music so dont use anything on my willy but it looks quite nice.

rename it to .apk from .zip,and try installing it normally.

the files on the op are all apk files. Either your system gets it wrong or you tried to open it on your pc with a double-click? The app is supposed to be installed like every other app
Just in case you never installed apps from other locations than the market/play store: this must be allowed in settings
Btw: it's a good idea to post the app related questions into it's original thread (while this hasn't been directly related to the app lol)

It might take a few more updates of the app so that it becomes smooth. The dev has thought quite a lot many thing for the low end ldpi phones. He has slowly started to work upon it along with other requests(which seemed legit to him) from users. Great dev amd a high scope in the market for this app.

yes indeed, great dev, quick responses to almost everything. Been about to make the German translation but have been half an hour too late lol.
It's good to see that this highly sophisticated stuff runs almost smooth on our GPU-less Willy. There might be players that are a even more lightweight but compared to the players I've used this is on top of the list (already with a gap to the following ones although an early beta).
For sure if I used my phone as my audio player! I would be using this.

What i think is KitKat was designed for low RAM requiring phones right? Its on their official site that it requires less RAM now so maybe that's why we are getting it. Just an approach

Yeah,the sources are out. And i read on Google+ that CM team is already working on it.
Plus nexus 4 and 7 already got 4.4 build from source and PA 4.4.
They have some great devs,well i can't expect any less from flagship devices.
