Bootloader Sim Lock (Re-lock?) - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hi all, I'm looking to see if my phone will be re-locked if I unlock the bootloader. I do not use the network from which I bought my phone, so my SIM will stop working if it re-locks...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17374120&postcount=26
I found this helpful post and tool, however, I have not seen a guide to what messages may come up with the tool. Mine says:
SEMC Simlock Certificate . What does that mean? I should say how/where I got my phone unlocked, I went to a phone unlocking/sales shop.
Thanks
The SE service menu says:
Network 3
Network subset 3
Service provider 3
Corporate 3
SIM 0

Unlocking Sony Xperia X10

Hi,
I just bought a Sony Xperia X10 (orange phone). I am trying to get the phone to work on Vodafone Ireland.
I got the unlocking codes on a site. tried them the phone seemed to unlock.
When I power the device up it asks me to enter my pin as normal. Then I am propmted to enter a Network unlock pin. I have tried entering the Unlock code, my PIN, my unblock code. It keeps telling me that pin is wrong & for me to contact my network operator.
When using an orange SIM, phone works ok.
I presumed that the unlock code was wrong so I went to a shop to get the unlock code & they supplied me with code I got over the net.
Any one have this problem, or now to resolve it. I have all providers and repsonse are as follows:
Orange: You are not existing customer.... Cant help you
Vodafone Ireland: Contact orange or go to a shop to get it unlocked.
Internet site: Still awaiting reply
Any one got any ideas or solutions.
Thanks
what is the exact message that you get when you enter the unlocking code:
1- Wrong Code
Or
2- Sim Locked, Contact Opertor.
??!
If the phone tells you to contact the operator it means that the wrong unlock code was entered for more than 5 times... so maybe the guy you bought it from entered some unlock codes for fun?
The phone is now blocked and the right unlock code won't help you anymore... I have the same problem and as far as I know the only possibility is to go to the operator who locked the phone, in your case Orange. I'm sure they will help you, but they won't do it for free of course
same problem here but i buy from AT&T any unlocker avelable please help
Call att. I have never had a problem with them telling me the correct way to reset the phone for free and get the pulk code. I have read other posts that if you've had the phone for six months they will tell you the unlock code.

[Q] simlock free

I think my xperia s is simlocked. How can I check this and how can I unlock it?
Put another simcard in (different network)????
Or *#*#7378423#*#* in dial pad > Service Info > SIM Lock
thanks for the reply
I cant try another simcard unless i cut it but then it wont fit in my other phone anymore. Don't mind to cut if im sure the sim works.
I've tried *#*#7378423#*#* and gives all 0's at the sim lock page. Does this mean its simlocked or not?
if there is a 0 everywhere mean there is no simlock i think
go to configuration and see if the bootloader unlock allowed if yes happy boy if no then you wont be able to access the fastboot
i did have lot of problem with arc before
0 means its not locked. 5 on network means its locked
great thanks for the info, guess i'll be cutting the simcard then
It worked thanks all
i have same problem everthing 0 but still cant see my sim i try another sim but still same
and my bootloader : no
what can i do pls help me

Hey up pal, I got unlocked my Sony Xperia S from Orange UK for only £40. Text me if u r interested.

how can i unlock my without paying anything
man everything 0 this is not simlock i know it but maybe county lock :S any idea
If it's not working with Sim with counter 0 means your Sim-pin counter is 0 & @ this moment no solution for that.

[Q] Unlock Motorolla Atrix 4Gafter max number of unsuccessful attempts

Hello Support,
I am in very bad situation.i bought Motorola Atrix MB860 4G from US via eBay and then I took it to India and when i use local sim card it asked me network unlock code. By mistake i gave more thn 10 times wrong code and now this phone is totally locked and not accepting correct code.
Please help me to unlock it,it very important and urgent for me.
I requested the unlock code from AT&T and they provided me the 8 digit code.
But meanwhile i tried some random unlock codes and because of that my mobile device is now not accepting correct unlock code that is provided by service provider.
I understand from AT&T that i exceed the limit for entering the correct code,So it seems hardware locked and can not reset the max number unsuccessful attempts only hardware manufacture can help me to reset that counter or unlock it for any other service provider.
I come to know from the internet that this is happening with many other mobile users who tried to connect to any other service providers and now their mobiles are now useless as devices are fully locked and not even access original service.
Hope i will get any positive reply else this device will be useless and i loose very important stuff from device.

What changes on phone when SIM unlocked ?

Hi Forum. May be my first post. I just SIM unlocked LG V10 on T-Mobile. Here is what I can say about the process that might be helpful to others:
1-Phones can be SIM locked by manufacturers so that service providers ensure that phones can only be used on their network or certain countries. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIM_lock for more information.
2-The process of unlocking requires the service provider to request unlock codes from the manufacturer. The service provider may have requirements to unlock ( e.g. in my case I had to put $100 balance on T-Mobile prepaid card ). This process took 5 working days at which time T-Mobile emailed me to inform me that they were ready for me to initiate unlock on my device.
3-On my device, I ran a "Device Unlock" app which connected with somebody ( T-Mobile ? ) and verified my phone was actually unlock eligible and viola. I'm SIM unlocked.
What I would like to know is what has changed on my phone ( e.g. firmware, some information on some partition ) ? Does this mean I can now root, change ROMs and my phone will remain SIM unlocked ? Any links to information about what actually happens when device unlocked would be appreciated.

What I can tell you is that, if you did unlock permanent it is going to be unlocked even after rooting and installing new roms etc.
Now, I want to ask in this forum if the phone can be unlocked if the t-mobile unlock app says it is not eligible to unlock. I bought my phone on eBay, called t-mobile the phone is clean, but they could not unlock it for me because needs an account... So now I'm stuck trying to find a 3rd party unlock website to do it, 2 already said they could not... So I have the phone but can't use it. Any suggestions?
Yes, I can confirm that on this LG V10 having performed a SIM unlock and then having switched ROMs the unlock remained in effect.

Help with Sim Unlocking E2303

Hi I would like to remove the sim lock so I can use any provider with the phone, I have the Unlock code from EE but they say to type *#*#7378423#*#* then go to service info then sim lock and see if "Network " if it has a zero after it then you need to contact Sony GB Support to get the Counter reset I have done this and sony was no help so Can anyone help with how to reset the counter so I can input the Sim unlock code.
Android version 6.0.1
Many thanks
Aaron
go to where the phone was bough originally, if it has X mark and a 0 the phone cannot be unlocked via code
Ok so that means I have to send it to sony for them to unlock it and remove the Hardlock. I did contact sony and they said I needed to send it to them But I have been told the same thing in the past and this excellent Forum has always helped.
if you bough it directly to sony yes, but might be weird they carrier sim locked the phone, only carriers do simlock and they should remove that lock for free or a small fee if you paid full price for it already
