Give this a try.. Mine didn't work but when I deleted the MMS APN, everything worked. It's weird but it worked.. doesn't hurt to try! (I'm on rogers though.. maybe the same will help you!)

thanks but that didn't work
anyone else?

MMSZAP T-Mobile UK Help

Has anyone got the exact settings working for MMSZAP in the UK please? I've tried billions of combinations with this to no avail.
Please help! Thanks, points all round if so
Scrap that, I've sorted it. For those of you having trouble doing this yourselves, the MMSC code for MMSZAP is the MMS relay code just so you know. You do not need the APN.
My MMSZap settings are exactly as follows:
MMSC: http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002
User: user
Pass: pass
MMS Proxy: 149.254.201.135
MMS Port: 8080
Works great

Data not working (Rogers)

Hey guys, I have an Xperia x10a, got it from someone who had rogers. I decided to debrand and root it. That seemed to work out fine. Now I am trying to get the 3g to work, and it just doesn't seem to.
I have added APN settings for two different variations.
One was internet.com, the other was rogers-core-appl1.apn, neither work. I am trying to get a hold of rogers tech but they seem to have no clue whats going on.
Here is my info:
X10a
Firmware - 1.6
Baseband - 1.1.31
Build - R2Ba026
This is driving me nuts, but I cant seem to get it working.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks.

All I seem to get is network errors. Not really sure what to do, enter all the info, enabled the APN from the menu, wifi works fine, but it just doesnt seem to work. The auto select network detects rogers, but the settings just dont seem to work.
Thanks.
Kitu.
I am very sorry guys, apparently rogers had a block on the data for some apparent reason. For some reason the first couple tech representatives didn't tell me there was a block.
Thank you those settings worked perfectly.
Didn't mean to waste anyones time.
Thank You.

AT&T APN/MMS Settings in ICS ROMs?

Using the gingerbread settings (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109983) on an unlocked i9100 w/ 4G data plan and old ROM (Checkrom), i had no problems with MMS Send and Receive.
Now, i'm on ICS using Wanamlite 9.6 and cannot send/receive MMS.
I added APN (w/ "phone") for my HSPA+ Connection as always.
I edited the default APN (wap.cingular) to only be APN Type: mms
What are folks using for ICS Sammy-based ROMs using AT&T's network??
Check your MMS port in your APN. Should be 80.

definitely at 80...
in order to download or send MMS's, i have to go to the APN settings and revert back to the wap.cingular APN (default) vs. the "phone" APN (manually added to take advantage of the backhaul network).

I'm on AT&T in the U.S., using WanamLite ICS 9.5, and here are my APN settings that work properly with MMS. There are 2 APNs; one for MMS and one "Phone" APN to get the HSPA+ speeds.
APN #1
Name: MMS
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS proxy: wireless.cingular.com

MNC: (don't change this number)
APN type: mms,supl
APN protocol: IPv4
APN protocol (if applicable): IPv4
everything else: <Not set>
APN #2

APN: Phone
MMS protocol (if applicable): WAP 2.0
MCC: (don't change this number)
MNC: (don't change this number)
APN type: default,admin,hipri
APN protocol (if applicable): IPv4
everything else: <Not set>
edit: Once both APNs are entered, you need to select the MediaNet/Phone APN (the little radio button on the right side).

Ah. What you can do is have the "phone" APN set as internet only, then create a wap.cingular APN with the MMS server and other settings, and set it as mms only. That should work.
EDIT: in other words, what henrybravo said. Looks like we were posting at the same time.
This finally worked...
2 APNs:

APN: phone
everything else default
APN Type: default
Name: ATT
APN: wap.cinguar
USER NAME: [email protected]
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com

You may need to change APN type on the wap.cingular one to only be mms and add supl to the phone one. Then make sure the phone one is selected.
EDIT: and add password CINGULAR1 and MMS port 80 to the wap.cingular one as well.

I'm on the Samsung Infuse 4G on AT&T in the States, running the new ParanoidAndroid ICS, and initially MMS didn't work. These APNs fixed the problem perfectly for me. Sending and receiving flawlessly.

I have someone working on an MMS app. Unfortunately they don't have much time these days. We always have MMS problems when flashing devices to Cricket. The app would work the same way as the one for the CDMA carriers.
I tested it with Solavei. It works, but the notifications with JB are off.
So you guys saying I can buy this phone from verizon then put my ATT sim in and everything will work, data ?

You should get talk, text, data (HSPA, I think there are some questions about HSPA+, and LTE is a different band so you won't get that).
You'll have to enter the AT&T APN. I can send with GOsms and the MMSC entered in those settings. Still can't receive. That's why I have a friend working on that.
I usually work on CDMA stuff and have a normal 9/5. That's why I've left the door kind of open here.
can't get ATT APN to work
I am having trouble setting up my DNA to work on ATT data network. I put the micro sim from my iphone 4s in the DNA, changed the APN following op's settings but could never get mobile data connected. Making phone call is fine. Did I do anything wrong? Any input appreciated.

I am able to receive mms with a Tmo sim. I have not changed any apn settings so no data yet.
I was able to just drop in a T-mo card and pick up data.. But as you'll know edge only. With brief moments of HSDPA when I'm assuming I was close enough to a tower that has been upgraded to the 1900 band. Well I decided to go to at&t and grab a sim to see if there was an improvement. I couldn't personally get any of the APN settings to work that were presented in the op and being that I'm new to anything gsm I've got no clue why: Lol.. Could it be a location thing? However I did find a setup that does indeed pickup data for me. Figured I'd share just in case there were others having the same issue. Keep in mind MMS is still hit and miss. I've had them go through out&in but it fails most of the time.

Since we all know there is an issue sending and receiving MMS, I do the bare minimum to get my AT&T SIM to work. I create a new APN and only change 3 lines.....
Under "Name" I put PTA
Under "APN" I put phone
Under "MMS Port" I put 8080 [more secure than port 80]
Leave everything else alone. Don't add your MMSC address, proxy or anything else.
Now save and you are good to go. I get HSDPA. Don't know if it's + or not, but I get the exact same speeds as I normally do with my AT&T phones.

I personally tried exactly as you referenced... I got zilch! Lol.. my device would not grab data until I used the Cingular apn information. As far as the MMS you're exactly right. I tried numerous combination with no result. The few times it did go through seem to be a fluke. I just threw the Cingular apn settings up because I was able to grab data and hopefully it may help someone else that tried the simple apn settings to no avail... I'm going to order a Straight Talk sim this weekend and see how that goes as well. I've got a month prepaid for both T-Mobile and AT&T so I've got a little time to play around with everything.
Side note: man my family and friends thought I was a dork before now I've got a VZW Nex and GSM DNA that I'm carrying around all the time! Lol

I guess my friend is nowhere to be found for the MMS app.
Anyways I think it has something to deal with the APN whitelist in the build.prop. Notice they don't allow for the mms APN. Does someone want to play with that as I don't have another carrier's SIM right now.

I am willing to do whatever you need. I have the DNA Unlocked and Rooted on stock ROM. I have a valid AT&T and T-Mobile SIM card. However, I am coming from 5 years of iPhone hacking, so I would need to be handled with kid gloves.
Just let me know what you need done, or point me to a tutorial thread.

[Q] US T-Mobile MMS not working on my Droid DNA

I have setup the T-Mobile APN in multiple possible ways: changed the existing one, created a new one, create 2 (one for data and one for mms). But I cant get MMS to work at all. Data is fine btw. I have Edge and HSPDA around Dallas metroplex.
Anyone got any lucks with T-Mobile MMS on this phone?
I'm in the same boat as you but I don't really use pics message that much but I hope someone figure out how to make it work

I have been trying since it came out. I have been somewhat successful by getting gosms and going to the advance settings and putting in the mmsc manually in their settings, does not work all the time but does sometimes
Got it to work
Ok finally got it to work. I have done some major investigation but It works until a reset then all you have to do is change a simple setting to correct it
To get it to work first you have to put in your sim card. The phone will put in the generic TMO settings for APN. After that you have to go edit the settings. Change them to
Name: T-Mobile US
APN: epc.tmobile.com
Proxy: 216.155.165.050
Port: 8080
Username: (leave this blank)
Password: (leave this blank)
Server: (leave this blank)
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.050
MMS Port: 8080
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
APN Type: (leave this blank)
After that you have to go to the play store and download GOSMS pro (free app). Once it is installed open it up, go through their tutorial. Hit menu then go to settings, once there go to advance, scroll to the bottom and hit mms settings then scroll to the bottom of it put a check in the “fill apn configuration manually” box. Then you will set your MMSC to" http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc " then your proxy to : " 216.155.165.050 " then your port to " 8080 ". Hit the back button and you are good to go. After that you will have MMS working (may get a did not download message but the pic did download. If you reboot you will have to go in and edit your APN to clear out the default apn type, save it and good to go

can you guys post your experience with data speeds for the DNA in tmobile? are you getting 4G or 3G or 2G only and if so, where are you?
thanks
I live in an 4g market but not the 1900mhz market so i only get edge but they are suppose to have it up and running by the end of the month so we will see then
I used this with multiple unbranded or unlocked phones I had. When I had the DNA briefly I used this and it worked for me.
Just pick your carrier and reboot and MMS should work.

Thanks, Crackeyes - these settings worked for me on my DNA (running Newt's M7 ROM, if that makes a difference). I didn't need to use GOSMS on mine. The settings you provided worked fine using the stock messaging app. I'm so happy (since I've tried settings posted in other threads and they didn't work or were missing some of the settings entries you posted).
