I have the TMobile Vibrant and I've just installed GDE but soon realized that the Swype input method isn't available anymore. I really like that thing. Does anyone know how to run Swype in GDE?

I installed Gingeritis VIII and I like it. Very smooth!! One question, I don't see the VM icon? Is there an update or fix? Or am I just missing it?

last time i checked the market one did not work for the thunderbolt (gave error during install experienced myself). reason i have read was since the feature is integrated with the messages on the stock rom.
when i flashed cm7 rom (gingerbread 2.3.4) for my phone, i noticed that the smart search on the dailer was gone. i was wondering if i could get it back?

you would need to get a third-party dialer from the market. its the only way i know of

I'm using the samsung stock keyboard and the swype option was working fine but suddenly it just stop .... and the option is greyed on my keyboard setting ... can anyone help me with that ? I know I can use swype but I liked the samsung keyboard a lot actually ...

Same thing here... using 4.0.4, works fine. Flashed stock 4.1, stock swype stop working.
Same thing here... using 4.1.1 stock. Swype worked a day or 2 but stop working and it's now gray on the menu so I can't even choose it? Any ideas what's causing this?

Issue with Swype and Samsung swipe suddenly not working
This is due to some incompatibility with some application requiring Accessibility Service enabling and the Samsung stock (Swype like) keyboard.
For anyone with issues related to the Samsung stock (Wwype like) keyboard, either disable the application in Accessibility --> Services, or install the latest version of Swype (Beta program). In my opinion the Swype Beta is much better than the Samsung stock version. Please note that with ALL non-stock applications there will be some 'issues/quirks' that you might not like, but then overall, they tend to be better.
For anyone with issues with Swype itself, either do the same with disabling the apps in Accessibility --> Services or just download the latest version of Swype, as Swype seems to have understood the issue and fixed it (unlike Samsung).

removed the app and the Samsung stock (Swype like) keyboard worked again

Can someone please help? I've never flashed a Rom before but downloaded all of the components and am planning to. But I'm wondering if anyone has screenshots of what this Rom's GUI looks like. I'm currently running ICS 4.0.3 and am hoping the rom will make it look more like my fiancee's Droid Bionic now does since her 4.0.4 update, particularly her app drawer screens (I ran across a cyanogen Rom that looked like hers but it was for gingerbread vs. ICS and I don't wanna go backwards). Also, I've read of some GPS issues with the Rom. Also wondering if it provides WiFi hotspot tethering (phone as a hotspot). Anyone have screenshots of this Rom, i.e., lockscreen, app drawer, etc., anyone know of GPS issues or hotspot capability? Also does it feature that weird unicorn in the bootscreen? (Don't want my phone to look corny). Any help would be appreciated. Don't know if this is the thing for me to do or not but would like to have the closest thing to 4.0.4.
