Hi folks,
Is there any way to view PDF's inside the browser without downloading them first? It's pretty annoying to download the same PDF over and over because I have to check it daily (it's updated daily)
Thanks in advance

You can use Dolphin Browser HD which has a plugin to view PDF files..

I just started using dolphin browser and have found it to be far superior to the stock browser. Is it safe to remove the stock browser? Has anyone here done so with no problem?

Thanks for your help. The stock browser is like 9MB! And soooo lacking features and functions.
Thanks for posting that...I've been asking what was safe on a few different apk's....have you tried removing Google voice....or Google talk?

Only downside is that HTC's Flash Lite is only integrated in stock browser. Dolphin has an add-on to download flash video , but it is somewhat limited.
You can do a comparison of some of the flash sites from this page :

Edit :
On 2nd thought I was wrong about this Flash DOES work in Dolphin !
What is the add on for flash for dolphin

I uninstalled Dolphin Browser HD. But there is still a folder called TunnyBrowser in myfiles. That folder is 6.2mb and contains 25folders and 407 files in it. Is it safe to delete that folder?
I have now switched to Opera
Galaxy S on Froyo JP6
It's safe to delete, I got rid of it.

Stock browser is okay and Dolphin HD had its benefits. But after using Opera for about a month it's unlikely I'll ever be using another browser. Opera is just awesome.

Is like opera better to it had a bookmark widget.

I'll try that again...
I'd like opera better if it had a bookmark widget.

Copy the HTML file on tthe phone, open the browser and import them.
If you have dropbox or something you can use that.

I noticed that inside the Ubuntu touch browser your not able to view/watch videos from YouTube or other website.
Is there a way to fix that ?
Or maybe the devellopement is just not there yet?

The Ubuntu Touch web browser will not support Flash videos, but it should support any modern site that provides HTML5 videos.
However, HTML5 video support is still in development, but if you are interested you can track the progress in this bug report: launchpad.net/bugs/1197699 (sorry for the non-clickable link, I'm too new to XDA to be able to post links).
hi,
i just started using chrome few days ago. the main reason is that it can sync everything from my laptop to my tablet and phone. I can live with it although it is not the best browser.
anyway, there is a big problem that has been annoying me since i started using it. as it does not support flash, can i force youtube links to open with youtube app?
thanks
Good question. Thats a prob u get with other browser too. And same thing arrives when u view a twitter account. It opens on the web instead of the app whereas with stock browser it opens with the app.

Quickoffice is good. With all premium goodies for free. It might be handy.
Yes quickpic
or perfect viewer with pdf plugin
Of all the pdf readers I've used I find ezPdfReader the best.
It is because of it's text reflow feature which is very essential due to star's small screen size :silly: and works very smoothly :victory:. It also has night mode feature, supports password protected pdfs, auto scroll etc.
I'm a book lover too and I've finished many books using this app !
thanks to all of you guys. what i am using now is adobe pdf reader and quuckoffice. i'll try ezPdfReader. i have no idea quickpic can view pdf file.
Due to star's small screen size reading e-book is very annoying...quickoffice and ezpdfreader are good....u can also try officesuite...it is very fast
