Did not know any of this existed. You are telling me I can edit this thing and see it on my computer screen? So I DO NOT have to install my theme 200 times to test it to make sure its right?
Im just checking to see if I understand correctly... DroidDraw would let me edit and see my edits? Then just recompile with my changes in apkmanager?

ChaOS for mutiple devices
Although I don't own either variant of the N7, I am heading the project as the lead developer and we are officially supporting this device at this time so I wanted to provide you guys with an official post which you all can use to talk about the ROM on the Nexus 7.
I may not be frequenting this thread as much as others but I can always be reached via PM if there is something urgent you need or you can hit me up at http://forums.chameleonos.org/
Thanks and enjoy!
Thank you very much, I will give this a try

This is awesome on the T989, and awesome on my N7. Thanks a ton 0xD34D.
it appears to be based off MIUI. they're homepage says the entire framework of ChaOS has been modified around the theme engine, which is MIUI's. what does this offer that MIUI doesn't?
downloaded about a week ago, and was having random system ui fc. I'll try to get a logcat, but the pc is being a real pain atm.
I've been using this rom for a few days and it is smooth and fast. Have not noticed any bugs. Really like it. The Angl theme is gorgeous!

It's based of CyanogenMod 10.1 not based off MIUI.
It's 4.2.2 while MIUI is 4.1.2.
Thanks for this rom, it is excellent!

It is a very smooth rom.

Sorry, but this is just a vanilla cm with a few MiUi themes thrown in. And after running full MiUi for a while, doesn't seem to have a lot of themes available. This ROM is going to get better and I will probably revisit after a bit.
Doesn't allow for a lot of customization.

The point of this is to fuse both MIUI and CM together. The point isn't mainly customization but the CM UI coupled with an MIUI theme engine. Over time it will get better as you said but this ROM is of its own kind.

Normally, the purpose of a hybrid ROM is to give you the best features of each of the ROMs used. This ROM does not do that......yet.

Sorry, but this would be a nightmare for developers.

Hmm. Can you elaborate why is it a nightmare?
Live tiles are already a nightmare as MS brings more accent colors to the mix. You need to find colors that would look nice on all 20 (you are left with either white or black). If you make tiles shift colors like that, then they lose a lot of their usability, because info displayed on them will not be readable anymore under all circumstances, and developers can;t do squat about it.
This is why most apps don't use a live tile or if they do, they do not use dynamic backgrounds, which kinda nullify your theme as colors will be hard coded.
If your app has a live tile with a transparent background, meaning you are using the theme colour, you will be using white colour for your live tile info. I think this is pretty standard and every app is doing this. I dont think app developer skip the live tile due to trying to cater to theme colours, but rather they have no meaningful info to show. As long as you are using the standard white colour, you have nothing to worry about readability. The users will ensure the custom theme they use will allow them to read the live tile.
Just an update.
New Skinery update has been released
- Added Viber, Wikipedia, Social Scout, Facebook JDB, Alarms, Basic Calculator, Accounts, Location and Lockscreen apps.
More apps are coming online every week so do not get left out! Contact us to get your app integrated: [email protected]
They can always using a flip tile to chow info even with hard coded stuff.
The fact is, live tiles are a bit of a challenge for developers and many (trust me i am a developer myself) choose to skip this because it is way too tiresome for them. Take for instance CNN: it doesn't have a live tile when it has quite a lot of meaningful info to show.
I love the idea cause in IMO the start screen really sucks as far as looks go. It need a settings menu though for more options like deleting and whatnot. Not that in a Dev or anything. Nice app though.
Amazing app!

Skinery Tiles Pro, the highly popular custom theme app featured by Nokia, has been updated to version 3.04 with brand new features, apps and skins. In this release, you can now create, skin and pin shortcuts to your favourite websites or simply create blank tiles to add some text like a smiley face. Also included is the new and powerful skin editor which lets you choose different colours or images for each of your tiles. Experiment and have fun coming up with unique design for your start screen. Once you are done, tap on the share button to show off your creation to the Windows Phone community!
As with every update, Skinery adds new apps and skins. Can you spot the new apps in the screenshots? If not, check out the store link to find out the new apps!
With your continued support of The Skinery Movement, app developers are starting to integrate their apps with Skinery. High profile apps such as WebApps by Sydience and WPCentral by WPCentral.com have already began their integration and they will available real soon. Please continue to support The Skinery Movement and more apps will come!

Thats the default theme, however, the themes only kinda sorta work-ish. for example, the settings page looks fully themed, but the pull down settings look like they do in cm. Also, the icons in the launcher arent themed, but the icons in the app manager are themed.

Hello
iam Just sharing The Work Of
and I Confirm Its working on our device
from the Original thread
★About Theme Chooser★
One of my favorite things to do on Android is use the T-Mobile Theme Chooser to change the look of my phone. With a
few simple clicks you can alter things like the notification pulldown bar, toast notifications, check boxes, and button
colors.
Because this is something so powerful (and empowering to the user), I want to clear up any misconceptions anyone had
about the Theme Chooser, so join me after the break for a primer on what it is, when you can use it, and why you
should.
Not just for T-Mobile
This might sound kind of ridiculous, but the T-Mobile Theme Chooser doesn't only work on T-Mobile phones. The app
gained it's moniker because T-Mobile actually designed the app. Fortunately, they did it openly and for the community,
not to gain leverage for their own phones.
It gained popularity because it got packaged in a little custom ROM you might have heard of called CyanogenMod . With
open code and wide distribution in a popular ROM, themers got right to work and have created oodles of themes that
work in conjunction with the Theme Chooser.
Root-only access
Speaking of CyanogenMod, well, it's something you need to be rooted to flash. The Theme Chooser is actually no
different and requires that you have root, too.
If that sounds redundant, it probably is. But when you get to talking about theming things on your phone, the first
assumptions might be that we're doing something in ADW or LauncherPro Plus.
However, the parts of your phone that'll be themed using a Theme Chooser theme are far outside the realm of what ADW
or LauncherPro Plus can do. Because we're not limited to simple icons and can actually theme parts of the whole system,
Theme Chooser themes go much deeper and thus, are root-only.
Theme Chooser ≠ ADW Themes
When you use something like an ADW or LauncherPro Plus theme, changing your icons is probably the extent of what
you'll get. You'll probably also get something like an included custom wallpaper, and maybe something for the main
dock (and in the case of ADW, the hidden dock, too).
Themes written for the Theme Chooser can change (or theme) icons, but there's much more to it than that.
The biggest appeal of the Theme Chooser is that it can change things on your phone like system colors throughout the
entire experience. For example, the Tangerine theme I'm using right now makes the colors of everything orange,
especially evident in the notification pulldown bar icons.

Hello, I hope you are doing well
Are you one of those who like to personalize the look of your device and often change themes on your phone depending on the current mood, weather conditions, or even depending on the occasion and clothing combination? Have you ever wondered how all these themes that you can download from the Huawei Themes app are created? In a recent topic from the HMS Official account, two HUAWEI Theme designers - Zint from Malaysia and Zhong Xia from China shared their stories with us and discovered how they turn their dreams and passion into the art of theming. Be sure to check them out by clicking the image below.
But, in addition to art, technology is also of great importance in the process of themes creation, so that Huawei Theme designers can easily and efficiently turn their aesthetics into functional themes. To make the production of themes as simple as possible so that developers can focus on the design, Huawei has developed the smart tool for Windows platform called Theme Studio, which enables efficient creation of themes in a visualized way. Although Themes Studio is intended primarily for Huawei Theme designers, you too can try your hand at creating themes with this intuitive tool if you follow the steps in the short intro below.
When you go to the Theme Studio landing page, you can get acquainted with detailed documentation, including a brief overview, version change history, recommended hardware configuration and installing instructions, as well as a complete guide for using the application. If you decide to get started quickly, you can simply download the latest version of the application (currently 11.0.0.100), start the installation by double-clicking the ThemeStudioSetup file from the downloaded package, and in no time you will be ready to take you first steps in designing themes.
When the application opens, you can start a new project or import and edit one of the historical projects. In the future, all the historical projects will be displayed as thumbnails on the home screen of the aplication, so you can access them more easily. When creating a new theme, you need to enter the name of the project, select the EMUI version and the scope of the project:
Small theme: With the small theme option you can change the skin of the lock screen, home screen and icons range
Large theme: With the large theme option you can change all of the above as well as contacts, messaging, quick settings and phone range
Lock screen theme: The lock screen theme is a theme that only changes the skin of the lock screen
Icon theme: Icon themes are themes that only changes the skin of the icons and the home screen
AOD theme: AOD themes are themes that only change the skin of Always On Display screen
Keep in mind that you can change the scope of the project at any time during the theme development. Optionally, you can also enter developer and designer name, a version number, and a brief description of your theme.
When a new project is opened, a preset theme with all the necessary design items is automatically loaded, so you have a good basis to start designing your own theme. The graphical user interface is very easy to use, it's clean and with logically grouped elements:
MENU BAR
From the Menu bar you can open a new project, import a theme in hwt format or open one of the historical projects, and you can also upgrade existing EMUI 10.1 theme to the EMUI 11 version. In addition, there is an option to set the preview images and take screenshots for each of the designed elements. The menu bar also has options for synchronizing finished themes to the phone that has USB debugging enabled or for exporting finalized themes to the PC storage.
NAVIGATION BAR
In the Navigation bar you can select the module you want to edit: AOD, unlock and home screens, icons, common elements colors, phone, messaging and notifications. Depending on the scope of the theme you have chosen, individual modules may be grayed out. For some of the modules in the Navigation menu, there are several options or screens that you can change to your liking. If you are editing a dynamic unlock screen, you can set specific options in the Menu bar, and individual layers can be edited in the Project area.
EDITING AREA
In the Editing area you can change the position, color, transparency, shape, background, icon... all the editable items of the module you have chosen. The required specifications are listed next to each item, and if you're not happy with the change you've made, you can simply revert each of the changed items to their default.
PREVIEW AREA
It's obvious that you can check any changes you make in real time in the Preview area.
PROJECT AREA
In the Project Area you can change the scope of the project, check which of the modules you can edit, and you can track all the edit steps you have made. You can collapse the project area by clicking on the arrow in the right corner as you wish, so that you have more space for other elements.
