what is wrong with his post? have you guys even considered whether or not he was asking for a stock gingerbread rom instead of a custom gingerbread rom? notice that he said "without CM7 or any other modifications" which sounds like stock to me

I think if he want a stock rom, he wouldn't be asking and he would just flash official lg rom.

As hsingh1993 pointed out earlier, the OP did not use the search button (which is the only mistake he made) so how would he know where to find the official lg rom? not to mention that the official lg roms are all scattered about in several languages
at the OP:
check this out. it is the official gb rom (no modifications and no cm7 tweaks in it). im not sure if it is in the language you want

Hey. Yea I'm new to this community, a " noob" for sure lol. But yea, why did it seem like those first few replies were snapping at this dude. I don't think he disrespected any one nor did he come off as rude or unappreciative. IV been reading these forums for about a week now. Some of you are just a liiiiiittle touchy..

@sweetnsour thanks, that's what I was looking for. I forgot to mention that I tried to download the stock ROM from LG's site, but the europe link did not work.

I'm too sorry then.
Are you looking for .zip or .kdz file?

Go LG offices site and ask for it

If they change the architectural software structure of Ice-cream(2.4 or 3.1?) then no it would not upgrade, But I would bet a dollar the phone will be able to handle at least 2 or 3 more upgrades before software and apps will require a larger ram and duo core cpu
BTW way to the other posting....... froyo, gingerbread etc are the code names they gave each version of android....... 2.2, 2.3 etc
i have this rom gingerbread 2.3 from another forum but im a noob how do i flash

Well either you or he was confused. There's more than a couple Gingerbread themes out there, but thats all they are is themes. There is one EXPERIMENTAL Gingerbread build out, but as such, its not stable and could not be used daily.
Its being worked on, but Samsung has not even released the 2.2 source yet. When that happens, maybe some doors will be opened in that direction.
But as of right now there is NO stable Gingerbread rom, no matter what your friend told you. If there was you would have gotten actual help, instead of some of the less serious responses.

Help with Bell Atrix

Hi Guys,
I just rooted my atrix using this method - http://briefmobile.com/motorola-atrix-4g-root
I see the superuser app now listed in my apps pane. I simply want to install a rom now that will remove all the bell crap and make the phone even more awesome
What is my best option?

Your best option is to wait bud. If you check out the other threads in this section, you'll see that 2nd-init was only recently ported to the Atrix. This will allow devs to create custom ROMs, but this will take time.
Check this thread out, I am also bell user and this is really the best we can get atm.

These aren't true ROMs like CM7 or MIUI, they're just mods of Motoblur designed to give a stock android feel. I'm using Gingerblur and I love it. I highly recommend it, just check out Seven's thread on flashing P-ROMS on international phones. Following the guide you posted will most likely land you with a soft-brick.
OP - 76 posts.... you should know where to post this stuff by now. This has been reported.

And before that you could've first given us more info regarding your problem (like what ROM are you using, etc.) and you could've also realized that the dev forums are not for asking questions or asking for help, you could've also had some more respect regarding the devs that give you ROMs for free and devote their personal time in order for you to have working and stable ROMs for your phone.
After that, could you give us some more info regarding your problem??
Oh k sorry for everything

[ROM][I9100][17/07/2012] 7 comp ROM: one rom to fit all your wishes

Hi,
in next days you will see here a new rom for GS2.
It is based on AOSP, AOKP, CM9 and and other sources + some personnal developpement.
The result is a really usefull and efficient rom that you can use either if you are a developper of an all day base user.
You will find a lot a feature. The rom is fully configurable.
Interested ??
Keep informed
But where is the rom?

Looking for 4n1 Reboot Menu

I've been trying to hunt this down for a while. I need the zip for the 4n1 reboot for ICS 3.11. I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421265 but it just bricked the phone. Is there a flashable zip for this mod? I can't find it!

Lol right. Basically every rom has the menu. Or you could use an app like quick boot from play store, if is still around and works
Thanks for these useless posts.
I am trying to build up a stock rooted ICS rom to the way I like it. The 4n1 menu is the last piece I wanted for it. Can anyone point me into the right direction please?

Man... You're a meanie...
Sorry, I don't know how to add it to your Rom. I don't think you deserve the brash response though. I mean, I'm sure all devs had to learn how to add that in and it is in the appropriate section so I don't know why you are getting that kind of response.

Just out of curiosity, what will you be doing differently to your ROM that makes it the way you like it? Pretty much everything that you could do has already been done and is available to download and flash. If you can't make the 4 in 1 menu work, you are probably better off flashing one that has been done already. Edit the build.prop to say "Shawns Custom ROM" or whatever you want. Good luck in your endeavor to make a rom that has already been made

No, but it is no different really than people taking someone's rom and removing apks before flashing to make it just how they like it. As long as he doesn't publish it as a Rom for everyone to use without giving proper credit to whos work he used I don't see what the big deal is. Just help the guy out or don't say anything.
yeah come on guys dont be so hard on him. I have to say tho Con's reply was pretty funny tho
He was asking about a flash able zip file. One to flash over an existing ROM. Flashing a ROM with it built in would solve the problem he described.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
He just wants to add the power menu, not create a a Rom. I also have been looking for the same thing. At this point I like stock rooted but there is no option with the power menu.
If you check Scott's ROMs, he has a flashable tweaks zip that includes extended restart menu. I think it's based on Leedroid tweaks, and Scott offers it as a start to modding your own ROM.
Sorry I don't have a link right now. Just Google Scott's Tweaks or Leedroid Tweaks. Good luck.
And you shouldn't have to justify asking for modding help in a development "general" forum, but welcome to the xda Rezound community.
