the resolution is the biggest culprit so you are better off finding a qhd keyboard that looks closest to that

What's with all this fuss over a keyboard?
Just use SwiftKey (it has ALL FOUR of dem arrows), and it's WAY better than the OGVO keyboard in the first place.

Yeah I don't get it either.. I use the stock GB keyboard... in case people weren't aware, if you drag up on the keyboard, arrow keys fill in at the bottom. That's better than the HTC kb if you ask me.

Thanks for helping, I tried flashing through recovery and no luck. I had a error code 6. I wiped cache and dalvic before hand also.

How would someone go about signing it? I have never messed with the whole dev side, just picked up some knowledge here and there along the years since my original HTC Touch.
did u try the other arrows one... have u tried both keyboards.. ( the sensation one,, and the "try this"...

Why not just pull the apk from Tmartins zip and replace the current HTC_IME in /system/app... Then report back?

sad when a dev has to test his own kb lol, I would done it but I'm on miui and working on theme concepts for it. I use swiftkey ftw. Thanks for being generally helpful 'round these parts Tmartin, it's nice to see, for real.

You know i noticed this aswell im not really sure though I was a big fan of his work on the OG evo thats what made me look up and see if he was cooking something for the 3VO and found this.

He probably left xda?? I know some developers from the thunderbolt left as well and they open their own website, incredibledoes left too and he put some work for the evo one of the first one to get sense 2.0 working on evo last year, talk to him no too long ago and he said he was gonna develop for the 3d tho so I hope he does, I want to do a pool for myn that way he can develop for the evo 3d as well, js isn't developing or at least the last tweet I saw from him, and calkculin I have no idea, he got his son now so I guess he is putting more time with his family

OMJ has been on PPCG for a while now. He still stops over at XDA from time to time, but he was over at PPCG for most of the time he had the Evo too, if memory serves me correctly.
Now that I have the percent in the battery icon, it is going to feel like the battery drains twice as fast, haha, because I will always be watching it...like an OCD. I think I'm better off without it..

HTC Puccini System Leak
This is a HTC Puccini/Jetstream RUU which contains the system of the HTC Puccini. This cannot be flashed yet, but porting is in progress by me and some others in this thread. If you would like to help, post here or PM me.
Details:
This is a /system leak. In /system on an Android device, the core files and the OS is stored. Data is stored in /data, etc. Basically, when porting, you port /system. It is not as easy as it looks, and will take some time. Like I said earlier, if you would like to help port post here or PM me.
Update: The HTC Jetstream has officially been announced. It is $700... on contract. Fail. You can get yourself top of the line laptops with that money. So our goal is to take this and put it on our Flyers. I will post a schedule below so you know when I am working or not.

It does. I got it ported and to flash successfully last night but obviously didn't boot properly.
Yeah flashing a zip isn't the difficult part, it's the booting part
I capture the logcat on it all so I hope to go through it tonight. It would be easy if HTC would just release HC on it already.

To remove the bloatware isn't difficult.
But to port it is damn hard, because the puccini has another chipset than the flyer...
So far every time I download and open it it says its a corrupt zip.
I follow the flyer/express threads to check out whata foing on and see if there is anythong useful for my evo 4g express port. I can post a mirror of the puccini if ya'll want. Filefactory isnt the most stable to download from. I also have the system files deodexed, android kitchen 1.7 on my windows machine wont deodex it. Let me know. I wilk start it just in case

That is true, but it is close enough to not be a big deal. All apps will resized themselves except the HTC sense apps like messaging and dialer and mail...

Doedexing etc. is not important at the moment at all. We have to get it booting first. Otherwise you can't use a deodexed rom.

Here's my attempt of porting Sense 3.5 from Pico. I used Pico Hero rom from HeroGSM as a reference for porting... This is a basic port, as I really don't have time due to numerous exams and a uncooperative slide (the trackpad now refuses to work at all :|).
Without further ado, here's a list of what (doesn't) work:

Really? Selfish? I just didn't want to release a non-daily driver... that was slightly... disappointing.
Anyways. Tell me how this goes, and if anyone has suggestions on how to improve this rom, PM/post on this thread. This rom needs ALOT of work.

found out why it didnt boot... my cache space was filling up way to fast... so i lowered my system space to 175 and increased cache to 120

Try it out. I overclocked daniels release and it ran pretty smooth. Apart from the major bug of no audio during calls I would have kept it as my daily.

It's Gummy for the 4G LTE, built from kushdeck's device and vendor tree and the latest TeamGummy sources. I can not guarantee anything, as I do NOT have an EVO 4G LTE and I will not get one until I get my allowance of approximately $250USD by the end of June.

Quick download and install. Too bad I can't see or read anything. Everything is distorted. It like trying to watch a ppv as a kid with the scrambler on to catch a glimpse. All I see is horizontal scrambler running across my screen. Try tapping the screen and got some confirmation but it doesn't look like it working yet. Good luck on the build. Looking forward to your ROM coming from an OG Evo.

Battery life is smokin!!!!
Its literally amazing. 4+ hrs screen on time, I've even gotten 5+hrs (but that day I plugged into PC twice for just a couple minutes to transfer files). But you get a full day easy. In fact, I'm kind of afraid to even mess with anything and break it.
Glad to see you coming, bro. You'll be a huge asset to the community, just as you are now to the Evo 4g community. Late bloomer lol, but when you turned it on, you turned it on to "Max" 10+

Here's the logcat basically from the time the I could see the boot animation through to the when the phone is loaded. I tried tapping the screen a bunch of times and just got a blue highlight selection and then that was it. Hope this helps

Finally got around to flashing the 2x and it's perfect! I was a little put off thinking it was going to be oversized but it's just right on this phone. Going to try it out on my Tbolt when I get home (also CM9) and i'll post results =)

good question. i haven't tried it but if you pull the apk out and try to side load it i might work. if it doesnt i can resign the apk for data/app install for ya

should work on any phone that is xdpi and uses LatinIME.apk

I was looking to try the x2 size keyboard. And it is alright I know real life cones before this

once apktool updates to 4.2 i will be able to correctly modify the new one.
Synister, I think you fixed what was in my opinion one of the only functional inconveniences in AOSP on the rezound, especially for those of us who could care less about Bluetooth.
Thank you for taking the time to do it and sharing it with the community, the AOSP roms have a better end user experience because of it.
