[Q] Please Help! problem in htcdev bootloader unlock - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

I'm using wifi-only flyer from bestbuy and I'm trying to unlock bootloader from htcdev.com because I'm at step 14 in Paul's installing honeycomb guide.
But when I'm in step 13(htcdev), I can't select "YES".
I pushed power button but there's no response, though when I pushed power button at "NO" my flyer is rebooted immediately.
Why I can't select "YES"? I repeat all step three time, but I can't do it...
Please HELP ME I don't know why...

yep, same here....

Why are you following that guide, it is dated with better alternatives in development section

Why don't you just read how to S-OFF the device instead of unlocking it?

when I tried to unlock bootloader in htc dev, I was following paul's guide.
anyway, I already solved this problem and follwed globatron's guide to do s-off. Now I'm happy in LeeDroid HC 4.0.0...

[Q] Remove Root and S-OFF

Hi everybody!
I have a problem: a sort of hole appeared in my Flyer's screen
I MUST give it to assistance, but it is rooted...
I searched on how remove it and have a sort of rollback of my Flyer, and I downloaded the RUU from the link posted somewhere in this forum...
The problem is that when it starts with the procedure and send my Flyer in Bootloader, the program in the RUU says that the device is not connected
The error code is the 151: I tried to restart application, restart computer, restart Flyer, plug in and plug out the cable...NOTHING!
I give up!
What about you? Any idea?
Thanks
Are you in hboot or fastboot when you get this message. It won't see your device in hboot. Running the ruu will not get rid of s off though. Follow steps here if still on gingerbread. If honeycomb the steps are a little different

I did it!
I followed the edit in the post of Namit1994 and I managed to do it...
Only one question: if I don't have anymore the Superuser App, it means that it is s-on now?
No
Boot into hboot
Turn off device and hold volume down and power. When white screen homes up if at the top it says revolutionary s off than you need to follow the link I posted

neo23484 if by a sort of hole you mean an area where the layers have stuck together, that is DIY repairable without opening the device.
Perfect!
I did it!
Thank you so much!

[Q] Help with relocked flyer - security warning when trying to downgrade to GB

Hi,
I'm not very savvy with these things but carefully worked through Paul's original upgrade to HC successfully. I now want to downgrade to GB to install globatron's HC, but despite reading everything multiple times and thinking I was clear, something has gone wrong. I had just reached the first stage ready to flash the RUU and I have got a relocked - security warning message. I'd charged my flyer fully before starting this, but now the flyer won't turn off or charge, and it's nearly out of battery. I've searched the forums and tried everything I could find but it's still like this, and now it's started turning itself on and off to the bootloader again and again.
One post said I need the unlock.bin but I don't know what that is or where to find it. If anyone has any ideas I'd really, really appreciate the help.
since posting I've found the unlock.bin and can activate it through adb, but I'm not getting enough time before the flyer powers off again to follow it through - get the padlock screen, can't get further.
So all you did was re lock? If so hold volume down and power till in hboot. Then sellect fastboot then power off and charge your device for a while.
The unlock.bin is what you used originally to unlock bootloader from HTC dev.
Once you are good and charged you can run the ruu to return to gingerbread.

Thank you. Because I've now slightly lost my nerve...to recap, I have downloaded the GB RUU - can I just run this from my desktop, then use revolutionary to get s-off, then follow guide to upgrade to honeycomb as per globatron's instructions?
Yes, get into fastboot and run ruu. If you run into an error that says main version is older you may have a couple additional steps.
What version flyer are you?

Stuck in bootloop on Flyer - globatron help

Since I can't post in threads in the development forum yet I thought this may be the best place to try to get help. So here goes.
I downgraded my Flyer to GB via globatrons No HTC Unlock method successfully. I then ran revolutionary successfully to get S-Off and ignored the CWM install like noted in the S-Off HC thread. I then ran through the S-Off HC upgrade with the custom rom with the intent of flashing gumby63's Desensified rom. I flashed the custom RUU and it failed with the error 90 the first time and then the second time it worked like noted. when I rebooted it got stuck in a bootloop. I can access recovery and I currently have it turned off.
What would be the next step?
I have the desensified rom on the sd card already.
If it is of any importance the hboot is: 6.11.1111
Best Buy wifi flyer
Thank you
Flash the rom

Have you unlocked your bootloader ?
And may be S-OFF = switch off (just guessing )
Just follow instruction and require tool from htc dev bootloader,
I do that and my desire vc is unlocked and have root
S-off is security flags off, this is done via an exploit to the radio or flashing a patched hboot. If this has been done to your phone before the howto will be in a thread in your phones section. If there isn't a guide then you have to go to htcdev and just unlock your bootloader which isn't nearly as nice as s-off but at least will get you root access

[Q] How do I unlock my htc glacier with hboot 0.89.0006

Pls I've been unable unlock the bootloader of my htc glacier
I've tried htcdev but the ruu update is telling to get a utility software for my device.
I've also tried htc bootloader unlocker (one click unlock) but its not finding my device

Pls I'll be so glad if I can find some help.
You're already S-Off, why are you trying to unlock via htcdev.com?? To unlock via htcdev.com (which is not a complete unlock, unlike S-Off) then you have to be on the newest bootloader version. HBOOT-0.89.0007. I thought there was actually a link to the little RUU update that is just for the bootloader on the bottom of the walkthrough @ htcdev? It's been awhile since I played with one, but I'm sure it was there. If not, I can upload it. I am sure it's hanging around somewhere. But yea, unless you relocked it and stayed S-Off, all the htcdev stuff would not be needed.
Exactly as stated above
If there is an engineering bootloader for your phone you should get that as well, if I'm not mistaken the proper way of rooting your device is to exploit it with gfree, similar to the vision a phone I used for a long time, all info should be in the xda wiki to see if greed was used to exploit and how to flash the eng hboot

So pls how do I update to the latest hboot 0.89.0007
So pls how do I update to the latest hboot 0.89.0007 or how else can I unlock the bootloader and root?
What do you mean? It's the very beginning of the steps on how to unlock @ htcdev.com (and the RUU is there, just like I mentioned earlier). Are you certain that you need to do this? It seems like you have not done much research and might be getting yourself into more work than is needed.
so pls can I flash custom rom just with my s-off
Yes, you just need a custom recovery such as twrp, cwm, 4ext
But what you should do is go to the xda wiki or cyanogen wiki and follow the steps for rooting, these guides will give you true radio s-off, an engineering bootloader and a custom recovery so you can easily flash ROMs and easily fix your phone if issues come about
To answer you directly, yes you should be able to flash custom ROMs as is, but having to ask that questions makes me think you should read more about your device or the next thread you make will probably ask for help fixing a brick

If you need help still, let me know. I just did 2 of my glaciers
