Hi
I am contacting you as the last hope to have something worked on for my streak regarding the extended battery not getting detected. I have tried all the calibration apps but still no luck.
i have recently purchased this battery and there are issue i am facing regarding the battery mostly regarding the reporting. its the android 2.2 operating system that is the issue, with the 1.6 android it is working perfectly fine as i have tried it on my friend's streak which is running android 1.6 and on his phone properly detects the battery and reports the battery properly and it is dead when it is reaching 0 % unlike mine which works for 18 to 20 hrs when the stock battery meter shows 1% . The Mugen app doesnt help regarding the calibration as i have used the app and have completed 5 charge cycles of 10 - 12 hrs without break. it is mentioned not to let the battery drain to 0% but since i dont have the readin of the battery i cant say whether it is low or not as the system meter shows 1%
The issue that i am as follows.
1. the system battery meter doesnt show the correct reading.. it shows the battery to be fully charged when the
battery is fully charged tht is at 4211 mv and after i take the charger out and use the battery it shows properly how a normal battery shud decrease and then goes and gets stuck at 1% and in tht 1% the phone will work for 18 to 20 hours..so it wierd as u never know as to when the battery would die and this is wht happenned once the phone suddenly died after being on 1% for 17 hrs
2. no other app works properly cause of this. i have tried using battery left and battery monitor app ( which calculates via voltage ) however what happens is that the app shows a correct reading until the stock meter goes to 1% but once the stock meter reaches 1% the app gets stuck at the reading it showed when the stock meter reached 1%. And if i turn of the phone and take the battery out and put it back in the stock meter shows 50% battery left and the app starts working again and once again when the stock meter reaches 1% the app fails and then again if i take the battery out and put it back in again i get 50% battery on the meter. i have checked on forums and it has been concluded tht this happens when the battery made is not a single battery of 4800 mah but 2 or 3 batteries combined together to appear as 4800 mah.. is that the case with this battery.
3. the third issue is of charging back again... after the stock meter stays stuck at 1% and the phone works for 17 to 18 hrs if i put it back on charging the stock meter still stays stuck at 1% and doesnt move forward at all even though the battery is getting charged...again if i take the battery out and put it back in the battery will show the amount it has been charged.
Any help would be appreciated.

i got a new non official battery for my atrix its 1800mah...
it charges to 100% but drops to 5% in a matter of hours of light browsing and a few games...the thing is it stays @ 5% for a long time, my battery was on 15 hours and it was @ 5% for about 12 hours
ive tried to calibrate it, but im not sure if it does it right, i downloaded a battery widget that says i have not calibrated it yet...this is not my first android as ive had plenty but this is the first phone that the battery has acted like this
also i actually have got 2 of those batterys but 1 doesnt catch charge i put it on the phone and the charge screens show 5% and charging but then stops charging after a few minutes and doesnt have enough juice to turn the phone on
Try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198333
Instead of the calibration app suggested in the link I just used CWM to clear battery stats, and *#*#4636#*#* to check if the battery is at full capacity.
im not rooted currently, so ill try the steps except for the jug6ernaut
thanks
Just so you know, the jug6ernaut files are actually what fixes a known battery jump issue with GB. So even if you successfully recalibrate your battery it will most likely still jump around whenever you reboot your phone. For example, you may reboot at 90%, and when it restarts all of a sudden it's showing 100%.
6 months with sk17i...
6 months with pain in (_!_) about battery indicator...
let me describe situation for those who have no such problem:
battery indicator lives with its own life after 30%... mainly in good days it drops from 20% to 1% but in general picture is not so smooth... I have some days when 45% becomes 1% and so on...
Trying to figure out source of the problem I've started to wipe battery status (any calibration software with root or CWM recovery option), but no luck... (yes, I should mentioned that I've also produce full reset of battery status with 100% charge in offline, then removing for 5-10 mins and charge rest of %) and that is definitly - not working... After full discharge without reboot or power off it is not 100% possibility that next discharge goes smooth from 100% to 1% it could breaks again on 15% or 20% or even on 40%.
I was thinking that problem in battery itself and also change it with new one but picture still the same.
According voltage values regular battery with ~1200 for "mini pro" should show from 4.1 to 3.5 values and it does! but battery indicator shows something else...
So question to community: do we have epic persone who can solve that problem?
P.S. as you can see bootloader is unlocked so no worranty availiable... only hope for community.
Batterystats file does not include battery information, it's about the battery usage info and that file is created again every time, that you fully charge battery.
My friend had this strange situation like your's, He had neo.
He visited service center & solved the problem.
I recommed you take it to the service center.

During discharging from a calibration, its normal for the phone to last a very long time at 1%. This is especially true if you were not at 100% at the time of flashing the rom you're running.
I take it you charged to 100 and then wiped the battery stats. If you havnt restarted your phone or plugged it in since then, let it sit at 1% for as long as it has to and until it dies. Charge it to full without removing it from the ac adapter. Now get it down to one percent again. You'll find it sticks at 1% for a shorter amount of time before shutting off. Two or three charges and discharges later you should see that when it displays 1% its much more accurately at 1% and will power down quickly.
Also, take into consideration that lithium ion batteries suffer greately when it literally has no more juice to give. Because of this, android will actually display that it has 1% battery left when in reality it has closer to 6%. This is a safety measure so to not damage the battery.

This still aint working :crying:
This is the exact issue
I checked my phone battery from the sys folder and its showing only 500 charge full design and i think i am i having a battery indicator problem bcoz of this as my phone drops the charge from 100 to 1 % in only 1 to 2 hours of use and stays on 1% for many hours. So is there any way to change it with actual photon battery capacity.
I am facing this problem from the first day with original photon battery that came with the phone i also tried various calibration methods, roms and kernels but nothing worked.
/sys/devices/platform/cpap_battery/power_supply/battery
My phone uevent is showing this
Powersupply-capacity=5
Powersupply-voltage-now=3836000
Powersupply-temp=260
Powersupply-charge-full-design=500 -> Now this should ideally read 1650 or 1700
Powersupply-charge-counter=1
Can one of the developers help me please? otherwise there is no issues with the battery life as such, I am getting nearly 24 hours with moderate usage
Any help anyone?

If youre on sprint just go to a sprint store and tell them your battery wont hold a charge, theyll give you a free one.
My sgs2 GT-I9100 got a new battery because the original one got swollowen , but now it also has problems occurred Recently,
Phone flickers and goes completely off at 40%-50% ,
Wont turn on again unless i plug it in but then it shows 0%,
Happens all the time,
So I restarted the phone at 50% to see SUPRISE then it shows less than 5% battery !
But after 50% its sure phone will go off any sec.
Is there a fix other than going to another new battery again? Tried the Battery Calibration app By a XDA member too...
UPDATE: Got anew battery ( 2nd battery purchase within a month) but it seems to be the problem continues..
Used the battery with the charge it came with... 60% browsed the web...... reached 35%...... Turned off again
Thinking that it happens because of a miscalibration so used the above mentioned app and calibrated at 100% drained till 40% ( light gaming) Went off again....:crying:
Please Help this is urgent!!!!!:fingers-crossed:
UPDATE 1
Did a Reset of the device and charged it fully with the brand new battery (left for couple of hrs after 100%) and I eventually drained it to 50% and did a restart I was left with 10% after.... didn't fixed
I'll try my best to help. Had this problem with an old laptop battery. I just looked a bit around and found that there are several apps that show you the real mAh. SInce I haven't tested of them I won't recommend any.
Are your contacs all clean? Can you measure the output of the battery with a voltage meter?
EDIT: Found this a few posts lower " just reset the fuel gauge chip (rooted) and you are good to go!"
Update flashed a stock jellybean rom lets see what happens
Hello,
The battery on my Z2, after almost 4 years, wasn't able to hold on, so I have to replace it. I bought a new one and successfully replaced it. Now the battery life is great again, but unfortunately I run into a annoying problem. I fully charge the phone, and after I unplug, no matter if I use it or not, in matter of 2-3 hours the battery goes down to 1% and it stays at 1% the whole day with normal usage. So battery life is how it should be, but the percentage that it shows is not correct. I tried "calibrating" the battery (fully discharging and charging) but that didn't work so I tried repairing with Sony PC companion. That says that is reinstalling the system, so now the phone is like new, like factory reset, but still the problem is here. Now it goes maybe from 100% to 70% in 3 hours and then stays at 70% for 4-5 hours and again starts rapidly decreasing till it reaches 1% and stays at 1% for a while till eventually it shuts down. Any suggestions how I might solve this problem? Thanks in advance!
