Need help to recover phone (SPB Lite failing to re-enumerate) - Motorola Photon 4G

Hey guys, I just got a Motorola Photon that I was trying to install the Photon Laser P.ROM
I think I messed up trying to install the SBF file with RSD Lite. (Was following these intructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202666 but I forgot to restart the phone into RSD mode the first time I did it).
I proceeded to install the CWM Boostrap loader and boot into recovery and try to install the Photon Laster P.ROM. The ROM had appeared to install fine, but when waiting for it to boot for the first time it got stuck in a boot loop where it hung at the Motorola Logo (After the Dual Processor screen).
I went back and re-read instructions and realized I didn't boot into the RSD mode when installing that part, but when I went to try it again I get a "USB device not recognized error" when RSD Lite tries to re-enumerate. The screen on my Photon also gets glitchy... it's a black screen with a bunch of still noise (kinda like a bunch of polluted snow).
Can anyone point me in the direction of how to fix it?
I've tried pulling the battery and trying again. I've booted into Android recovery and whiped Data and tried again, but I'm still stuck.
When I boot the device into RSD mode and I try to run RSDLite with the SBF file from this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202666) it creates the image then just keeps giving me that glitched screen look. I've tried other USB ports, other cords, other laptops.
edit: I can't seem to boot into CWM either, if I have my phone plugged into the wall and turn it on it either stalls at the Dual Core screen, or the screen after that with the pulsing logo.

Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1250697 and watch the video about un-bricking your device. you just have to flash the stock sbf file.

Video points to this thread -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202666 I had already tried this sbf file yesterday. When I try to flash to it, the phone reboots after creating the image and just goes to a glitched looking screen. RSDLite then failed to re-enumerate.
The video suggests trying different cables or usb ports. I did both of those and even tried a different computer.
edit: Also, the XDA thread linked above has a broken link to its sbf file.

Getting the same issue. Tehxno where u able to fix?
edit: error fixed by downgrading to 154 and then updating from there.

I'm having the same issue although my phone has now been hard reset (with some unfortunate signs of root/rom) and is trying to go thru intitial setup (touch the android) AND IT WILL NOT GO PAST THAT POINT. Just keeps force closing every app in the book.....an fix? other than rsd and sbf

go to recovery and wipe. reboot.

Best advice for that issue

[Q] Hard Bricked?

I just tried unlocking the BL from my official AT&T gingerbread using this guide, I tried flashing the sbf file with RSD and it got stuck and now my phone stays at this with the difference that mine gives me the option to try fastboot, RSD mode, Android Recover and another pletora of options I'm not sure i want to name.
So being able to try RSD again, i tried flashing this and it was appearently working but when it tried to set the device on BP Pass through mode, the device would go back to the Infamous screen and it wouldn't move from there.
Am I screwed? Do i have option?
I'm going to try to flash the stock FW to see what happens

use the automatic unlock tool found here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182871&highlight=automatic
do option 1 then option 3 (only use option 3 if on gingerbread) and you're good to go
Fastboot then use fastboot oem unlock command on PC. Reboot and it should work.

I forgot to mention that my phone seems to be low on battery. Does it charge if it's not on the OS?
Noob Killed his phone
Hello, First time Poster here, please bare with me...
I really shouldn't of touched this.....
I have an Atrix w/ the newest updates to it, and attempted to unlock the phone. Everything started well, then it failed while writing to the device. Now, when I attempt to boot, I get the similar message of
SVF:405;1:2
Failed to boot 0x1000
With a 14 available options. I can get into fastboot, though I honestly am not sure what to do from there. I have the fastboot s/w downloaded, along with the gingerbread OS.
Did I just kill my phone?
I haven't still fixed mine because of the battery, I still have to find an external charger. Though, you can try the link from above.
Ok, I did the steps and now my phone is at a screen with the motorola logo with the dual core name on it and it has the word Unlocked on top of it.
What should i do?
the boot screen with motorola logo and unlock in corner will take awhile to load usually like 10 minutes but if it doesnt load for example i let mine sit for an hour and never loaded i just took the batter o and restart it and it rebooted and worked but use that as a last resort give it some time!
Omg i just fixed it!! Thx for the help!!

Failed to boot 4 starting RSD lite

I have a photon with ALIEN ROM+rooted Using AIO method with CWM installed.
I tried to update my photon running using RSD lite with "1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_7-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US.sbf".
.After completing 75% it failed with the message "failed flashing process.Phone".
After wards I tried "1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_5-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US.sbf". Still the flashing process fails at nearly 75 %.
I am using RSDLite 5.5 version on windows XP.
What should be done next???How can I check the SBF I downloaded is not corrupt?
Is there any method I can recover my device from this soft brick state???
thanks in advance
I was able to flash 154 successfully
I had a problem last night it would stop at creating image... I later reallized its because I had no space left on my C:. Image file is pretty big when uncompressed.
were you able to flash stock 154???
The failed to boot RSD 2 is generally cause you messed up some place along the line, I've done it a couple times. And I was able to flash the 198 update afterwords and the 154 as well with no issues.
Try going to Yay's thread and download the 198_7 build and flash that. It worked on my phone, so the files shouldn't be corrupt.
I had this happen a couple times..
1) Make sure your phone is charged all the way up
2) Plug your phone into the back of the computer
3) If you used titanium backup to delete something and can't get it back, I'd factory reset/wipe and let the phone update itself,
4) or when you get to stock, flash the latest SBF through RSD again and it SHOULD work
Thank you All. The problem was USB port of my laptop.Changed to another port and it went smoothly
Good deal. Glad that helpes out.

well i was wondering if you guys can help me out... my phone reboot all of a sudden and now says "fail to boot 4 starting rsd mode battery to low to flash"... but i have it connect on power socket ... when i connect to usb only white led shows up... if any body can help me thanks!!!
Try plugging it in to the wall socket and leaving it to charge. I had my phone in moto logo loop and it powers on when you plug it in, but after a few hours it was able to flash, even though there is no sign it is charging

Photon Bricked, RSD Lite Fails, PLEASE HELP!!

Hello, I have a customer's Photon that is bricked beyond the grave. The story is this guy was trying to complete a software update and since then his phone bricked itself. I asked him if the phone was rooted and if he was flashing roms ect (I don't care obviously) and he repeatidly said no. So here is the deal, I would really appreciate any help.
Currently the phone can boot into fastboot mode with vol up+power.
If I hold JUST power I get
SVF: 108: 1: 2
Failed to boot 3
Starting RSD mode (never gets to starting RSD Protocol)
Now I can at least get RSD Lite to recognize the phone and begin the flashing with the SBF file ( I have tried them all btw) and the creating image process will get to 100% and then will fail at the re-enumeration process. This is with all SBF files from 154 to the latest 198_7.
I have tried multiple versions of RSD Lite, Reinstalled 64bit drivers and rebooted my PC, and have tried different USB ports. With everything I do the farthest I can go is to the re-enumeration process and RSD Lite Fails every time. I cannot even get into Stock recovery to perform a factory wipe either. The only key combos that work for me are Power only, or vol up + power. When I get into fastboot mode there is no option for anything like getting to recovery. And pressing power only gets me into a semi-working RSD mode.
I am completely stumped, I have successfully used RSD Lite in the past with no problems on multiple Motorola phones but cannot get this Photon to flash any SBF File. Please help!
This is what happens when you flash an Electrify ROM onto a Photon. There is no current solution, because you need a 2.3.5 ROM to fix it...and the only one is of course the US Cellular ROM.
Hi.please help me about idea: I Can flash file SBF (photon original) with model Electrify? I flashed but " Fail" That's why?

So i followed those steps.. but now i'm getting "failed to boot 4 starting rsd mode" error and can no longer access the fastboot menu via power +volume down. am i screwed?
Maybe I got lucky, but I used the Electrify SBF, received the same error, and the phone still worked. The initial boot up when you flash the Electrify SBF is looooong, but will boot properly. Give it some time.
I just did this last night.

Yeah I figured it out. It took 6.5 hours since prior to this problem I had zero android knowledge as far as custom roms, flashing, rooting etc. I got my first android three weeks ago and when this happened I had to learn all this **** in about 5 hours. It was a stressful day.
my thread was later updated on Jul 29 with pointer to the following thread by peetr_

read this thread well and follow the steps
no need to worry.

[Q] Stuck on M boot screen, sbf errors

I just recently joined the rooting community a few days ago. I started by rooting my phone with petes rooting tool, and then sbf'd the phone back to android 2.3.4 before installing boot strap recovery on the phone. I was able to successfully flash the cyanogen 10 mod, with many exceptions. The first of these exceptions is that the phones keyboard did not work at all (unable to active phone, unable to do anything really), so I decided to look this up. I tried almost everything except installing a new gapps which I was in the process of doing when I hit a major roadblock. The problem I ran into was that when I re-installed the bootstrap recovery on the cyanogen 10 rom to get to the recovery mode in order to flash the gapps file, the phone became stuck on the M (dual core) boot screen. I was however able to access the boot menu (power+volume down), and tried to sbf the phone back to android 2.3.4 so that it would hopefully fix all of my stupidity. Little did I know that this would just increase my unluckiness with the rooting process, and the phone now will not boot into the boot screen. When I hold down (volume down+power) the phone simply flahes a screen and then will do nothing until I pop the battery out. After that, i tried simply turing the hone on by holding down just the power button, and it boot to a screen which displays "failed to boot 2" and then below that "starting RSD mode". From this screen I have tried to sbf to android 2.3.4, and also to android 2.3.5 multiple times, and every time it pops up with either an error on the computer, or "sec_exception: febe, 4e, 4e" and then an error on the computer. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!! I AM OUT OF OPTIONS AT THIS POINT, AND AM STARTING TO PANIC! HELP ME!
Failed to boot, sounds like hardware failure
but you can try ezSBF, link in my list, might work.

im not completely sure why you sbf'd after rooting the first time? no need for that. i would read up a bit more if you do get it working, watch tomsgt123 's videos on youtube so you know what youre doing. and you used the Gapps for cm10.1 not our version. that is why keyboard didnt work. read read read.
after reading abain, i guess you were on 2.3.5. and thats why you sbf'd. but rooting was not needed before sbf. hope you have better luck next time .
flash will fail if battery is too low, should be a low battery error though, but maybe not every time.
if it is low battery, you will need a charged battery or a tbh programing adapter
link to TBH adapter and dx2 external charger in my list

Do you have any advice on where I should go from here then? My phone is basically a useless hunk of technology until i can get it to boot back into cyanogen 10, or sbf it back to an android operating system. The RSD mode always fails when I try to normally sfd, but i have not tried EZ sbf yet..... any other suggestions?

I can get into RSD mode, and the phone seems to SBF okay, until the SBF on the computer displays "failed", and the phone displays an error message. I am also using a fully charged battery during the whole process (my friend has the same phone so i swap batteries out with him to charge).

[Q] Help bricked my Droid X2

Ok so here is my sob story. I was trying to flash my Droid X2 down to 2.3.4 so that I could root it and install eclipse. However during the flashing process the battery died! I charged the battery (with an external charger) and tried to reboot the phone but it is stuck on the Motorola screen. I can pull up a menu by holding the up volume button. I have gotten it into the Android recovery mode and cleared the cache and tried to do a factory reset, but that didn't work.
Next I tried to re-flash, but every time I try it fails at the BP pass through. I have even tried it on different computers with the same results (BP pass through)! I have the most recent RSD Lite and the newest Motorola drivers. I have found that I can select the No BP on that first menu and it will boot the phone. Is there anyway to fix the phone so it will boot normally? Or do I now own an expensive paperweight...
eclipse 2.3 needs to be installed on 2.3.5, all other roms require 2.3.4
failure at bp pass through is almost always a drivers issue
either try ezSBF 2.3.4, then use 2.3.5 update.zip
or try my driver issues link on my page

I am experiencing a similar problem with my DX2 as well where it will only boot with "No BP". I've tried installing different versions of stock sbfs through RSD lite on Windows 7 and Windows XP all giving me the BP pass through FAIL. I tried different RSD lite versions and even different motorola drivers. I then tried the ezSBF method which gives me no errors, but I still get the same "Modem did not power up (3)" error on startup. I tried rooting it even though I had problems and it worked. I figured that I'd try to install a rom to see if that would fix my problem, but I can't get into "System Recovery" when I reboot. Oddly enough I also can't get out of Airplane mode even when I have it turned off. The wifi works, the radio doesn't which is normal in airplane mode. Any suggestions? Thanks.
did you verify md5 for sbfs?
using rsd lite 5.7 or newer?
did you check device manager, for errors, right after you get a bp pass through failure?
if yes for all of those, likely a hardware failure, and nothing can be done.

I just verified md5 with the 2.3.4 sbf which matched, Froyo didn't match, and 2.3.5 matched. Version 2.3.5 GB is currently on the DX2 because I used "DX2Batchroot_2013.v2.exe".
I tried using rsd lite 5.7 and then 6.1.6.
I get a "QHSUSB_DLOAD" error at 99% completion, then my DX2 flickers and I eventually get a FAIL from "no bp pass through".
Airplane is stuck trying to turn off and rebooting doesn't turn it off; only wiping data/cache turn it off. The cell signal is "x'd out" displaying no bars.
