hi all, i have two question...
1. samsung galaxy ace can overclock up to 1G? If possible is it stable??
2.whether the galaxy ace can fully support adobe flash player?
1- at the moment, no.
2- fully, no. just partially if using cm7.
Just curious. What does it take to make Overclocking possible?

The complexity of making a kernel maked the word "soon" seem improbable .
Infused with CM7 Beta 3 by BehradGH in my Galaxy Ace using XDA App
Let's then change it in "soon or later"! ;-)

to builld a workink oc kernel or a kernel to support other stuff like voodo sound etc is a extrem hard work which needs a good dev and a lot of time and good luck^^
1 fail and the device is bricked( not softbricked) you can destroy the hardware (cpu or gpu and more)
sorry im german and dont use english in my job^^ i built kernels for my galaxy3 but im to stupid to made a kernel for ace (2 destroyed aces this time because of testing voodo cpu and gpu oc kernel state of the work deletet)
Woah.. I didn't think this was SO hard..

That costly experience, imho I agree with you not to oc this time. Focus on functionality and stability issue come first priority since cm on ace still beta stage.

It's not an overclock . It's a default clock .

Hi guys. This is my first time posting to xda developers
I have a galaxy ace. I updated it to 2.3.5 android version. At the beginning it was fine but the next day i realized that it was lagging a lot. I downloaded many different versions but they all lag. My stock version when i bought it was fine. No lags. But i dont remember what version it was.
Please can you help me find a good version for my galaxy with no lags?
I had no problems with mine. Maybe you downloaded an app that makes your phone laggy or something like that. Can't help you

Root, install cmw 4.0 and flash CM7
No lags forever and ever.
KPH or KPN, both are fast, but 2.3.5 KS9 seems to be faster. I dont't know why your phone lagging.

hey guys does it matter when did you buy your galaxy ace to install the correct version? Or it doesnt matter.
In other words does it matter if your galaxy ace is old or new?
nopes, not for installing roms...
but if you wanna find out what you had originally, it might be helpful. if its pretty old you may be talking about a version of froyo - android 2.2 that you found snappier.

Try flash with your latest region baseband.. Then flash stable rom and observe, test all apps you always used specially in your daily usage apps. If you got laggy again then try cm7. some devs of cm7 says it was not for daily rom.. But for me i used it as my daily even in my business. Also newbie guide by emoboiix3 is very helpful.

It usually lags when i press the menu button or unlocking or sliding the menu page but for some seconds. after 5 seconds it gets smoother.
this lag is on all 2.3.* and custom roms who based on 2.3...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1303475
try sangingerace! fast n stable.. stock rom i will recommend kph ^^
You can try GingerReal 1.4, looks like stock but it is faster.

Do you have some widget on home screen like Fancy Widget or any other widget that includes big clock?
I had the same problem od every ROM based on Gingerbread but problem dissapeared after I removed Fancy Widget.
So i've been absent, kind of... and havent been able to keep up with the new RAM-scripts that been released!
So which one is your favourite and what rom are you using?
Ice-cream sunday 2 with Gadget check's turbo boost v8.5 and SlaidFastMod v1.. Significant improvement in performance.. Try it and see for urself..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400526 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1380006 I can use it all on the same moment . Works perfectly on my CM 7.2 RC0.

When I used the V6 it was indeed fast but since it wasnt optimized for ace i found other scripts that were for ace better. I should try these new suggested ones from you guys, Thanks
Obviously slaidmodfast v1 is the best for script available in SGA... Since last month, I have been using 787 MHz to save battery but I experience lags in every area... But after flashing this mod, the lags are gone and I can play games smoother than ever, even at 787 MHz!! The best scripts ever!!
I think TurboBoost v8.5 ram script is perfect,
but may I ask how to uninstall the v6 supercharge ram script?

Run the script again and chose the option to "unsupercharge" it, i dont know remember what it said but it's via the script you can remove it.
I'm using Turboboost v8,5 and SlaimFastMod. It's working perfect for me.

There's no problem to run both at the same time? I read somewhere u shouldn 't use more than one script at the same time.
And a question, should I unnistal cpu tuner after flash turbo8.5?
Thanks

Really? No dev is going to listen to you.
Just dl a rom and siyah kernel and over clock your device. The s2 can handle pretty much any game even at 1000mhz.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
Sorry dude but... even stock roms can handle all the current games on market...
If you wish to tweak your device do as kilometers4 said... flash any rom with siyah kernel...

Why? S2 runs perfectly any game available for Android. Stock rom, AOSP, you name it. Dual-core processor and a high-quality GPU makes the combo.
Imo galaxy s2 runs every game
But not perfectly some of them gets laggy some, times like modern combat 3
And overclocking aint an option for me
Because the device already gets way to hot when playing games

I am agree with this topic. plz dev. make a rom for hard core gamers
Just install light , optimised kitkat rom (ex. SlimSaber 4.4.4). Instal DorimanX kernel , set CPU speed 400Mhz min -1300Mhz (1400 if your CPU can handle that) , set maximum GPU speed to 400Mhz (440 if you GPU can handle that). Use odemand/row as a awake grov./schred. . Remember. SII is a 2011 Double Core 1GB ram device!
Hi, I have both GalaxyICS and the official CyanogenMod 7.2 Nightly on my SD card. Both via CWM backup.
The CM 7.2 doesn't lag on my phone, yet the GalaxyICS lags every so often, Not sure why as it is a standard install with a few apps and such.. Does anybody know a way to make the lag stop preferably without changing CPU frequency. Maybe flash a lagfree script or something.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Now I know u said not by canging cpu frequency but the Ace can mantail 800mhz 24/7 so run at full speed always, so why don't u just set minimum to 480 it won't harm ur phone...
Cuz I tested and without setting minumum my Ace runs 80% under 480 wich makes it slow...

It's mainly laggy when I run apps, which in theory should not lag as it is set for 800Mhz for maximum, which is the reason I am confused about it.

CM 7.2 is a fully made rom, ics is not , because it is not finished CM 7.2 is finished, ics is not.
Yes, but for some reason the Ace doesn't always run at 800Mhz when it needs to...And I have used it without lags from Beta 5 so the nightly is fine!

Well I flashed galaxyICS when it was on beta 8 , I didn't had lags but I did changed the cpu frequency.
I think you should try change it and see if it makes the lags disappear. Again remember it's only a beta.

Is it possible to install SG A rom on Ace 2 ?
They are really similar like defy and defy plus (some people install defy+ roms on defy with red lens)
So anyone tried to do it ?
It will be good idea (of course if it will work :laugh because Advance processor clock is set 1000mhz (ace "overclock" don't work well, only changes clock value display).
Sorry for my English
