how to turn off vibrations - Motorola Photon 4G

I found the setting to turn off the keyboard vibration, but there are still other instances when it vibrates - for example, every time I unlock the screen it does a quick vibrate, and when I move icons on one of the seven desktop screens it vibrates.
Any way to turn off the vibrating for the unlock operation?
Thanks!

That option is unchecked. Even with haptic feedback disabled, I still get the vibrate when unlocking.

No, that isn't it either. The keyboard vibrate options are for when you're keying in text. This is just the unlock screen that vibrates.
I'm beginning to think it's built into the OS. Weird that they don't allow you to change it. Sometimes I'd like to save as much power as possible, and the vibrate on unlocking does nothing for me. There's really no benefit to it. Doesn't help you unlock better, lol.

My mistake, I some how misunderstood the question even though it is written very clear. I would like to know the same thing . It seems that everything that has to do with vibrate on this phone is awkward. I have other issues with the vibrate settings.

those 4 keys always vibrate, cannot turn them off. If you use third party applications your vibrate for the phone calls and reminders will stop working too.
No you cannot. I have found that the only way to do this is to have the phone rooted and install Streak Vibrations and use that.
That globally disables all vibrations from the phone.

[Q] script request

Is it possible to have a script that totally removes the vibration feature?
You don't need script. Disable from Settings -> Sound setting -> vibrate feedback

I know that but doesn't always work. If you receive a txt while talking on the phone it vibrates, if you restart your phone it vibrates and couple of other actions I don't remember
Uncheck everything that has vibrate under setting -> sound, and vibrate should be completely disabled

Every HTC device i had in the last 4 years have done this, different ROMs, different O.S's (windows, android) so i guess this is a hardware thing (maybe a quick self test?).
Other than stripping the device apart and un-plugging the vibration unit you won't get a totally vibration free device..

Vibration, what vibration!

Just got my galaxy S3 and im loving every second of it, BUT
the vibration is so "low" i cant feel it vibrate in my pocket compared to the HTC HD2 at all. is this normal. is there any way to make the vibration "feelable" if thats a word.
i had at least 7 miss calls with vibration on and i didnt feel none of them at all. you may say put the ringtone on. but i was in a situation where putting a ringtone on would not be right so i put it to vibration mode and i didnt feel jack all.
even with the ringtone on the vibration cannot be felt! so disappointed
any tips would help

can you feel the phones vibration in your pocket?
Pretty sure you can turn up vibration intensity in settings.

Settings --> Sound --> Vibration intensity. If you're still missing them on max intensity make some longer custom vibration notifications for your apps, be less likely to miss those (inbuilt feature).

As others have pointed out, you can turn up intensity in settings, mine was on full and almost too much!

Vibrate mode not working

I feel like I have to be missing something dumb here. I can't get the G3 to be in vibrate mode and vibrate when I get a text or call. When I get the call the screen just lights up to the caller screen. It doesn't even vibrate when I have the ringer on. Under settings -> Sound, I have Silent mode set to vibrate then the Ringtone with vibration checkbox goes grey. This is what my sound settings are in the screenshot. What am I missing?
Do your phone has droped recently!?
I has a phone that droped and my vibrate has gone:|
If you feel it's not hardware problem, you should reset you data..

I just got it on Friday. I haven't dropped it. The phone won't even vibrate when I switch it into vibrate mode like my S3 did. I am trying to stay away from a hard reset of the phone.

It vibrates when I turn the phone off yes. So I know the vibration function works.
So it just vibrated when I got a facebook notification.
So probably it's gonna be ok in next LG's update

Sorry but I don't want to wait until LG updates it.
Ok, now it seems to be working. I restarted the phone and it went through the optimizing apps screen. I wonder if it was having issues still after I tried switching to ART runtime. I switched it back to Dalvik yesterday but it maybe didn't optimize everything.

[Q] How to COMPLETELY disable vibration on the Nexus 9?

I was surprised when I felt my Nexus 9 vibrate as all the tablets I've owned in the past have never had such a feature. However, soon I realized why because it's more of an annoyance than anything, especially when one of my random apps decided to vibrate in the middle of the night.
So how can I completely disable vibration? I have not found a main switch for this. I seem to be able to disable it app by app in some apps but not others.
Thanks in advance.

Was having this problem too. Assuming you are using Google keyboard, you need to go to two places (both in Settings):
Settings | Sounds & notification | Other sounds | turn off "Vibrate on touch"
-and-
Settings | Language & input | Google keyboard | Preferences | turn off "Vibrate on keypress"
Doing that worked for me.
If you want to make your nexus 9 silent (no vibrations or sounds) for all notifications, press and hold the volume down button until the device enters vibrate mode. Then, tap the vibrate icon and then u will see the usual bell icon with volume set to 0. Look at the screenshot.

I think, I thought the OP meet Hepatic Feedback .... is that right "Hepatic"?
Type with the Google Keyboard you get a vibration every button press.
Vibrations for notifications I have no personal objections and use them on my phone all the time.

Haptic feedback, but close enough And yes, this is what I thought the OP was talking about also, not the notifications.
Well the question has these words: 'COMPLETELY disable vibration' so I thought he meant notifications too....but anyways...knowledge is good, right?
Sent from my Nexus 9 using XDA Free mobile app
Yes, what I was referring to was vibration caused by notification, not haptic feedback, which I disabled as soon as I setup the Nexus 9.
I've already disabled vibration in settings but some apps, with no settings to disable notifications at all, still vibrate even when I have the device on silent.
It's annoying because some of these apps may suddenly vibrate in the middle of the night or while I'm watching a movie.
Did you try the method which I had devised earlier?

I did. In fact that was one of the first things I tried yet for some reason some app's notifications (the ones that don't have settings to disable) still vibrate.
