Yes but we can only hope the 2 phones also get it
The Xperia Active gets it while the Mini and Mini Pro don't? I don't get it, I thought they were similar except for the special case on Active.
The link to the blog says all 2011 Xperia phones, so that should mean the sk17i and sk15i aswell, the poster prolly just forgot to list 'em.
I wonder - if they'll get the update - when SE will release it ... takes them a while to "customize" the ROM - and ICS isn't even released yet.
Probably ICS release + 6 months or so
Sent from my Xperia Mini Pro using the Internet
First of all, ICS is completed. The release version is 4.0, not 2.4. It truly fuses Gingerbread

hi guys, right now I'm using a HD2 w/Android on it ... And the battery sucks and I get no audio notification while charging, so I decided to change to either the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 or the HTC Google Nexus One... I'm on T-mobile T-Zones/Web2go
Why Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10i?
Can I get Gingerbread on the XPERIA X10i?
I'd get the nexus one actually.. There is no multitouch on the x10 and the only updates past 2.1 are custom roms...
The nexus one will stay current with updates and will have full functionality instead of a locked bootloader that hinders the phone like the x10..
X10 has multitouch/dualtouch...

Dualtouch yes, multitouch no... hence why i wrote no multitouch
And the dual touch is pretty buggy.
dual touch on mine works fine.. no problems at all... X10 looks nice, and UI is better looking than std Android..
In the end it comes down to looks vs raw power
any more info

Doesn't N1 also have Dualtouch only?
N1 if you want to flash your device regularly
X10 for a beautiful device with stable software
Yes I'm aware of the cross axis ' issue' never caused me a problem though

So Nexus One, is the move!
The x10 doesn't cost that much and the xda devs are making it upgradeable
the nexus one will have the latest android software available. whereas the x10 will be stuck on the older version of android

Anyone have any ROMS for the xperia x10 2.3.3 and above?
Have you checked the xperia development forum. And apart from some very glitchy honeycomb roms 2.3.3 is going to the newest rom you can get.
Sent from my HTC Desire Z using XDA Premium App
I couldnt find any romsfor 2.3.3 just 2.2.1
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
well maybe you should try and check these awesome thread.
btw its just a ported rom, so dont expect it the SE ginggerbread version.
here you go.
for X10 mini Pro
Cyanogen Mode 7 Gigglebread Mini Pro
for x10 mini
Cyanogen Mode 7 Gigglebread Mini
owh and one more thing i believe that this thread only for x10mini/pro.
thanks anyway for reading.
I've recently read that there's coming an official fw of 2.3 for all xperia devices in late q2/early q3, so just hold on and it will come.
Posting link later

sony did announced that x10 are getting 2.3 update and it's official.
you can read it on their official web site.
but not sure if x10mini/pro are going to get the update.
read it HERE
According to their product blog, only the X10 will get gingerbread.
"Will you upgrade the XperiaTM X10 mini, mini pro and XperiaTM X8 to 2.3?
No, we have no such plans. We have had to prioritize our resources and have therefore focused on delivering the upgrade to XperiaTM X10."

I'm sorry for not being allowed to post a link
Well that's a big dissapoinment to all mini and pro user.
Btw, our mini and pro won't get rotten without se official update, there's still tons of devs here porting giggerbread for our devices.
Such as owain,
Jarpalea, nobodayatall . . . Etc.
Instead of feeling down, why don't you guys try and check their custom ginggerbread rom.

Xperia Play user's had official beta version of ICS, shouldn't we get it too? We should make pression on sony..
I'm just saying..
Sent from my WT19i using XDA
It's only about a month/1,5 months, no point of releasing a beta anymore, better wait for full version.

Still, it's unfair..
In my opinion, Sony has forgotten MDPI terminals like Xperia mini, mini pro etc... , but I hope that they will release a beta version to make the wait shorter

Releasing a BETA would actually make official ICS to be released later, because BETA version would require additional work to allow people to install it without problems and try it.
I was confused, why x10 mini pro and x8 can be update to ics, why x10 cant be?
Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2
mini pro and x8 are newer phones compared to X10,even they have better digitizer, but i dont know if x8 has offical ICS rom from sony
So I guess too bad for me. Huhu.

There is no official ICS for X10 Mini Pro and X8. Sony just updates the models from 2011.
Any dev can share their development about JB

take a peek here. might help you :good:
FXP Wont work on JB but gave some interesting hints in X10 Development forum (FXP CM9.0 thread).
I guess that the most important thing might be preparing new kernel out 3.X branch (which was never done for X10)
Fera was nice developer but I has stoped work for x10
I think we should request him

Some devs are working on JB for X10
Check that out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30345322&postcount=6051
But without a team work itll be useless. We need KTG team to work on new kernel: like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1685799
And lots of others to make things work!
Our x10 could of ran ics good but the makers of our processor stopped support for it up to Gingerbread. So don't expect(entirely my view) to see AMY ics rom running smooth enough to be happy with.

The maker of our processor created Adreno 2XX driver for ICS and JB so theres a chance, just someone hast to work on it.
They are many device which are not supported after 1.6 but their devloper hv mad code so it can run even jb on 600 mhz processor too

No it is the Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon processor that is the problem, with gingerbread we were able to get about 54fps but ics around 30fps which I cannot live with. Because qualcomm cut support for it by way of drivers.
