I rooted my Photon and downloaded the root tools app by jrummy16. I changed the title of the pulldown menu from Sprint to my name. I rebooted and now it say "roaming indicator off". I tried to change it back to sprint but it didnt work, it stayed the same. Is there any way to change it back?

Nope.. I did the same thing. Far as i know.. Reset. I finally gave up.. unlocked.. and flashed full-on custom.. My MoPho is so much sexier now!!!

Nope. Thats what i'm trying to remove. I tried a few SBF files so I could flash it back and re-root it but both files I downloaded were bad.

Is there a way you can make a Simpsons theme?
Speaking practically, is there a way you can remove the persistent AT&T from the notification bar?
I've also read requests elsewhere for a black notification bar.
Ultimately, I don't know the extent to which you can tweak things, so I'm just going straight for the jugular regarding the things that bother me most.

I will dbl check but as of now i think att&t has to stay :-( but i can def put together a black notification bar theme
In the other thread about the black bar, the OP was able to remove the ATT. However, during the edits, something happened that now we get FC in settings. OP is trying to fix it, but if you can take a look too to speed things up?

Sweet, i'd really appreciate it.
It maybe a stretch but I ran CM6.1 before this phone and I miss the phone/ringer/messaging/unlock and gesture functions. If you can get one or both going that would be sweet. Also I miss having my lock screen music controls.

I agree, how ever shouldn't the rest of these threads just like mine ... or ones titled ROM even though its nothing but a system dump moved as well ? After all with out a recovery, bootloader access, or kernel access, this will be as custom as it come

framework-res.apk doesn't exist in system/framework on the Atrix.
I only see blur-res.apk and moto-res.apk
Digging through the files now.
Need to be redux...to do this right?

I was curious about that, but cannot see it in my framework folder.
I'm using Droid Explorer from my desktop and Super Manager from my phone and I cannot see that one file at all.
EDIT: duh... figured it out.
It was there the whole time. Known file extensions was turned off.

Even when i hit the toggle the screen rotates, i saw other people had the same issue. I asked the devs if it was meant to be that way but they must have missed my post. Does anyone else have this issue?
The launcher is meant to rotate, nothing else should if the setting is off.

Thats my issue, the setting is off and it still rotates.
What is rotating? Everything or just while on the launcher? The launcher will rotate with the setting off, but no other apps should.

Theu tweaked the launcher to rotate. But it doesnt hook the rotation toggle. So it'll rotate regardless if rotation is turned off or not. Blame samsung or nitsuj17

I gotta change my sig to reflect that, it seems people use comrom or some deviation bc its quick to say maybe. In any respect now i can switch back to the reg launcher, i appreciate it. Would there be a way to mod in the future to use of of the things that launcherpro and adw afford us, like having just the icons without the names of the apps, of changing the icons of the apps while on the desktop?

I have searched for almost 3 days now. I have done nothing but read and read and flash and flash and read some more. After many any boot loops and reflashing I have decided to post a thread. I think I have found what to edit in the framework-res.apk and I know for a fact I have to change stuff in the android.policy.jar. But I just have no clue what. Any way someone could actually post the correct instructions or if they know of a thread to point me to it. I don't want 3rd party app so please don't suggest that. I want to do it on my own. Thanks

2.00 in the market...WidgetLocker...download it and you will have a rotary lockscreen that is far more customizable. And from the clock in the screenshot shown in that link, it looks like widgetlocker (based on the clock size and position as well as the battery)
-Now that I read the last line in your post, I will also add that there was a mod done on the incredible by rmk...I think...I may be off on who did it, but there was a guide posted and identified the files that needed to be changed on that phone. You should try and find that and maybe it can help you ID the exact changes you need to make...I tried and failed miserably a few months back.

If so, the changes he says to make is for the Dinc Sense framework. Which already has the values in android.policy.jar.

Yeah, I know. Kind of expecting that.
But, I have used search, I have frozen them (had other errors from nightly, so hard to narrow down), but I just want to see if anyone else has had problems before I write the rest of the script.

He means that it should have been in the Q&A section, not the dev section. So now that we have that clear, if you're not using a sense rom, those things shouldn't be in there in the first place. If you are using a sense based rom, removing anything that says htc in it could cause problems.

Anyways, you'll be fine with that list, just be advised that if you remove the lockscreens and their idlebases, you'll lose Incoming Caller ID. You'll need to unlock before answering each time.
Also, if you're going to debloat, you might as well remove Burgandy and Blue Sky, as well as the Streak Wallpaper and the Live Weather Wallpaper. Both are ultimately useless, the streak wallpaper isn't exactly dramatic, and the weather live wallpaper (2 apks) are also useless and all you have to do is look at the weather app to see them. Those two apks combined are massive in comparison to the rest.
Might as well add "MyReportAgent.apk" to the mix.

Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question - I tried searching, and I also went through just about every option in Venom Tweaks to see if I could find it. But I just flashed Viper4G yesterday, and I have this status bar icon I didn't recognize - I looked through all the screenshots in the Viper4G thread and didn't see it in any of those. I attached a screenshot - anybody mind helping with a rather noob-ish question?

That's the icon for NFC. If you disable NFC, it will go away. Settings>More>uncheck box for NFC

Or, if you feel adventurous, you can edit a file to get rid of it. I can't be bothered to toggle it every time I want to transfer files to my tablet or my wife's phone.
Navigate to /system/customize/ACC/default.xml, and change
<item type="integer" name="nfc_show_icon">0</item> from 1 to 0, as you see in the line that I posted. It is only a few scrolls downward, so don't miss it.
