[Q] Stuck at SE logo and don't know what to do - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hello,
I used to be on CyanogenModv6 with my X10mp... It was perfect, but this morning i decided to upgrade to MiniCM7 Pro (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201116)
The thread say that i need CWM to do it. Then i searched how to do this, and i found that :

Because i already had Xrecovery. I did it like this, and now, i'm stucked at the Sony Ericsson logo... How can i fix this? Thanks a lot.
Jerome

use SEUS to reflash 2.1 to your device then root and try again, if you want i can give you the files and a little explanation on how to install CWM manually

thanks for your answer. I used flashtool and now it works
thanks for your answer!!

I have a similar problem.
I used this guide to unlock my bootloader. After the kernel downgrade and the actual unlocking of the bootloader (using the setool2 batch), my X10 does not boot and I can't shut it down. This means I can't get into flash mode holding the back button.
Any suggestions?

Plug in your USB-cable, press home-button and power-button simultaneously, and as soon as the screen goes completely black, release those and press the back-button, voila, flashmode...

[Q] Phone Crashed?

hey guys,
some weeks ago i rooted my xperia neo with the help of this board. everything worked perfect until today. i tried to make an update via the update center of the phone. after the update was installed, the phone didn't startet when i push the on button. i already tried to flash it again, but the problem is, when i want to connect it in the fastboot modus (with the blue light) it doesn't work. the blue light dont appear like it did some weeks ago. i already tried it couple times, also i tried diffrent buttons on the phone (back, menu, list), nothing works.
does someone know what to do now?
Many details need to know so to know your situation:
1. what method you use to root it
2. did you unlock it
3. How did you flash it after you cannot boot
4. Why you connect it to fastboot? Fastboot is pressing menu key, for Flashtool it need to press back key, what have you done?

first i unlocked the bootloader and than i flashed a firmware of this forum. The exactly version i dont know anymore, but it was android 2.3.3.
2. Did you unlock it
yes
3. How did you flash it after you cannot boot
when i try to flash it with flash tool there comes the message after he found the phone: Turn phone on, go to application settings, turn on unknown sources and debugging.
But i cant turn it on

it flashed some datas but every time on the end it says the same (with that debugg stuff).
when i try to turn it on it vibrates short but it does nothing.
it works now, seems i had the false firmware

I don't want to hijack the thread but can you tell me what ROM version did you root it ? Or can you start a new tread with your rooting experience with this exploit ?
I saw another post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19177766&postcount=137 about successful root.
All i need is to root my official 2.3.4 Neo and nothing more.
Tks,

[Q] Bricked mini pro, event cant flash with flashtool

I tried to flash nAa kernel(unlocked bootloader successfully before) with flashtool and flastool said it succeed. When i reboot my phone it comes up with nAa kernel screen and reboots again. It goes into an infinite loop within rebooting phone, only showing nAa kernel splash screen, nothing more and reboot. I can reach to cwm recovery. I flashed the latest MiniCM7-2.2.0 custom rom and wiped user data/cache. Same problem remained.
I decided to go back the original stock kernel and rom via flashtool. You know the rest; you select the stock files then press ok then it says "oh, ungplug usb, power off, hold back button and plug in usb again". I did this steps several times but flashtool cant recognize my phone. Not even a blink. The weird thing is, when i power off my phone and plugin usb(not doing the holding back button thing) the green light is on(it is not offline charging i know it) same as it goes into flashmode. I tried flashtool again with hope but couldnt recognized phone again. Even S1 tool cant recognize my phone. It seems completly lost!
I tried hopelessly with Pc Companion and get the same result. I found a post about "Gordons Gate Driver" but couldnt get any result with that. No tool can recognize my phone in flashmode, in normal mode(talking about the infinite rebooting state, not even a blink from flashtool).
Im out of ideas, even out of google . Is there someone to provide me with new idea? Or is there something im missing? Please help.
Thank you for reading my adventure hope someone helps.

You did not mention the model of your phone.
Always mention the model when posting.
In 2011 devices:
Press Volume DOWN key for flashmode(for flashing firmware via flashtool)
Press Volume UP key for fastboot mode(for flashing kernel)

Really bricked phone

Hi,
I would like to ask you for advice before throwing my X10 mini away and buying something else.
I have had MiniCM7 installed for a very long time (more than a year), and upgraded to all versions without any problem. Today I installed MiniCM9 3.0.2, but I decided to reinstall MiniCM7 because of some problems detected with this version, so I went to SEUS, downgraded to 2.1.1.A.0.6, installed BusyBox, xMiniRecovery, root and flashed MiniCM7 2.2.0 and gapps. I have done it quite a lot of times before.
But, when I tried to reboot onto MiniCM7 2.2.0, my phone was stuck onto Sony Ericsson logo. Here's what I did:
1) Ok, Home+Power and reenter into recovery by pressing back key. No, no luck, it doesn't enter into any recovery.
2) B plan, I'll go to SEUS again. Home+Power, connect USB and keep back key pressed. Nothing, SEUS doesn't recognize anything, but Companion does activate a little popup on my Windows, as if it detects my phone plugged into my computer. No red, yellow, or green lights in the phone.
3) C plan. Flash kernel directly. I downloaded kernel from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17674938#post17674938 and used FlashTool. But, again, when I press Home+Power, connect the USB cable and press back key, it doesn't recognize anything, FlashTool is waiting for me to connect something. Antivirus is disabled.
If I keep back key pressed, no SE logo appears; black screen. If I release back key for a little while, SE logo appears and it gets stuck.
Both if I connect it to the computer or to the power socket, no green/yellow/red led appears.
Does anybody have any idea? Everything (cable and phone) were working wonderfully before flashing 2.1.1.A.0.6 for the last time.
Kind regards,
Jordi
Ok,before u try this u should know it will delete everything of phone memory:apps, contacts, etc.
And it removes root and recovery and phone will be like the day u bought it except that bootloader is not touched if unlocked stays unlocked
TRY AT UR OWN RISK
Steps:
1-download sony erricsson pc companion
2-click support zone and choose software update
3-before clicking continue click on repair phone
4-wait till loads and choose phone type
5-concentrate on this one cuz it has 2 methods
5a:if ur phone doesent restart automaticlly just plug usb in computer first then with phone powered off hold the back button and connect the usb cable only let hold when it says u can
5b:if ur phone DOES restart automaticlly remove battery till u reach this step and put back cover bedside till ur done with this method what were gonna do is when we reach this step we quickly plug battery and before it restarts just hold back and insert usb cable.
6-wait to install
7-congratulations unbricking
8-(optional):click the thanks button :xD

But Companion refuses to install it! "It's impossible to install or setup update components of phone sotfware" grrrrrrrrrrrrr Tomorrow I'll try to get another computer and follow your procedure.
Thank you very much
Always happy to help as ive been in such issues alot

You say you have an X10 Mini, and not an X1O Mini-Pro.
The X10 Mini requires you to run the nAa-kernel in order to run the latest verstion of MiniCM7.
You say you downgraded back to stock firmware and installed MiniCM7 again, did you forget about the kernel?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhh you are right!!!!!!! I have installed kernels and versions a lot of times on my device, and I was so confident of myself that this time I didn't realize I was missing one of the most important steps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So stupid of me.......!!!!!!!
I've tried PC Companion as suggested before, but no way: it doesn't detect the "flash mode" at boot time. I keep pressing Back key and I only get a black screen; when I release Back key, SE logo appears and gets stuck forever. It doesn't matter if I try SEUS, PCCompanion or FlashTool, it's always the same. I can't shut it down, just restart over and over again via Home+Power.
Does anybody know what can I do?
Kind regards,
Jordi

I do not know what did I do, but by trying for the 1000th time to do the Home+Power+Back key combination with USB connected and keeping Back key pressed, and pressing and releasing it madly afterwards, while FlashTool was waiting for me to flash MiniCM7, FlashTool has reacted!!!!!! It allowed me to install MiniCM7 again!!!
What happened? I do not know, perhaps I pressed Back key just the microsecond that the hardware needed it.
Thank you very much!!!!
hahaha, cool And here i was thinking you were trying to flash the kernel, lol
But good luck

[Q] Problem Xperia X10 mini upgrade to ginger bread

Dear Sir I Want Upgrade my xperia x10 mini to gingerbread.
i followed all steps.
but after i do unlock bootloader My Phone failed Received Network signal. then i do further procedures flash, CWM clock etc.
After CWM clock screen i done Install UPDATE.ZIP from my sdcard. after i switch my phone. when i switch its shown only "SONY ERICSSON" in WHITE LETTERS its not off and on. plz help meeeeee plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
By the sound of things there were a few things that have gone wrong.
First of all, the bootloader unlock... it unlocked ok, but the fact that you lost signal means your phone's simlock-certificate is not compatible with unlocking yout bootloader, you should relock it to get the signal back.
Secondly: (And this can't be done because you can't unlock your bootloader successfully) If you want to run a Gingerbread rom on your X10, chances are you need a custom kernel, and you didn't flash one. The ROM you installed doesn't work with the Sony Ericsson kernel, that's why you are stuck with the white letters.
Solution 1:
Press Home and Powerbutton at the same time, your phone will reboot
Press the Back-button repeatedly to enter CWM
If you made a backup before you flashed the custom ROM, choose Restore and reboot your phone after it's done.
Solution 2:
Press Home and Powerbutton at the same time, your phone will reboot
Press the Back-button repeatedly to enter CWM
Choose the bottom-option - shut down phone.
Leave your phone disconnected from your PC
Go into PC Companion or SEUS and choose update
It can't find your phone and will give you a repair option
Choose that, accept you will lose all your data and select your phone-model
It will download the firmware for your phone, ask you to connect your phone in flash-mode and flash it.
Hope this helps you
(If your phone is sim-locked, ask your provider for an unlock-code (EMMA/IMEI-code), after that you will be able to unlock your bootloader without loss of signal, and flash a custom kernel and rom)
I already done that steps but its not solved not open CWM screen also not updated firmware through repair. plz give solution sir.

[Q] Xperia Pro unable to flash + bricked

Hi everyone,
i bought a second hand Xperia Pro which came wih Lupus Kernel and Ultimate HD rom. Now I wanted to try the stock firmware for comparison but i can't flash it.
I've followed several guides and searched on the forum with no luck. what i've done is basically
- installed flashtool, latest version
- downloaded the stock firmware and put the .tft in the firmware folder
- open the driver installer from the driver folder in flashtool and selecting fastboot, flashmode and xperia pro drivers to install
- click on the flash icon, select the correct firmware, click flash
- when the window with the animation asks for it i press and hold the volume down button and attach the usb cable. I keep pressing the button and the lupus logo appears, then nothing happen and the window with the usb cable animation goes on
i've tried several times and also on different computers... and... to get thing worse, i've just bricked my xperia :s after several attempts, a menu apeared on the display (i have no idea why, i must have done something different from the previous attempts) i think it was called lupus cwm. One of the options was about wiping the phone... i've tried with that one, then he asked me "Root access is missing. Root Device? This cannot be undone" and I choosed yes... not very wise to choose yes or no when you don't know what you are talking aobut, i know
So basically if i try to turn the phone freezes on the lupus logo and i have to pull the battery out. And, no need to say it, nothing has changed when it comes to trying to flash it with flashtool
any help will be much appreciated, i really don't know what else i could try now...

thanks for your help. I've tried removing the battery but it's just the same. A blue led, not green, turns on for a couple of seconds on my xperia pro... i've recorded a short video so you can check that i'm doing everything properly...

so you think it's not a problem if i have bricked the phone wiping off the firmware? the flashing procedure should work the same?
MUAHHAHA got it!!! my phone is finally flashed! i was just pressing the wrong button :s even if all the guides specific for xperia pro were saying to pross the volume down button, i had to press the BACK button! and the led did turn on green indeed, as you were saying
just another question: what happened when that CWM menu asked me "Root access is missing. Root Device? This cannot be undone" and I choosed yes? does that mean i rooted the phone? and is it stil rooted or it's been overwritten by the original firmware i have just flashed?
thanks

I'm sorry, I forgot the thing about the back button instead of volume down, too
If you have an unlocked bootloader, your phone normally should automatically be rooted when you flash a custom kernel as (nearly) all kernels for our devices include this feature. But as you have flashed the stock firmware now, all was overwritten and you have to flash another custom kernel to get cwm back
ok, thanks a lot
