SOLVED

first for jumping out of flash mode, i used pc companion's repair, even though it didn't worked, but at least it kept my phone in the flashing mode
second, after the failure of pc companion, i opened flashtool and flashed a 1.6 one onto it.
third, my phone was running again!!

hey guys,
i have bricked my phone
i have tried the solutions here, but none helped:
* seus said: the phone has already the latest version installed
* repairing said: there is no software available for your phone yet
* sometimes the going into flash mode doesn't work, it simply jumps out of it, but by pressing some buttons, it remains in there
[edit: now i can't make it to stay in flashing mode anymore]
* the combination back+home+power does not have any effect
* flashtool reaches to the end and says
29/044/2011 17:44:36 - INFO - Now unplug the device and power it on
29/044/2011 17:44:36 - INFO - Then go to application settings
29/044/2011 17:44:36 - INFO - turn on Unknown Sources and Debugging
though nothing happens afterwards (and by nothing i mean it still remains at the SE TEXT, not logo).
NOTE: I rooted my xperia before using flashtool, but i couldn't install recovery, and even when i was installing root with SuperOneClick, everything was smooth and said success except the test which failed.
PS: if i use a generic ROM, would that help? i flash this firmware with flashtool:
Generic 2.0.2.A.0.24[rooted]X10 Mini Pro (U20i)
You flashed with xrecovery ? Can you access it and fix permissions ?

yes, the rom had xrecovery, but holding on back and power doesn't lead to the xrecovery, the text still shows up, though it has a delay and the grean light blinks once
I´m dealing with the same issue. xrecovery was installed but I can´t even access it because the cell phone hangs on Sony Ericsson logo screen.
still unsolved. cant use usb- wont connect. green blink and thats all. logo hangs up all the time.
Hi all,
I tried to put a other custom rom on my x10 but it didnt work:
First i rooted the phone, then istalled xrecovery then i booted into xrecovery and selected custom rom, now my phone booted but its stuck on the Sony Ericsson screen
Flashtool is able to root the phone but then the debugging mode error comes,
Seus cant connect with the phone because i cant boot into save mode, also flashtool cant connect with the phone if i try to flash it.
im out of ideas!
HELP!
sorry for this bump but im desperate!
First of all. Was your root successful? If yes then does your base band support the rom that you're trying to install because one gets stuck in the boot loop if the baseband is not correct for that particular rom.
Cheers!
AdY

It says the root was succesfull, but then you have to enable USB-Debugging mode but thats impossible beacause there isnt a correct rom on the phone so you cant boot and enable USB-Debugging mode.
I had the same problem 2 days ago.
I fixed it by downloading http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=959821 this one
Place it into flashtool, and wait till flashtool gives you the message to connect your phone in flashmode.
(im probably sure you know how to, but ill explain it anyways, remove your battery (because its stuck on the logo), wait a few seconds. put it back in. hold the back button, and connect the usb wire, untill the ledlight turns green.. fast press 'ok' on the flashtool screen, otherwise your phone will go out of flashmode)
Thanks, for the reply,
Ive contacted the Phone house, and they sended it back to SE, now SE says the phone has water damage, very wierd but still ill get it back today and then try to flash it your way
Hi friends,
I think I have bricked my X10i B'cuz the phone is struck at the Sony Ericsson logo.
What I tried to do?
I was in tripndoid MIUI, so I wanted to upgrade the rom to black edition, so I tried to unlock the boot-loader, I had successfully downgraded the firmware and unlocked the boot-loader and also updated to custom kernel (doomloard)
After that I got in CWM recovery mode and installed the .zip file after cleaning the system cache and dalviks cache, Now the phone refuses to start nor get into flash mode.
I tried removing the battery and reinstalling the battery, but as soon as I put the battery back on the phone lights up at the Sony logo.
Even If it try to charge the phone from the electrical socket, the led of the phone does not turn on, it still gets into the Sony logo and stops there.
The phone gets recognized in the flash tool, its tells the phone is in ADB mode. I cannot put the phone on flash mode anymore.
I tried looking in various threads, but could not get a concrete answer, please help. I have limited access to internet, So i do not have PC companion to try and repair my phone. Is there any way that I can get back my phone alive.
Edit: I just plugged it in, I can get into flash mode.. Anyone please help me how can I flash back to any rom..
Did you flash the upgrade firmware after downgrading and unlocking firmware? Sometimes the Kernel doesn't support certain ROMs as well and it can't boot into the system.
The easy method of flashing the stock SE firmware is by using the X10 Flashtool. Simply download and install it (you might have to turn off anti-virus software as it's listed as a virus of some kind) and install the stock SE 2.3.3 firmware and press flash. Instructions will pop up and your phone will be as good as new. It does mean that you lose everything like ck, recovery, unlocked bootloader, etc.
You can find the Flashtool and the stock firmwares here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
EDIT: To do flashing, you will have to turn the phone off. The X10 may turn on when you reinsert the battery too soon, like you have described. Generally, you should take the battery out for about 5 seconds before reinserting it so the phone actually turns off and doesn't turn back on.
Good luck and don't forget to hit thanks if this helped in some way
@ Panzerfaust101 - I have already hit thanks
I figured it out myself.. here is how I made it through..
Problem - was in the Kernel, just out of some instinct I downloaded Doom's kernel v.006 and some how got the phone into flash mode and flashed the kernel.
After that I was able to navigate into recovery and install the new ROM, but my problem did not stop. Now the phone got struck in the new RoM's startup screen.
So again I downloaded the right version of Doom's kernel for the RoM and flashed it again. So I got the problem solved, but I realized the phone radio was not working, So I again downgraded the firmware and ran the bootunlocker and then updated the phone back to the right kernel.
Now I am able to enjoy the new ROM.
Yeah, it should be your ck. I flashed a ck before (can't remember which one), but for one reason or another, I couldn't get cwm-based recovery working, so I tried another one which couldn't boot anything up properly, so I'm back on stock 2.3.3 (was on the MIUI-based BlackHD Edition. Brilliant ROM btw) waiting for beta+ CM9 ROM for X10 to be released
Btw, for future reference, can you link me the exact Doom ck that you used? I'm probably going to install a custom ROM on mine again and I need to know one that will be guaranteed to work without a problem. Thanks
Cool, you will need Doom's kernal - X10_FXP_DooMKernel-v05a-BootManager-v1.3
Also hope you have the bootlocker unlocked, if not you need to use X10_aZuZu_Kernel_Downgrade_Generic firmware and unlock the boot loader after that you can directly upgrade the firmware to Doom's kernel and install the RoM.
Thanks to DooM and aZuZu for the files.

i've your same problem...how i can plug-in in flash mode?
Try this trick!!!
Remove the battery.
Connect your phone to system with the battery still out.
Now hold the back button and put the battery on, green led will glow.
Now you are on flash mode and this would stay for not more than 5-10 secs
You should have quick fingers, so that you should select the firmware or any update within those ten sec's. Keep trying this will work... BTW its was the only way I could revive my phone.
but pc don't recognize my x10...

Are you using a flashtool or Pc Companion? Also please reinstall the adb drivers to your PC and check again.

Is that the method you use to flashing? I've seen it quite a lot on these forums, but I haven't personally used it before and I've been curious as to what they did. Generally, don't you prepare to flash by pressing the flash button on Flashtool and following the instructions that pop up? i.e. disconnect and turn off phone, hold back button, reconnect phone. I've always used this method for flashing. Doesn't it work properly for some devices?
Also, if the battery's out and the flashing takes 10+ seconds, what happens? does it stay on once it's detected a device flashing the firmware?

The ten seconds isnt a standard just a rough idea. Yeah the flashtool way is proper way to enter flashmode it just that the USB socket on this model isn't the best, many people had problems and basically just found their own way around it.

Pleeease, I need help.
My x10 enters in flash mode with the green led, but it still only 10 seconds on, after that change to SE logo and that's it...I think that it's because it ran out of battery...any solution for this!?!?
After that I can leave it connected by USB but still being with the SE logo and it doesn't seem that the battery is charging.
Even if I take off the battery, put in again and simply connect it by USB the SE logo shows again...I don't know what else to do...
This is Flash tool log:

Kind of a late reply, apologies for that. Yes I followed the same method as listed. Some times your method works but not always!!!
If the battery is below 5% i believe the system will not get you into the flash mode. Since flashing hardly takes few seconds, I suppose the available battery will hold on.
BTW my trick starts only after I get into the flash tool

I don't think its cuz of a battery issue, It cuz of kernel issue. Kindly give a backdrop of what you are trying to do? Might be helpful to correlate the actions.

Yes mate I tried the same tool that you have posted. Yeas I did upgrade the firmware to custom kernel and then went ahead with the installation.
Try this link : http://www.mediafire.com/?3ol6gpykaa5acwo
Thank 7hr08ik for this link. Please use the FXp kernal, not DooM.
Major update is that DooM kernel version that I had installed was completely a phone crasher, So I had to update the kernal and the RoM for a newer version.
Right now I am using FXP kernal with v3 of the blackedition HD v1.3 RoM, So far So good

I was using slade87_GinTonicSE for my SE X10 Mini Pro. I downloaded & tried new ROM i.e, Xperia Blaze V3 with the normal procedure for installing a custom ROM. It was successfully installed looking good and was also working fine.
But, I was not satisfied and I thought to install some another ROM which i don't remember that ROM. It almost got completed and the phone was about to start(Long Start at first boot),it was at SE logo. It usually takes 8-10 mins, isn't it? But in this case I controlled my patience and waited for 13-15 mins but then i thought it's got hanged. So I removed the battery out and i tried to flash with U20_1.0_Default Kernel.ftf using flashtool. All the process was completed and the phone was back at the default kernel. I was in little bit in relief situation, but the problem was that the touch was not at all working(I cannot able to swipe to unlock the menu screen), not a single button was working, and the phone was steady with the screen menu light ON. The only way to turn off or restart it was removing the battery again.
The phone is still in this situation.:crying:
I tried to do flashing with different kernels like
U20_nAa-ics-04_2.6.29.6-nAa-ics-04.ftf
U20i_2.1.1.A.0.6_Baseband_015.ftf
The error was something like:
17/029/2012 17:29:04 - ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="MEMORY_CLASS";ERR_STATIC="HASH_VER";ERR_DYNAMIC="Block verification failed";
17/029/2012 17:29:04 - ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
17/029/2012 17:29:05 - INFO - Device connected in flash mode
17/029/2012 17:29:07 - INFO - Device disconnected
17/029/2012 17:29:09 - INFO - Device connected in flash mode
Whenever i turn on the phone, it's still and steady on the menu screen and the screen menu light is on with touch and none of the buttons working.
Buddies...Please help me solve this issue.

hi dude, just return phone to android 2.1 via SEUS then follow the rules in seus ok
Hi there, I'm using Otus the 3g version, I recently got it but is a used phone, there was a popup for official update and when I updated it, it installed from recovery, and turned off after that it never turned on, nothing happens when i connect phone with charger, I cannot go to fastboot or recovery, sometimes when i connect to pc it goes to EDL mode (I can see the device in device manager ) is there a fix for this ?
Sometimes when I connect charger there is a light yellow/white LED flashing for sometime and then the phone dies
Please help me!!
thanks:crying:
More info : phone 's bootloader is locked and its not rooted
I think you may have hardbricked your device just like mine. The white LED flashing is because of no battery. I had the same issue in August. Unfortunately there is no possible fix for a hard brick. Myself and some other Members of the Moto E 2015 community have tried coming with a solution but in vain.
