Flyer always rebooting - htc quietly brilliant screen - on and on - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

*** UPDATE: adb reboot bootloader worked and stopped this **** ****
Hi everybody,
i need help on my flyer. I got it today and tried to flash honeycomb like Paul described in on modaco.
After the step of unlocking the bootloader via htcdev.com (which worked fine as everything else) the flyer now always reboots and shows "htc quietly brilliant", then black screen and "htc quietly brilliant" again.
What should i do now? Help!
Wait till the battery is empty?
Will it charge then?
****!
Regards
Daniel

Thread can be closed. Sorry ;-)

I had the same problem twice so far, where randomly the Flyer gets stuck in the reboot loop. If you don't want to use adb then you could hold down the power button to make it reboot then hold the down volume to get into the bootloader.
The first time I did a system restore and had to re-install all my apps. The second time I had revolutionary installed and the Flyer rooted, but I had neglected to make a backup image. I was able to get it back by going into recovery, making a backup of everything (with the bad boot), doing a wipe back to the factory image, then went back into recovery and did an advanced restore of everything except boot.
I'm sure it will happen again, so I'm counting on just being able to restore boot next time.

Please HELP! cannot get into recovey!

Okay about a month ago I root my gf evo 3d , she has hboot 1.5 so I followed the steps on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239821.
Everything has been working fine up until about a week ago , her phone started running hot and the battery would drain really quick with barely any usage. So my plan was to do a factory restart and full wipe and reinstall the rom fresh but when I tried to get into recovery the phone just shuts off , then goes to the boot screen then after the boot screen the phone just restarts itself. I even tried to do a factory reset from the phones menu options and the same things happens. The ways I tried getting into recovery are by using the shutdown menu options (hold power , reboot , recovery) , I've also tried rom manager and last I tried getting to recovery from bootloader and nothing seems to work.
I am completely lost PLEASE! HELP!

You should reflash your recovery to TWRP using fastboot. Then boot into recovery using fastboot. From there you should be able to do a complete wipe and flash a ROM. It is outlined in the thread you linked OP and second post. Feel free to come into the d3rp q+a thread in my sig if you need more help.
It worked thanks you

As a heads up to some of the inner workings.
All the methods you listed are correct methods of booting into the recovery. ROM Manager selecting boot recovery, booting into the bootloader and selecting recovery and also adb shell, reboot recovery.
The boot order goes: bootloader -> kernel -> recovery. Once you see the HTC screen or whatever custom splash screen is loaded, you know the device is now booting the kernel. At this point, if the device hangs on the splash screen or reboots again to the splash screen, something is wrong with the kernel "recovery" itself.
If you get this rebooting to splash screen or hanging on splash screen two or three times in a row, that should be sufficient to know, you have correctly booted the device into recovery mode and the next step is to reflash the recovery, essentially reloading it.
We can speculate on how/why the recovery became corrupt on your device, but in the end, these things sometimes just happen to no intentional fault of the user.
Hopefully this doesn't happen again, but if it does, hopefully this extra information will help prevent a bit of frustration the next time around!

So you mean, stuck at the splash screen(HTC with white screen) and reboot again and again is because of the recovery destroyed? My phone stuck at the splash screen for about 10 seconds and then reboot again and again. I have tried to flash many recovery images, includeing twrp 1.0.3, twrp 1.1.1, cwm-1.0.4, cwm-1.0.5, cwm-5.0.2, all failed to boot up into recovery:-(
Thanks in advance!

[SOLVED] Can't Boot into Recovery

Hello all,
I have followed several tutorials here on XDA, and even more video tutorials on YouTube, but I am stuck at the seemingly simple task of rebooting into recovery. I've rooted every Android device I have ever had, but this one is throwing me off...
I flash TWRP (from adb), erase cache, and then when I'm still in the bootloader, I go to bootloader>recovery and then for a split second I see the HTC logo with the pink "booting into recovery" text then it reverts back to the clean HTC logo and proceeds to reboot into the OS.
I've tried the whole process again and again, and still nothing. It doesn't say "TAMPERED" above UNLOCK (in the bootloader) either.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance
---
EDIT:
I managed to get it working. I let the phone sit (powered 100% OFF) while I brewed a pot of coffee (1-2 minutes), when I tried it one last time; it listed "TAMPERED" then "UNLOCKED" and allowed me to flash into recovery with no issues. I think the key is to let the phone sit for a bit while it is powered off. [MODs - Feel free to remove this thread if needed]

[Q] Can't get recovery to load, shell won't work and HTC One freezes at Boot...

I have followed a few of the tutorials with some success but did a mis-step somewhere along the way pursuing S-OFF. While not a total noob with modding (Consoles mainly) this is the first time I am truly lost in the process.
Excuse me if I use a wrong term here and there, I probably need to have a sleep as I have been working on this (from start of initial Mod) for about 17 hours straight (Overnight).
So I have a HTC One M7 UL that I have unlocked and has TAMPERED showing on the Boot screen. :good:
When I power it up it freezes at the white HTC powered by ANDROID screen.
I can get to the Boot menu, and I can select Recovery but it shows the screen for loading the which ever tool I have managed to flash (so yes I have the ability to flash and can swap between Clockwork and TWRP versions with flashing)
I can't list devices or start a shell session, as it thinks that USB debugging isn't turned on. Up until I caused the FUBAR USB connection was working fine.
Holding Power Button doesn't shutdown, just reboots, but can achieve shutdown through boot menu.
How do I get a working phone again?
Ok I soleved it myself. Found a boot.img flashed it over and the custom recoveries work again. Now onto getting S-OFF so I can get Google Play Edition.

Accidentally Deleted System under TWRP, Now stuck at HTC boot logo.

Hi, this is a new phone, ordered from eBay. It didn't have PlayStore or Browser or any important apps, I also found out that it was a rooted phone and it was originally a Sprint phone since I just ordered a brand new HTC M9. I don't mind it being a sprint phone, since it works with my carrier in India.
Well I tried to do a factory reset, and went to Twrp and delete Dalvik Cache, Cache, System and Data. After that it showed no OS installed and also Phone not rooted, do you want to install SuperSU. After rebooting the phone, it's stuck at white HTC boot logo.
I searched for this problem in Google, and found lots, but I was not able to understand anything, i'm not a noob, I have rooted several phones and installed custom ROM, but this is a first. I'm sorrry if I didn't search enough, but I opened at least 20 Web pages and still nothing was clear to me I tried installing Stock ROM for sprint 3.41.651.4 for HIMA, which I think is Marshmallow, and mine was initially running lollipop.
Please help, if possible in a step by step manner. I don't want to return this phone and wait for a new phone since it looks brand new.
Thank You.

Hi !
Can I do this thru TWRP install?
Is there a difference leaving the name of full .zip than just OPJAMG.zip?
Thanks

I have a HTC One M9 Sprint that powers up but stays stuck at the HTC logo with red text. IF ANYONE CAN PLEASE HELP, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. I AM VERY DESPERATE FOR HELP!

Need help to unbrick an HTC One M8 (ATT)

Real quick back story: Originally this device was being rooted to try to perform some data recovery after a factory reset. Everything went fine to unlock boot loader and root phone, TWRP was used as a recovery manager, but after installing SuperSU it wouldn't load from the booted device (error about binaries missing when clicking its icon). So a newer SuperSU zip was found and installed, and then the phone bricked on reboot. Just would freeze at the HTC logo with white background.
Fast forward to no longer needing the data recovery, just want to restore back to working condition. The boot loader was relocked and the latest RUU package from HTC was downloaded for AT&T build. Booting to the boot loader and setting it to fastboot USB, everything works fine running RUU (tells me current OS version and what it will flash to, etc) until it gets to the point where it says it needs to reboot to the bootloader on the RUU software (even though that is where I am initiating RUU flash from in the first place). The phone reboots to a black screen with HTC logo, and then the RUU software gets error 171 that it cannot communicate with the device. When RUU gets an error, there is no retry, only exit and start again. I read on another post someone said don't worry if this happens, just hit exit, run RUU again and it will pick up and continue to flash. However when you click exit on RUU, the phone reboots back to the white screen with HTC logo and hangs there.
Does anyone have any advice to get this device back to a stock android install? Thanks. If there is a better sub forum for this question, please let me know and I will post there.
