So guys I have changed the ic_launcher_phone.png in the Phone.apk, resigned it even though I don't need to and still am getting the stock HTC phone icon. I take it perhaps it is calling the icon from another place but have had no luck finding it anywhere. Anyone else come across this please let me know, its the last icon I need to skin.

I believe it's in dialer.apk,I could be wrong as I haven't themed that myself but if I remember correctly I saw the images in there.

Hey Martin thanks, I spent countless hours doing a dinik themed synergy rom and I missed the proper apk. Hahaha I appreciate you pointing it out.

I got tired of waiting for someone to include a rom with the stock google calander built in and launcherpro too so i made it myself....i even got android commander to work with the vibrant which helped ALOT
screen shots arent the correct colors due to that function on android commander not made for the vibrant.....hope you like it

I don't see a screen shot and there have been a lot of people that have tried the stock calendar, but there is a white bar across the first week so a lot of decided not to use it.
I personally just use "Calendar Pad" from the market.
yeah the touchwiz is sooooooooooooo integrated into the phone it has its own extra files in the frame work, it took me an hour to dig and find that bad boy but i found it and edited to be clear..(wouldnt work if i deleted it). anyway my net connection is garbage so ill try to upload it somehow....but in the meantime here is the screen shot

yeah see its stuff like that, that makes uploading our stuff not worth the time... A thank you is always appreciated, a shout out (name-drop) is appreciated more.. Most of all, donations are nice too...
unless you give credit where it is due, its called stealing... if you know what you are doing and can modify yourself, why not use your own work or credit the originator in your OP...

DUDE IVE NEVER EVEN HEARD OF YOU i got the drawables from cyano/leo N1 frameworks....the rest is stock such as the timepicker file.....

Donnow if is gonna work
Try it and report back.
Copy twframework-res.apk from /system/framework to your sdcard
Then copy the one downloaded from here in /system/framework/
Restart your phone and see what happends.
If it force closes or it looks worse than before, then copy back the one you had before.
If you cant copy because of your system crashing, ill make an update.zip to return to the one you had before.

Until we have kernel access and and or a recovery/bootlader i have started making small mods and themes to my devices , this is one of them... if you would like it let me know... if you would like something else , let me know as well just please do so in an orderly way Meaning make sure no one has requested this ahead of you

Speaking practically, is there a way you can remove the persistent AT&T from the notification bar?
I've also read requests elsewhere for a black notification bar.
Ultimately, I don't know the extent to which you can tweak things, so I'm just going straight for the jugular regarding the things that bother me most.

I will dbl check but as of now i think att&t has to stay :-( but i can def put together a black notification bar theme
In the other thread about the black bar, the OP was able to remove the ATT. However, during the edits, something happened that now we get FC in settings. OP is trying to fix it, but if you can take a look too to speed things up?

Sweet, i'd really appreciate it.
It maybe a stretch but I ran CM6.1 before this phone and I miss the phone/ringer/messaging/unlock and gesture functions. If you can get one or both going that would be sweet. Also I miss having my lock screen music controls.

framework-res.apk doesn't exist in system/framework on the Atrix.
I only see blur-res.apk and moto-res.apk
Digging through the files now.
Need to be redux...to do this right?

I was curious about that, but cannot see it in my framework folder.
I'm using Droid Explorer from my desktop and Super Manager from my phone and I cannot see that one file at all.
EDIT: duh... figured it out.
It was there the whole time. Known file extensions was turned off.

You could always try Nova Launcher, pretty sure that has the gradient status bar. That would be easier than modifying the system ui.

Hope you saved a copy of the original file. Yeah, I've tried dabbling with system files in the past, but had similar results. You have to get pretty seriously into it, and there's a lot to learn. Gives you an appreciation for what the developers actually do.
Developers usually do what they are interested in, rather than what someone else is interested in. I doubt if anyone with the skill to do that is still using or interested in this phone.

I was looking for att 4g icon in status bar on top. Tried the build.prop file editing but didnt work. I guess there are no att 4 icon in the phone d620, as its international build model.
Dont know decomplie and recomplie the system ui apk.
Anybody can help me or guide me or post the system ui apk with att 4g icons, would be great.
