Hey guys, today, about 10 minutes ago, I received a notification randomly and once i opened my notification bar, the following website opened by itself.

I'm running on Atrix with CyanogenMod Beta on At&t. Anyone else get this, or have similar problems. I'm not sure how to look into this, i downloaded aLog but not sure what i'm looking for to block.
You installed an (imo malicious) app that includes a notififaction add spammer called AirPush, use this app to find out what the offending app is and delete it.
Do that^
then kill it with fire

You can prevent imminent blindness by taping your eyelids open. This stops the squinting and resulting blindness! Been doing it for years myself!

Never heard of that App and fortunately I don't have any infected airpush apps installed on my phone, but that's still good to know...

Hi
From today morning I keep seeing these messages in my phone which lead to an internet page with ads
Have not seen anything like this on any of my android phones
Is this some kind of virus in my phone?

I have scanned through avast and it said that my phone is clean . I hate these ads

Download the app airpush detector from google play. its free and it will detect the app that pushes the ads on your notification bar so you can remove it.

It's an ad. You've installed an asp that's probably free but ad supported!
Just work out which one and un install to remove ads

You can also try the app called addons detector which is also free.

wow, thanks mate that was helpful......found it and uninstalled
It is probably done by one of the apps you installed. Don't quote me on this, it is purely my speculation.

:highfive:
And the point of this thread is what?
On a side note, it seems I can't report from within the xda app anymore. I long press the message, hit more and the report option is no longer there.

I too have no ability to report a thread using the app...

Reporting has been gone in Tapatalk paid version for at least a couple of updates, too...

I woke up this morning and as usual I spend time on y phone to wake up before I start to move LOL! I am paging thru my home screens and I see this. I have no idea what it is and never downloaded it. Second one in two days. I only redownloaded some apps that I have used in the past. Ones that I trust. I know that some developers use that push notification kinda stuff for advertisements but this is a whole different level. I have searched my application manager in settings and cannot seem to locate this. What is it? How do I fully remove it?

Do you have titanium backup? If not, I would download the free version and check it in there.

Download Air Push Detector. Run it. Delete offending apps.

Looks like you have downloaded an app that has malware in it. You need to find that app and remove it.
Title says it.. my brother hates the slider. He's rooted currently.. I looked on the play store but couldn't find anything that takes the slider away.

What are you looking for exactly? The slider prevents "butt answering". A button to answer would make it easy for a call to be accidentally answered in your pocket.

I think he wants something similar to the DNA.. you drag the phone into a circle
We found the option for home button answering the phone. He's worried about butt answering with that so not sure it'll work out to well.

Not sure if it will do what you want but check out widgetlocker lockscreen. I haven't used it in a while but it had a lot of options for the lockscreen.
search for this on the play store. it was made by an XDA member

Really digging this phone, and the stock rom. Had it for 4 days. Android OS uses 200~mb data each day. Can anyone confirm that LG is botnet/stealing metadata?

The part of the code everyone is referring too has nothing to do with LG.
It is simply a part of the MeetMe apps reporting abuse function. Go get the MeetMe app, go to any persons profile, and try to report them. That EXACT list will come up.
