If you asked and got no reply nobody knows .
Try your network or its forum as its the network settings not the phone .

i dnt think its just a network issues, there's an app called ussd checker, which automatically triggers any set of ussd codes on given intervals n display the results in the form of widgets, so if anybody can catch the script which triggers the ussd code i think it will work

I found this in xda windows mobile segment
After much searching and tinkering I finally found a simple way to disable the annoying balance notification message that arrives after every data connection on the AT&T Pay As You Go service with a data package. This fix involves adding a single registry entry and it suppresses all USSD messages that originate from the carrier, even those that you might request manually.
Here is the registry change:
HLKM/ControlPanel/Phone
New value: SuppressUSSD := DWORD(1)
Add this value and (probably after a soft-reset) you will not be bothered with the $0.00

whats the solution for samsung galaxy s 2 ?
its jst become battery killer for my mobile, daily 100 times vibration alone for sms is there way to completely remove the vibration frm the system i can live with silent mode no problem...

It is at the operator end to stop sending USSD popup.
But can stop the vibration in Galaxy
1) Enable "Settings-> Sound -> Haptic Feed Back"
2)Vibration Intensity-> Set it to zero but scrolling left.
3)Disable Haptic feedback
Vibration gone!! But for the beep set media volume to zero or have root the phone and replace the sound with silent.

I alwAys disable heptic vibration to save battery, thnxs though for pointing,n as far as the operator is concerned, I was on the same carrier when I was using windows mobile, and some one from xda brought a tweak which solved my problem, so if it can be tweaked in wino I think it should be possible in android as well

Why does it always say "Conditional call forwarding active" when I make any call?

Why does it always say "Conditional call forwarding active" when I make any call?
Hi there, basically I bought a new and sealed T-Mobile branded Samsung Galaxy SII phone from eBay and am using my 3 mobile sim in it.... I assume it wasn't originally locked when I bought it, as I went through the root and unlock method (ChainFire app), and the code was 00000000, and never at any point asked me to enter that code into the system, so hey, my 3 sim seems to work in it.... apart from the fact that for every call I make the message "Conditional call forwarding active" always crops up with a beep to go with it, then after a couple of seconds the call is made. It isn't a major problem as such I don't think, but hell it definitely isn't normal and is quite annoying after spending £400 on this otherwise amazing phone.
I have tried to fiddle with the settings but for some reason I cannot disable any of the call forwarding settings, some sort of error message crops up. I have phoned up the 3 network who I am with three times today and they asked me to enter a few # codes to sort the problem out, but I had no luck, and then they had me factory reset the phone using the option in the settings. I did that, and I still have this problem. I also get the message "Connection problem or invalid MMI" when entering most # codes, this seems to have happened after rooting, though I am not 100% sure if that is the case.
My phone is the Samsung Galaxy S II I900, just to confirm that.
I look forward to hearing from you guys
I am on Three and I get the same message although my S2 was purchased from O2 then rooted. I have not seen any other reports about this but the message has not bothered me.
I have the same message. Ave tried several hings without success, however since it really does nothing, I am starting to get use to it. But if someone knows how to solve it please let us know
voice mail
Hi guys i have this to but it only started when i activated my voicemail so i think its down to the voicemail
e.g if your on the phone and someone else calls they are placed forward to your voice mail ???
hope this helps
Hey there guys, thanks for the replies so far, glad to hear others are experiencing this annoying problem. I seem to have had this since rooting it, originally T-Mobile though I am 99% it was never "locked" to the network for some reason as I mentioned as I have never had to enter the 00000000 code, which the free ChainFire sim app gave me (seems like it means it is unlocked already???). The guys on the 3 helpline were giving me loads of codes which weren't of any help, and telling me about what options I could fiddle around with, but I had tried all of these to no avail.
Are people also getting the MMI message I mentioned in my original post, whenever they enter # codes in the dialer? It seems to me that both of these problems started at the same time (this error message and the forwarding issue - I am sure they are linked). It means, for example, I probably won't be able to set up a speed dial because of it, nor will I be able to use the "secret codes" as mentioned in the dedicated thread of the same name on this site.
Why is it a problem for some and not for the majority of people, we must have something in common which we have done with our phones which has caused this?
I really hope someone can sort this annoying problem out.
It's normal. "Call Forwarding Active" is displayed when all calls are forwarded. "Conditional Call Forwarding Active" shows when forward when busy, forward when unanswered, or forward when unreachable is selected. To make the message go away you'd have to disable the three forwarding options in their settings. The pre-populated number is always your carrier voicemail (read from the SIM) or Google Voice.

Cheers for the reply Barry, yeah I expect it is normal but the thing is I cannot change these settings, my phone won't let me as an error comes up. I know it's not a major problem, just a bit annoying I can't get it to go away. I can't disable those three things, I tried a few times already.
Plus, I constantly get the MMI error message, which I mentioned before, seems a bit of a coincidence how these problems started the same time. I can't enter the majority of "#" codes into the dialer, it always says "USSD Running" or something along those lines and then produces the message like 2 seconds later.
Any ideas? Thanks so far for the advice
I have this problem but unlike all others I cannot make any calls on account of it. When I try to disable call forwarding I get an error msg saying it's not supported by the operator.
There HAS to be a way to fix this. I cannot make any calls or use 3G.
Try this
menu-call-additional setting-select network default...
It work with my sgs2.
On the Galaxy S2 if you go to: settings-call-call settings-call forwarding-voice call forwarding -- You will most likely see that for unanswered or unreachable calls it's not disabled because it forwards it to your voicemail, that's why it says conditional call forwarding is active. If you disable all options you won't get the message but then unanswered calls won't go to voicemail.Hope that helps.

you realise thats almost a year old? Check the dates on threads before you post
ADMIN EDIT: True, but it is a current issue for some people so it's still valid to answer the question.
Doesn't work
My phone drops every call, even with SIM cards from different countries and in all conditions. Thinking this call forwarding might have something to do with it, I tried to deactivate it, first through the settings -- no luck -- than by reformatting the phone. Nothing, cannot get rid of it because it says it is set by the 2 different phone companies I use.
I don't mind the message but when I call someone, I can hear that the call is being sent somewhere, there is a 1st ring, then it rings the other phone. Does this have to do with call forwarding? Can it be interrupting the phone signal and causing the call to drop ?
I have also removed both the Turkcell and Telefonica SIM cards, put them into another unlocked phone and tried to cancel but as soon as I put them back, the message returns and my calls drop.
Im also getting this error when I updated to 4.1.2 and used galaxy s2 sim unlock
Has nothing to do with call forwarding !!!
The Message worked on all AT&T cell phones, since i can remember,. i been using go phones since 06..... and they all had this message when right after the number was just dialed, right after pushing the green phone icon button to dial it , right after entering the number to be dialed on the keypad.
I have found this message on LG Cell Phone 500 CU series... and all my other phones as well...
IT is NOT a CALL FORWARDING ISSUE>.. because i had worked on that for awhile myself...
IT is a Carrier Issue I believe.
and it doesnt happen ever single time , just on certain days . not sure, why... but perhaps, call your carrier and ask them what type of phone they have your phone listed as.
Then tell them the model and make u have. that might change things... Cell phone carriers know how to mess with your phone and break it too...
so if ur having issues with messaging, call forwarding, it just may be the settings the carrier has you listed or down for.
blah.
anyways. yes it is annoying, i just got a new phone, samsung galaxy express. it is starting to happen too on this one. but had it for a few days and it never showed up till about 2 days later.
I thing it is perfectly normal for your device to display this message, I'm central america and mine also says the same thing anytime i make a call "Conditional Call Forwarding Active. However since I have a prepaid or pay as you go plan with my carrier and whenever I have no more credits to make calls i get the message "Calling Barring Enabled". I guess it has something to do with your carriers settings, it doesn't bother me at all though since I'm already used to it so hope that helps.
Enabling call forwarding for real and then disabling it seems to work
I got the same error also on every version of the stock rom (it used to appear occasionally, though) on my Samsung Galaxy S2 (i9100, without g), in that case going into forwarding settings was enough, because the mobile used to read the current configuration from the network and recognized that there was no forwarding active!
I moved to Cyanogen Mod 10.1.3 / Stable and going into forwarding settings was useless... He was updating with the data from the newtwork, all the forwarding options were disabled but the notification message was still there...
I decided to enable it for real by putting a friend number from the same carrier and then disabling it immediately after, and it solved my problem! Hope it helps!
PS: I'm not sure that enabling the call forwarding is free of charge, just double check with your carrier first!

Add to Blacklist - Does not Work ?

Hi All,
I needed to stop a contact calling me so I added them to the blacklist, to check I tried blacklisting my personal mobile calling the Samsung Galaxy S2, so I can see when I view the contact details the no entry symbol on the number ( Why does it not show on the contact list?, surely it would make more sense to also show on here so you can see which contacts you have blacklisted rather than have to edit or view details for each one to find?), however when I try to ring the Samsung it still rings and I can still hear ringing on my personal phone which is not what it says in the instructions ?
When I check the call log, the number is there with the no entry symbol also so it obviously knows its blacklisted, but its not stopping the call ?
Anybody else tried this?
PS: I am now using the Lightning ROM so maybe this could be aproblem with the rom so if somebody could check who is on stock rom that would be great.
Also, is the blacklist option limited to the number of entries?, is it also suppost to block sms ?
SMS can't be blocked. It depends on the network and will be sent through. You can alternatively put them under Spam/Blocked folder, that's all you can do.
About Blacklist of Contacts in GSII, yes it DOES work. I am using it from the first day. You just have to press and hold on a Contact or Call Log to add it/them to Blacklist. Yes, there is no sign whatsoever that you will see as blacklisted, but to confirm just go to, Settings-Call-Call rejection-Black list to see which number/s you have added under Blacklist. And I do believe that Blocking capability also depends on the Network, other party, whom you've blocked, will hear Ring for a second or less before hearing the Busy tone. I didn't like that, thus installed Root Call Blocker and I can say it works just the same as the in built call blocker of GSII. I am still searching for an app which could be able to do real block, i.e- Elimination of ring at the first second or two and hear Busy/Unavailable tone straightaway, but still I doubt it would work or not as it depends on the carrier you are on IMO. Still if anyone knows a good app please let us know.
Regards.

I think the way blacklist works changed after the last droid update.
go to settings -> call -> call rejection -> auto reject mode ( set to Only blacklist )

[Q] answers to stupid questions, please

hi:
i waited for samsung nexus.. i spose i wont get it. i ll get sgs2.
tmo says that wifi calling for free will be available starting nov 13..
they have attractive over of 100min and 5gb data for 30$
i get conflicting info whether prepay plans will even support that feature..
i dont really understand what apps i can use to make calls for free over wifi..
google voice, skype.. whateever..
i dont know why i cant use phone as hotspot and make calls through its own network..
i will root, i have no idea whats current .. i have done nothing like that since my att tilt..
any guidance is greatly appreciated..
Hello,
THis question is stupid for several reaons.
#1 Subject - No intel about what youre asking
#2 Not a specific S2 Question / its a common Android / App Question
Too your question - use whatever you want - you can use a SIp provider (for real VOIip phoning over wifi) you can use skype / fring and so on ...
jsut try it - works well
i dont know why i cant use phone as hotspot and make calls through its own network..
Click to collapse
what the hell do you mean there - i know im not a native speaker but im pretty shure this sentence isnt either sane or english xD
i guess you mean you want to make your phone a hotspot then connect with the same phone onto it and then phone with sky from your phone over wifi to your phone over the net ? you really mean that ?
thats nonsense -
first phones got only one RX/TX unit for wifi so you can be either hotspot or client not both same time
Second no need for that - skype can use it own network like all other apps can do too
make no difference if you use wifi or 3g
however some network provider try to prevent VOI/IP - and skype communication by paket delay and or filtering - then you cant do much about it
sometimes it helps phone trough a vpn connection sometimes it dont (depent on tpye of the filterting they do)
however sometimes its just a bad APN setting - some netwokrprovider use an evil compression within their apn (while they charge you for the uncrompessed size) even flash/ajax/jscript/java apps can get broken because of that
also vpn can get scrambelnd and killed by that..
in that case ask for an uncompressed apn (most of em have it)
at last one thing to say - youre poor bastards in us
i pay 30 euro a month (including vat) for 6 gb data and 9000 min speech in every net wihtin my country - including a free sgs2 with a 2 year contract
hehe - nice to have 4 major carriers for an 8 million country lol
- btw tmobile is here too and they are frkn evil
i suggest you to use for wifi calling
you may use talkbox its not really calling but its really fun thing to contact with your friends
just be aware it consumes battery a lot
for free calls you got viber awesome app free from market
thanx for your replies..
much to digest..

USSD Codes, Not well supported on Lumia

I noticed that USSD codes (i.e codes checking for balance etc, eg: *111#) are not well supported on our Lumia. Sometimes it really takes ages to process and display the response, and many times it would just hang on 'waiting..' screen and finally i have to dismiss it and try again.
Again the response oriented USSD codes dosent suport at all. As in my Vodafone prepaid, on dialing on *111# I get a response screen with selection of 5 option eg: 1. Check Balance, 2. Data Plans, 3. etc. if it sometimes displays me the option menu, there is no space given to input my selected option (like if I need to know my Data Plan I need to press 2 and send ok), and thus cant do anything.
any workaround for this.
nothing till now... facing the same problem... Service Providers should also provide an sms based query method like old days along with this..
Last month i jumped my data limit and lost a balance of approx 250 INR..
Even balance and remaining sms balance is not shown after call/sms
No Windows Phone handset handles USSD Codes, I guess it's just not implemented in the OS. If you're developer unlocked you could compile and try USSD Runner (http://ussdrunner.codeplex.com/). I haven't tested it, so I've got no idea if/how it works.

Missed call notification bug on Dual SIM S9+

On my dual SIM s9+ I seem to be experiencing a weird bug with missed call notifications. Quite often no notification are shown for not answered calls. I only realize that there was a missed call when I open the phone app.
I was not able to identify any clear pattern that leads to a bug but close to 50% of missed calls on my device do not result in a notification in the status bar and the on the always on display.
Anyone experiencing the same bug? Is there any workaround?

Okay – I switched the Caller ID and spam protection to ‘off’ after reading about this on another forum and all is goos now. Tested with it ‘off’ and badge and notification shows....toggled it to ‘on’ and tested and it shat itself....must be a bug

Same here. Someone did understand if it's a permanent bug or can be solved somehow
I had this exact problem, go into caller id and spam setting then select the 3 dots at the top and select stop using the service, it will then prompt you that it will delete all saved data select ok. Then switch it back on and it now works. So far this fix has worked all day. Let me know if this works for you and if it stops working ?
I tried all the remedy in this thread but still no luck, I got sake problem. No missed call notifications in my lock screen, or in small notifications bar at top after I unlocked phone.
same problem since the launch on March 9 .... scandalous and the last update of Friday does not solve the problem ...

I had the same thing. Called Verizon and they talked me through it. The option is hidden so deep I don't know how anybody would find it. Go to settings, notifications, advanced, then menu button at top right to show system apps. Mine had 3 Phone options, select the second one and there's an option to turn on missed call notifications. Vzw had me change the importance to Urgent.

Anyone experiencing the same bug? Is there any workaround?
