I have had my Atrix since around March and I feel the latest .30 radio isn't as good in Australia as some of the previous versions.
Does anyone else feel the same way?
What radio is everyone using with Telstra?
I used to use 1.77.15P both with Optus and now on Telstra. I've now updated to 1.77.30P aand have no had an issue with it as of yet.
The issues I'm having with Telstra at the moment, I think is related to Telstra as quite a few of the guys at work also on Telstra are having the same issues such as random drop outs, etc.

As title states, anyone got any experience of the best performing radio in New Zealand, or problems with specific versions?
I'm emigrating next month from the UK, and would prefer to reflash before I leave. I dont want to risk flashing without a pc around (in case of a problem), which arrives 3 months after.
Do Vodadfone NZ set their networks up similar to Vodafone UK?
I'm currently using Radio 1.40.30.00 on Black Majik (which is the mutts nuts).

Hi, I am using 1.41 and it seems to be running well in my Area (Auckland). I tried other radios like 1.43, 1.46 and 1.47 on vodafone NZ but for all of them, i couldn't get any incoming calls. I am keen to hear more from others who are connected to Vodafone NZ!! Cheers.

My office is giving me a HD2 from Telstra - can anyone tell my what ROMs are compatible with it?
I already have a HD2 from the UK and am using Artemis v23 ROM on it. But since the Telstra one also has 850MHz that my UK one doesn't, I am not sure whether I can use any ROM and then tweak something, or whether only certain ROMs can work with it?
I can't believe the amount of Telstra bloatware there is - the std HD2 is way better in my opinion.

You don't lose any of the connection frequencies??

The simple answer (at least in my experience) is that pretty much anything works.
I've run a variety of ROMs and radios on mine and encountered no deal-breaker compatibility issues.
The radio hardware connects perfectly happily to NextG even if 850Mhz isn't available as a band option (leaving it on Auto seems best).
There is a cab available (search for Telstra_Band_Type) that will make Telstra's frequencies selectable, and there are also instructions on this forum to hack the registry to achieve the same thing.
But I wouldn't bother as it doesn't seem to matter in my experience.
When I first got the SG2, the data signal dropped pretty much every time I tried to use it (XWKE2). I upgraded my ROM to (XXKE4) and it seemed to make things much better. I just upgraded to (XXKF2) and it seems to be bad again, but not as bad as the original ROM.
I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, and if there is a preferred modem ROM for USA AT&T. I'm also in New York City, so this may also be part of the problem.

I recently canned my Desire and got a Galaxy S II, and so far it's been brilliant ever since I whacked Lite'ning Rom 5 on it and used the jig I bought off fleabay.
I was wondering if anyone has a Telstra ROM that has all the market settings, MMS and Internet useragents, and some of the apps, and kindly extract them. I bought my phone outright from Optus, and of course I nuked all the Optus crap, because I use Telstra. I had similar problems with my Desire when I loaded a custom ROM on it, but there was stuff to fix it and I can't find anything to do it for the SGS2.

I wouldn't mind this either. I bought my phone in hk and its never had telstra firmware. even if I could just try the telstra modem I would be happy, but I can't find it anywhere.

No mate, you are not alone, I just changed the stock rom for Sensation and I reckon I upgraded teh baseband as well to KH3 and now I am experimenting some trouble when connecting, before my network outside was faster and more reliable whenever I was but now I can hardly connec when outside and I certainly cannot connect only 2G, it only works if I have it in auto mode. The main problem is that I cannot remember what my former baseband was...
Sorry to bump but also have this issue. Vodafone uk with resurrection 1.3. Anything work best with ICS, vodafone uk? The current ones im trying are making it worse if anything.
