I see the offer still on their website says its good through 9/9 - but it also looks like its only good when you order directly from Moto

Thats what I found too, with delivery + sales tax (Calif) the total
was close to $38 bucks. (it's not a super special deal at all)
So what's the point since we can buy the same thing, same brand
at AMAZON.COM for the same price of $38.15 including shipping
and no tax.
Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-micro...f=sr_1_11?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1319943221&sr=1-11
It's best to buy stuff from a big online store which has a proven
record of customer service and fast reliable shipping.
So far I have not seen any items which cost less at any other
online store than amazon's prices.

Best place to buy a Nook Tablet

I am looking to get my wife the Nook Tablet for Christmas. I know they are gonna be $250 for a new one anywhere I get it but I was wondering what's the best place to pick one up. What I was thinking is a place that may give something extra with it. I don't need a warranty since I may root it anyway but if there's a place that gives more for the Nook purchase then I'd want to get it there.
Do any of you know of a place like that (since I know I won't get a new one that is sub $250)
The best I saw was shop with Discover card website link and get 15% cash back.
Barnes and Noble membership is $25 a year, and gives you a once a year discount on a nook of $25. So effectively you still pay $249, but you get a free membership. Check their web site to see if it is worth it to you. That is how I got my Tablet.

Oh hey I almost forrgot about this one. Thanks, one thing though is she has a Barnes & Noble account already so I don't want to get another. If I can find a way to use hers without her knowing do you think they will send her an email thaking her for the purchase? I don't want them to ruin the surprise :-\
Many retailers (BestBuy, Walmart) have extended holiday returns until Jan 2012. B&N only allows a 14-day return.

Thanks but I am not concerned about the return policy because I doubt she'd want to get rid of it once she has her hands on it

I almost did this but if you use the $25 membership to get the $25 discount on the tablet, and then you decide to return the tablet, you can't get a refund on your $25 membership because it has already been used (to buy the tablet).
I checked with the B&N guy to make sure when I bought it. He looked up the details on the membership and said yeah, there's a clause that says you can't get a refund once you've used it.
At the time I wasn't sure if I was going to keep the tablet so I skipped this deal but now that I'm really liking the tablet I wish I would have done this.

Yeah I want to use her membership as long as they don't ruin the surprise, walking in a B&N now to ask...

You're assuming the unit will have no defect, which isn't always true. It sucks when a new toy doesn't work, and you have to wait weeks to get it serviced (as opposed to exchanging it next day).
Ok, best way I found since they will email her about the purchace is to temporarily change her email to mine when I purchase it and then have her change it back later after I give it to her.
Now I got to think of a way to get her card off her w/o her knowing to do this... $25 cheaper w/o getting another membership is the best way I think
Thanks guys

8% cash back B&N purchases. You can do store pick up.
Best Buy may have a special coming up where they throw in a case and/or screen protector for the holiday season.

Thats where I bought it, comes out to $212 after the discount.
Could anyone see how much it would cost them to ship to Canada a new NT paid using this Discovery offer? Seems it should turn around $250, right?

FWIW, I returned mine and they did allow me to also return the 25 dollar membership. I read the fine print also and was expecting to have to eat it, but ran into zero hassle.
Best Buy
Best Buy has a special promo: with any Nook purchase (Touch, Color, Tablet) you get a FREE 2GB MicroSD memory card with 30 free books on it. It is allegedly a $315 value.
Here is the list of books: www[dot]bestbuy[dot]com/site/null/null/pcmcat257200050006.c?id=pcmcat257200050006
The promo is available in stores and online. I don't know how long it will last.
I believe Target and Staples are also giving away a $25 gift card with a Nook purchase, but I don't know if they are selling the Tablet.

Yes, I know, but someone could buy it and ship it, and I would simply have to reimburse him via PayPal.
I just waiting for Certified Preowned tablets. I hope they could appear in a week or two.
B&N used to give 30% discount on refurbished Nooks.

A friend told me about http://www.nowinstock.net/. I singed up, put in the item I was looking for (in this case, it was the keyboard dock), and then awaited the alert in email. Worked great!
Give it a try.
