Hi,
I have many different Launchers with many widgets and different layouts installed and i like to switch them every few days.
For my Problem imagine this case:
-ADW.Launcher has a clock widget placed
-LauncherPro has a weather widget placed
now, even though i have the LauncherPro set as default launcher the clock widget stays active (i see it in running tasks)
is there a way to disable this without removing the widgets from the homescreen temporary?
thanks for your help
Noone?

Not sure what its called but with the new TW update, there is a quick launch on the status bar with task, calender, world clock, pen memo, calculator, and music player.
My question is can you change these default apps to something else? and what is it called?
I do not believe so. What you will find is some of these can only be accessed by this bar or a widget. Task manager takes up alot of space on the home screen (widget wise.) So I find I'd prefer the mini app version in the mini launcher.
It would be nice if this evolve to be a row of mini apps and a row of quick access shortcuts to real apps.

Hi all,
I just installed tajm and the digital clock widget by Maize, but I can't place either on my desktop at all. When I long press and go to add a widget, neither shows up in the list of available widgets.
I'm rooted, and running CM7 with Zeam launcher (although I switched back to ADW launcher just to be sure, and still had the same problem).
Are these Sense only widgets? Man, that would be a bummer...
bump...
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas!
I just love the default weather widget for Samsung Galaxy S3. Problem is that when I change to Nova Launcher, the weather widget is not available from the widget list! What can I do to get the default weather widget in Nova Launcher? Must I switch to Apex or another launcher? :S
The default weather widget is part of Samsung's TouchWiz so when you change launchers you lose it. Going to another launcher other than Touchwiz will still not give you access to that widget.
You might try some of the widget programs like Beautiful Widgets in the market. They might have similar weather widgets. I know on my Rezound I use Beautiful Widgets for my HTC Sense style weather/clock when I run Nova.
Is there any way???? i need the weather widget in my apex launcher...

Doesn't look like it, I want the s planner widget but that too isn't available without touchwiz.

Yep, you only get the 'Calendar' widget.
The touchwiz widget apks are system apps. If some brilliant mind could pull them from system/app and (somehow) convert them to installable user apps, we would be able to use them with any launcher.
I'm not sure if this is even feasible...any takers;-)

Partially true…
On my Galaxy Tab P5100 with stock 4.1.2 and Nova launcher, the Accuweather widget was working flawleslly. It is a case, that it is partly a part of the system, because when pressed, it opens a full screen application...
Now, on 4.2.2 Nova can't pick it up anymore

That is inaccurate.
On my Galaxy Tab S2 the built-in Weather app used to provide both of its widgets to Nova Launcher without any problems: both the wide "clock & weather" widget and the small "weather only" widget were available in Nova. I had that classic Samsung's widget it on my screen in Nova for several years now. However, in my case just recently (around the beginning of November, I think) the wide "clock & weather" widget suddenly became unavailable in Nova Launcher.
The small "weather only" widget is still available in Nova Launcher though. When I switch to TouchWiz, I see two widgets under the built-in Weather app. But in Nova I see only one - the small one. This is a recent change.
I have no idea why "clock & weather" disappeared in Nova, but "widget is part of Samsung's TouchWiz" and "touchwiz widget apks are system apps" theories obvioulsy don't hold any water. Anyone?
Someone has got to have made this but I can't seem to find it. I'm using a "hubs" layout (one screen for social media, one for productivity etc) and I'd like to essentially have a horizontally scrollable launcher widget on each screen with apps that make sense for that hub.
Currently using simi folder widget which is cool, but I'd prefer the launcher bar that is activated by clicking on the folder to live in a widget right on the home screen.
Could anybody point me to a widget app like this? I'm pretty sure I saw a video where someone had this but didn't see details on what they were using. Thanks!
Edit: sorry if this would have been better posted in themes and apps. Please move if necessary.

If I'm understanding you then what you're looking for is a dock that can display icons that are specific to the current page? Something close would be Nova launcher which provides a scrollable dock. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it!

Thanks, I'm currently using Apex and I really like it. I don't want just 1 dock (no matter how many pages on it you can scroll through). I want a different set of apps in a horizontally scrolling launcher bar widget. Then I could put an instance of this widget on each of my homescreens with different apps in each one. Then when I swipe from my "Office" homescreen to my "Photo" or "Video" homescreens this "launcher" widget has the appropriate apps for that hub. Hopefully that makes sense.
Like I said, simi folder widget is pretty good for this kind of setup, but I thought there might be a better solution out there.
Hi,
I'm using a sidebar that supports widgets, and nova launcher.
I'd like to add a clock widget that, when tapped, will bring me to the app drawer and home screen. Nova launcher has the option to add such shortcuts, but I'm unable to find a clock that utilizes them, besides digi clock (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sk.michalec.SimpleDigiClockWidget), that I'm already using it in another configuration, and it doesn't support multiple instances.
So, does anybody know a clock with shortcuts, other than digi clock?
How about UCCW. It has configurable hotspots. What sidebar are you using?
Example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tung91.uccw.flatsense
Thanks.
But UCCW, as nitpicky as it sounds, doesn't allow for 24 hour format.
I'm using appsi: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appsimobile.appsi
take a look at HD widgets, it has plenty of clock/weather widgets, and you can set up for example the clock to open your alarm app, and the weather display to open your preferred weather app.
And you can choose 12/24 clock format
