I hope that this really gets release soon. But I hate how it has trebuchet. Why? It look and functions good on phones but from the video it looks like it is not good. Idk y but still....also...how HP made the screen in being the crappy iPad size, ics might not look as good, but hey...ICS ON HP TOUCHPAD!

trebuchet is the stock launcher for CM9.
It was built by the CM team specifically for CM9.
It looks just like the stock ICS launcher so idk what you're complaining about.

His point was somewhat misdirected (at Trebuchet) when in fact it's how Google does ICS for tablets. They dont feel it's necessary to have an app-launch bar, notification pulldown, etc. I totally agree with this decision. A tablet experience should be different, but still with the same overall feel. I think it's perfect.

if that's what he meant, then he's missed the point of ICS
Woah, nice.. Excited!
Why does every Android device I've ever used seem to lag opening the app drawer? I've tried almost every 3rd-party launcher, lots of custom and stock roms and phones and tablets, and they all seem to hiccup, at least a little, opening the app drawer. I only comment because I noticed it in the CM9 video for the 10.1 and the Touchpad, despite both having excellent hardware.
So strange, I had hoped ICS would put this to rest once and for all.
(This, of course, does not in any way speak to this team's efforts to bring ICS to the Touchpad, for which I am ever grateful!)
That accent is so sexy.
Can't Wait!!!

Good question. Using VTL.Launcher my TP does stutter a bit on the drawer animation (not on any other animations though), but on my phone (Epic 4g) it does not stutter at all.
I'm not really fond of that type of animation anyway, so disabling it eliminates the problem.
Please post threads like this in the General section. The development fora are meant for development topics only.
Load up Nova Launcher on the TP, see if it's any better.
I'm pretty stoked about this. Hopefully we're gonna get a surprise tonight or very soon....
Hi guys
I bought a tv out cable over ebay recently tho it hasnt arrived yet.. i just wanna know if anyone has used a rom that they can confirm works with tv out. Cm7 would be preferred. Im aware there is a kang of cm7.2 with tv out working but the link and thread are dead so if anyone can post it, ill love you forever.
On a side note, does anyone know for a fact that my wiimote will not work with n64 on cm7 or the vibrant?
Thanks in advance guys

Go to download.cyanogenmod.com
Go down to Vibrantmtd
Then scroll down until you see CM7 or CM9
TV out works in CM7 but only on stock kernel
While in CM9 works with any kernel!

As long as you are using a non-Samsung ROM/kernel, the wiimote should pair just fine. You will have to download an IME app for it from the market though. I can't remember what the app was that I used. Search for wiimote and that should get you what you need.
I had it running back in the days when GB roms on the vibrant were being released here. Made playing Mario 64 a lot easier than with the on screen virtual buttons

Last I checked it lacks Hardware acceleration though so beware. If you are to try to play any video that is 480p or higher it probably won't play.
For example if you try to show the videos you just took with your phone in the big screen (like I had tried) it won't work, so you can say it's a bit crippled version of TV-out. If you want true TV-out you have to try Froyo derived roms ... sadly.

Sorry I was referring to the video capabilities of Tv out, didn't try gaming though...
Also the quality does not seem to be as good/clear as in Froyo days'...
Here's a link to a thread with the newest version of the play store. I can confirm that it works on cm9. Enjoy.

I havent looked for any changelog. I have just been watching YouTube videos about it. lol. But you are right. Its pretty much just ICS on steroids. The biggest features are google now and whatever they did to make the OS super fast. At least thats what I feel are the major changes.

Yeah. I knew about project butter. But don't know what exactly they did. Something to do with the processors utilizing the OS better I think. It would be cool to be able to use what they did to make other android versions faster.

It feels like alot of clutter was removed from the system and the store was changed. Play Magazines is actually an awesome addition with reasonably priced items (.99 c for any one mag $14.99 for an annual subscription). Google Now is actually kind of scary in that it has just what you need to know when you need to know it. The 'card' system is great when you want to know about the current weather and traffic but the google seach integration sucks therefore making the sports and travel cards blow. The notification bar has been improved allowing you read whole messages and call from there, snooze alarms and whatnot. The whole thing is just....smoooth...Jelly Bean is ICS fully realized.

Lol I tried two totally unrelated ones and both had the same freezing and lagging. Was convinced I was experiencing the same problem as OP and high tailed it out of there before the wife caught me lol
Anyways not exactly looking to go back to that site any time soon. Like I said I can play 1080p Flash videos on Youtube just fine, no lag or anything. Hell yesterday I was playing a youtube video WHILE playing Max Payne using multi-window. Just had the browser window minimized to the right side of the screen as much as possible. Everything ran just fine with no lag or problems.
What browser are you using Arun? And whats your ROM, Root and kernel status? My info is in my sig and I'm using Perseus kernel overclocked to 1.8Ghz
I was using boat browser & I only watched 1 video but it played with no lag. I'm not rooted or anything as I see no need to root this baby. She performs out the box!

Idk but I'm keeping my Galaxy nexus with 4.1.1 PA rom for those sites as well
maybe it has something to do with a software layer being unoptimized on that site or something
