Hi, is there a way to replace system apps with my own app, like replace semchome with launcher pro, music with zimly, that doesnt cause any problems like missing apps notification error ?
You have to download the replacements and delete the system apps, however I'd search the forums on how to do that since not all of the system apps can be replaced without seriously breaking the OS.
Did anyone tried replacing system apps with own app ?

What for? just uninstall the system apps you dont want and use whatever you want as default. I removed semchome, music, semcalarm, and all the semc **** i could eliminate, which was quite a lot.

All he mention above I could delete without rupercussion, one thing however is a bit annoying. I delete the stock messaging apps and the notification for the go SMS stop working. Need to actually reinstall the messaging apk
Lol FYI I have my phone rooted ages ago

I know but the thing is I've disabled the stock notification and enabled the go sms notification and when I delete it, this happen.
Does anyone know where can I get the stock messaging widget(not app) from? I installed OptimusXrom on my P500 and I don't have it anymore. I using other apps like Handcent or GoSMS but I still like the standard one better...but I don't have the widget anymore.
Use Go Sms(Medium) widget instead. It's same as stock messaging widget.
I said that I don't like GOSms...

I'm looking for a way to password protect an app. Preferably a method that requires root (instead of just downloading an app that does that. Because you can just delete the app and the password's gone).
Any way? If not, then the best app.

I found an app on google play, its called: Smart App Protector, I don't know for any root - based locks

App Lock
I use App Lock,
beside the apps I want to protect, I also locked System Setting and Play Store so no one without password can uninstall/install application.
@Buddy39914
I use Hide It Pro to protect all my applications and files.
It might not put password in every applications or files you have but I tell you, Hide It Pro does more on it. search it on Google Play Store and have a try, read some comments over there to give you an insight.
Goodluck
Hi guys, I have Easy Phone Sync app installed and set up to sync my itunes playlists. However on my phones notification menu, it stays there and I can't get rid of it (ongoing). Does anyone know how to remove?
It's not a big deal but would be nice if it can be removed! Thanks in advance

Hi I had this problem too and it is slightly annoying. To fix this, go to settings, application manager, running, select Easy Phone Sync, then click Stop.
This worked for me and if you need to use it again, then open the app and it will start running again.
Hope this helps :fingers-crossed:
Try to use SyncMe Wireless app instead. This app lets you sync any folder or even your whole sdcard (internal and/or external) between your phone and PC
We all know about cyanogen mod. This rom has a feature that allows a user to hide their apps from app drawer. So,is that possible to make a standalone app of this (that app will help to hide any apps from app drawer) from cyanogen mod?
Custom launchers often have this feature, you can find them in the play store.
No
