[Q] Transfer test messages from Windows Mobile 6.1 to Symbian^3 - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

Hi,
I just got Nokia E7 and I need to transfer text messages from my old HTC Diamond.
Now I found dozens of ways to export messages from WM in various fomrats but only one to import them to Nokia E7 - through Ovi Suite. The problem is that Ovi Suite requires very specifically formated csv.
Do you know of any app, that would be able to export the messages form a WM device in Ovi compliant csv? Or any converter which would convert output from a different WM backup software to such csv? Or any other way to transfer those messages?
Thanks for your help.

This may be a stupid question from a noob...
Hi everyone. I've recently owned an XDA Exec PPC device (which is very marvelous by the way) and I'm trying to synchronize it with my Vista Ultimate computer. I haven't installed anything on my computer and and that I should download a Windows Mobile Device Center ver 6.1 instead of installing ActiveSync. I've already followed the instructions on the site and my device is able to "successfully connect" with my computer. However it didn't "synchronize" my data.
My question now is... if it successfully connected with my computer, why does my device or the computer have the same data? I've checked the Windows Calendar and the Windows Contacts and it still doesn't show any changes. Could it be a problem with my computer? Or on my device?
I've read some article somewhere that ActiveSync should still be used even though there is already a Windows Mobile Device Center as this compliments it. Is this true? Should I need to download ActiveSync?
Thanks for you time guys. I hope you can help me out.

Mobile device center replaces activesync. You cannot use activesync under vista (and you cannot use mdc under XP)
Thanks for the response
@ Doodle
Thank you for your response . Yes you are correct on that. My question now is where can I find the data the I have synchronize between my XDA device and computer? I've checked both Windows Calendar and Contacts and it doesn't seem to have transferred the data although the connections are okay. This also goes to the device. Please help.
Cheerios,
P.S.
I've already establish the connections (e.g. Contacts, Tasks, Calendar, etc.) on the MDC 6.1.

You've just missed the most important step, buy MS Outlook in order to show your syncronized data.
Thanks!
@ Cayotte,
Thank you very much for your response. I was assuming that MS would use the default Calendar and Contact applications on Vista for the WMDC. I've successfully synchronize my device and Outlook '07.
To Doodle and Cayotte, thanks again guys for all your help. I really appreciate it.
Cheerios,
Quick question:
with the new program, will Notes on the WM6 device sync and install notes on the desktop Outlook program?

Transfer Outlook settings -> Polaris

Hi folks, need some help here... Not sure if this is the right place though
I have a company provided HTC S740 with Outlook sync to the Exchange Server at work. I also have a private Polaris currently running on the M-Anime 2.0 which I would like to use instead of the S740. Rather touchscreen than keyboard for me...
Does anybody know if it is possible to transfer the Outlook logon settings so I can port it over to the Polaris? Both phones are set up with WM 6.1. I haven't been able to find any good solution so far unfortunately. I have however managed to back up the S740 and transfer all the data onto the Polaris which worked, but it messed up the system a bit so I wasn't able to write or make any new mails/sms on the Polaris.
Any clues on what I would need to do? No, IT would not help me, already tried that
Thanks a bunch in advance!

I know I'm digging out a corpse here but I faced the same problem quite recently and there is a way: VMG Converter.
It's available through Google Play though due to recent ****ty change of Google policy you have to contact the developer to actually get a version that supports MMS transfer
Maybe someone will find it useful.

[Q] How to import messages from Nokia 5130 inbox.

Hi Guys, just bought the LG P500 and this being my first Android phone I'm all excited. I just wanted to know how to import all the messages from the inbox of my old phone (Nokia 5130) to this one. I tried to export the messages in .csv format from Nokia pc suite and tried to import it via LG pc suite but it keeps saying import failed. Anyone has any idea how to solve the issue?
Still waiting for any help guys...
Search for csv apps on the market or copy the messages to the SIM card.
It's been a while and I don't remember exactly how I did it but I used Microsoft Outlook. Google it, you should get a lot of hits.
Thanks guys for showing interest and helping me out. I did find a way to do it and it is quite simple. Just google this - "435293-how-import-messages-nokia-5130-inbox" and follow the steps. Sorry I wasn't allowed to paste the exact web address here.
This is a ready reckoner for all those who are looking to restore their messages into their new device. Any information spread wisely only helps people. So let's keep it that way, thanks to all.

SMS Text Messages Transfer from Android to Windows Phone

I know there is no easy, i kept searching for days.
But what i know is that Nokia has an app, called Transfer my Data, from which you can transfer Contacts and Text Messages. The trick is that Nokia supports transfering Text Messages only from some Nokia Symbian devices, like the C-3 (saw it in the screenshots of the app in MStore).
So, for now, i imagine the way to transfer text messages from Android to Windows Phone is through a Nokia Phone. But I'm still searching for a way to transfer messages from an Android to a Symbian/Nokia device, and I keep bumping into viceversa procedures.
So this is the purpose of the topic. Let's try to find together a way of transfering messages from an Android Device to a Symbian/Nokia device.
For starters, i found this topic:

straight to the point :good:
I faced the same problem. Is there any new solutions ?
Intersting, if it is posable to download Symbian s60 3.2 emulator on PC, import SMS to that emulator and then transfer all via bluetooth to WP using Nokia Transfer My Data app.
Transfer My Data supports SMS transfer for several phones
The way the messaging and mail client works on the Lumia does not allow for message import or export and since you can't access system folders with a file browser there is no way to force them either. With the Lumia you are out of luck with this venture.
Currently you can't do that.
