Yes. Don't think it can restore widgets though.
You can save screen layouts in 3rd party launchers (ie GoLauncher, LPP, etc)

Nandroid back up first! but im curious to see if that will work
When I use widget locker it doesn't bring the sense 3.0 lock screen.

There's an app for that...
it's called NO LOCK in the market. I use it and go back and forth between the lock screen and then no lock when I want to eliminate it.

YOU complete me. Thank you.
I've been pretty much flashing "a rom a day" and re aligning my pages and widgets is getting rather annoying. I wonder if there is an app that would backup the desktop layout for this rom. So far it looks like I'll be sticking with InfectedRom.
2nd Question: How do I change the default caller ID picture?
thanks
Adw ex has a backup desktop option. I use it all the time when I flash roms.

To change the picture go to People(app)>[person name]>Menu button>Edit Contact>
Then you will see on the contact's picture icon at the top left of the edit screen there is a small arrow next to the picture. Press on the picture and a "select contact photo" window will pop up, with the choices to set the contact picture from Gallery, Camera, Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Did you have any luck finding an app that will backup your page settings, for example widgets, shortcuts, etc..

Where? I cannot find this feature (yes I have the paid version). Thanks.

Yes, same here. I have a paid copy of TiBu, but don't see anything called Backup Desktop Layout, or anything like that.
EDIT:
Found the TouchWiz Home system app in TiBu and it did backup my pages and icons, but not widgets. Can't backup TouchWiz widgets at all I am seeing. A slight annoyance, but I'll get over it and check out launchers. From what I have read, replacing your default stock launch does not put another layer over the UI. It replaces it! So, it should not cost extra memory, battery, etc..
You can also use Nova Launcher (Prime), which imports the layout of your own launcher, and then you can back it up.
Still the best launcher imo.
Thanks, I am checking out the free version now. And also that ADW one as well.
I did find out that I can backup the TouchWiz Home system app in TiBu and it will restore the pages and icons, but not the widgets.
+1 on Nova Launcher Prime
backs up widgets too

Without prime, u can't back up ?
I bought nova prime on sale and use nova now, without knowing the limitations
Yes, the backup, restore is superb
The importing from other launchers too
And widget restorations
And lastly, decent customization

Hi there, I was wondering if there is any way to make the Blur home screen rotate without having to instal any third party apps.
Can someone help?
Basically, I wanted to make everything rotate to landscape, homescreen, phone, contacts, since some of those don't rotate unless you force it with third party apps.
Thanks in advance!
Does 3rd party apps also cover Nova Launcher? On settings I can get all screens to rotate.

Maybe some dev could port some system apps from droid 4, as the actual screen resolution and hardware is more or less the same

Pretty sure you can edit your build.prop to do this...could be wrong.

Any devs around? would appreciate...
Blur doesn't rotate and devs will probably not use this in a rom.
Cheers

Found another app, the best one so far. I guess that the file we need should be in that app, but since I'm not a dev, i don't dare to try it.
The app is called Set Orientation, and it allows you to force auto orientation even on those apps that don't rotate, like homescreen and dialer.
The best of all, it's a free app.
Is it possible to save TWiz launcher screens (other than saving via nandroid)
My first screen was perfect tgen I went to a new rom and started all over again.
I have read it "could " be dine via tibu but I have looked in every crevis of that app and nothing I cant seem to find how or where I ciuld via tibu
Thanks

Depends how you made the screen. If you used like uccw and stuff, just make a tb and restore the apps plus data.

Yes, use tb.
Each time you want a new theme, use a new tb
I have like 3 or 4 themes I switch back and forth between this way.

if you dont know what UCCW is then it doesnt matter. but TB means titanium backup.its an app that serves many purposes, one of which is different types of backups.

So, my question is pretty simple. I've been searching around and haven't seen the answer. Here it is-
I'm using a custom ROM that comes with Nova Launcher. Will I need to remove this to use Themer, or can I just download Themer and use it without issue?
Thanks in advance for all replies to this noob question.
Themer is a launcher so u can use both.

Thanks man... But there is really no point in having both, correct?

There is no need to have both, but there is one thing you must take into account. Nova might still run in the background while you're using Themer, therefore make sure that it's been stopped in your Apps settings menu to prevent severe battery drainage.
Themer is a launcher so u can use both.
