Music Plays on its own when connected to car bluetooth - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've got an inbuilt bluetooth in my car and each time I choose for media sound to play through to my car audio, such as GPS app, it plays my music. Each time I pause, in a few seconds, it plays again.
Anyone have this problem and if so, is there a way to stop this?

Are you using the stock music app or do you have a 3rd party one installed?
If the latter, check you don't have a "resume on headset reconnet" option turned on.

Thanks knight. I'm using the default Music app.

Still no luck? Knight suggestions didn't work.

Notification sounds using stereo Bluetooth on STOCK Rom

Hi,
In new gingerbread update when I am in my car using my mw600 as handsfree, I get a call BUT the earpeice is not in my ear. With the mobile not being in my immediate view I can't tell that there is a call.
Why? Coz the phone speaker doesn't ring when connected to stereo Bluetooth. This is since the gingerbread update on x10.
I tried cm7 by z and its a great Rom, also more importantly in regards to the above issue there is also a section in cyanogen mod settings which allows notification sounds to be played through phone speaker. I couldn't stay on this Rom because I wanted the stock SE camera.
My question is simple:
Can the stock Rom have any sort of tweaks to allow sound to be redirected to speaker when in handsfree mode?
Suggestions or point to any useful threads please.

Is that stereo Bluetooth? i.e using Bluetooth headset such as mw600? Also if u r using car Bluetooth, can you play music via car speakers from phone? If not then your scenario would be different to mine.
Also I must point that this is not a bug on my phone as I have experienced this with several installations of stock Rom.

Playing music through bluetooth?

I've read a few threads where People are playing their music and sounds thru Bluetooth. I've tired changing the output in the stock music app, but it doesn't stick, the sound still comes out of the phone speakers. I don't see anything Under settings. Am i missing something?

Are you already paired with the BT device?
What ROM are you running, there is a known bug in the currant ICS releases.
Matt
I'm paired, calls work fine. I'm running GB, clean rom 1.6.5 sp1. I haven't tried an ICS ROM yet.

I remember having selected output at some point when I was getting it going. Now it selects it on its own. So when I connect in the car and it's paired it automatically plays the music through the car stereo, when it's not paire it plays through the phone speakers. Of course, I do have to select BT for my music input in the car. Could it be as simple as having overlooked that option on the paired device?
Pairing for phone and pairing for audio are two separate things. Make sure you are paired for audio.

Yeah... that's it. I had to also connect the phone as a portable music player for the car in addition to pairing it.
I'm using btmono by bedoig from the marketplace. I use the free version and it works great on infellibis 1.1.

What are you trying to push music too? Whatever it is, it must support A2DP.
I have a Sony BT head in my truck and stream Pandora from my phone to it. I also have a set of BT stereo over the ear headphones. Both devices boost the Rez's music stream...fantastic audio quality.
Check out "btmono" on the market....it might work for you.

Beats audio not working???

So after reading some posts I see that there is supposed to be a red B in the task bar when playing music to signify beats audio is working... Well I have never seen this no matter what song I play or what music player I use. Any suggestions on why it's not working???

Only when the Audio Jack is in play. (I.e. earbuds, car, Bluetooth headphones)

It only shows when you have an audio output device connected, like headphones or Bluetooth devices.

I have a different device but I figure it may apply to beats in general. Mine just plain doesn't work. It's installed, I tried a redownload and reflash and it doesn't work at all. There's no icon, and when I change settings the sound doesn't do so.

Anyone have this issue?

Nevermind. I fixed it. The auto haptic was causing poweramp to make the phone vibrates.

Bluetooth audio settings

Currently using rooted s3 with aokp jb with siyah 1.8.with stweaks, and playing with the audio settings whilst playing music streaming over Bluetooth to my Bose soundlink, I cannot notice any difference?
I've since found out Bluetooth bypasses the dac, so doesn't effect it, how do I manage them to have an effect over Bluetooth?
Cheers in advance.

Are you streaming bluetooth audio through a headset or to a pc ? If there is a option .. does changes you apply from the recipent bluetooth device affect the audio ? O:
It's streaming to a Bose Soundlink speaker. It's got no options to set sound on it.
It needs to be done on device streaming the music... bah.

Did you try connecting directly through a cable or something ?
Maybe the application only applies effect on the device and it doesn't change the orginal defaults of the music .
Yeah, it's because Bluetooth streamed music bypasses any dac within the kernel unlike headphones or speaker on phone.
I was hoping there may be an app which can intercept the Bluetooth transmission and amend with audio presets.
