Hi everyone!
Just here to ask: is it possible to have the Samsung' Smart Dialer on our O1?
Since the resolution are different, it must be resized, right?
I'm asking that because I really like its big numbers
Thanks in advance

No... We need to port tw-framework-res.apk.... Is kinda hard...
what is the samsung smart dialer? does it mean the small list of contacts in the
dialer window?
Maybe I have explained that wrong: I would like to change even only the numeric keypad to have one like this

Just because it'd really better than the stock one of mik's cm7
Even if someone of you know a app with the right skin to apply, it could be a workaround

This can be done by plain theming... decompile phone.apk and replace the pngz..

Hi there,
Terribly n00bish question, I am aware of this, but I couldn't find anything around.
How hard would it be to port the stock GB theme to the Arc? I love it to bits but the blue app background kinda ruins having any theme other than a blue one, and looks messier than the normal black background.
I know I'm being picky but it seems something that may go down well. Even better would be a port of the blue GB themes so you have the clean look of GB but consistency with the SE apps.
I'm pathetic at Android development so I will gladly help in any way I can, but as it is, I'm hopeless at it so doing it myself is a lost cause >.<
Read here...
Talking about stock theme,
Also has anyone noticed that the connection does not change color when IE: from white to green, when connected to google services,
After all this is gingerbread
Also anyone tried this yet

Did you only change that battery ?
Did you upload your framework-res.apk or another file ?
Also how did you flash it, or did you just replace the framework-res.apk in /system/app/
Questions i know, but dont really fancy a boot loop lol
Is it possible to use this to build up a stock theme or is it only certain mods that it can do?
Well...if its something I (and many people) dont like of MIUI its that there is no appdrawer.
The solution all give me its to put all the apps in a folder and use it like a drawer...but its not the solution for me.

I wonder if someone can edit the launcher1.apk to do this:
This:
Or maybe this:
I cant decompile the apk...so I cant do nothing...please help me....
As far as I know all MIUI code is closed source therefore I'm afraid it's not possible to decompile and make it work. I'm also one of those guys which miss the app drawer, that's why I've installed a different launcher (ADW).

It's evolving rapidly - another new version out today - so might be worth trying again. It works great on my HTC Desire, first open takes about about 3 seconds, after that it's instantaneous. And you can just drag and drop it onto the dock. It's what makes MIUI work for me.
Hello!
Is there ay possibilities to customize the stock caller screen (on Oxygen 2.2.2).
E.g.: changing the background from the greyish black to the current wallpaper?
Or replace it with the something like in MIUI?
Thanks!
Yes, install a custom rom

Well, guess what, I have a custom ROM.
You should've read my post before replying.
I mean from this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
to this:
I know i checked out a program called Full Screen Caller ID, and that changed the calling screen. It (like the name says) made the contact picture full screen. Unfortunatly it acted weird, so i removed it.
But if that exists, something you want must exist to on the app market?
I tried that well, but I don't want to have full screen IDs.
Probably Themers will know what to change and where - probably something in one of the .xmls
any update on this?
did you ever find a way to customize call screen. I am looking specifically for a way to input other than just keypad while in a call. Even just paste would be good enough, but input from contacts would be great. I have tried HD callscreen, which can certainly modify the call screen, but it does not have any input options.
Hello people!! I want some help on theming my frameork-res.apk. I've done almost all things to look it like that of ICS, but now, the only thing I am stuck at is the Text Color of the Title of a dialog. I want to change it to blue like that of ICS.
I am talking about this:-
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The above is the Dialog of the ICS Rom. Here, the text color of the Title of dialog is Blue. My framework-res.apk is from FroYo, so the Title text color of dialog is white there. This is thing I want to change.
I know that it's in values/styles.xml, but which style inside it?? I see "Theme.Dialog" inside it, there are the following lines:-
Which thing under this I need to modify?? Is that @style/TextAppearance" or "@color/primary_text_dark/light", etc.???
Pleeease Help Me!!! I am struggling since a week for this!! ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!!!
windowTitleStyle looks promising (if not, you'll need to probe one by one )

I tried it!! It's linked to style-- DialogWindowStyle.
There's a color for text appearance in this style. I changed this color to Blue like ICS. BUT DON'T KNOW WHY, IT DOESN'T WORK!!

Have you checked the settings apk? I have found sometimes things are set there instead of reffering to the stock framework. Mainly with the huge diff in froyo and ICS theming set up
Hello, Since i have an android device and tried some roms for this device (HTC One S)and its dissapointing to see that landscape mode is so lacking in the space that could have been used in messaging apps.
Its quite annoying (for me atleast) to have to withdraw my keyboard whilst typing something because the one i am texting with has sent something new.
I understand that this is not a place for requests, so my question is, is there any way to make messaging look like this (this image is not real)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and not like this..
Im not looking for a specific rom that allows this, im just looking for anything that makes this possible on any rom.
Thanks in advance!
Go keyboard does this, assuming you're willing to use it.
Also, is that the default ICS keyboard? I like the design.

Yeah it is the Stock ICS keyboard, its the best keyboard out there imo
And Thanks, i'll have a look into that Go Keyboard and see if i am willing to use it.
On a sidenote, isn't it kind of odd that this relies on what keyboard you use rather than using whatever keyboard you like and being able to do this ?
There are some of those keyboards where they divide on both sides, those may be something you want to look into
