Dont see any problem with it, but it's a lot better using the DSP manager.

The quality is awsome i personally think as with most Saumsungs, both with headphones & the built in speaker are greate, However as stated above i think its even better 10/10 if you use the DSP manager.

i have DSP Manager bundled with Omega Black/Blue ICS...
Beats audio is only well integrated with HTC phones.
Even in the resurrection rom it doesnt really enhance quality.
Its just placebo effect. The max that you can do is get dsp manager thats all!

That's not true!
The Galaxy S2 has, in fact, terrible audio quality. This is due to poor quality hardware components (namely the Yamaha DAC).
There are two things you can do.
You can follow the advice of Kaffee4Eck and use voodoo louder, what won't help THAT much. Or you can get an external DAC (like the FiiO E7). This will give you superb sound quality, that no iPhone or HTC will get close to. However, you'll have to stick with CyanogenMod for it to work, it's less portable, because you'll have an additional device in your pocket and I'm not sure if you'll be pleased with it. I'm not sure because:
a) you've got beats and
b) you say that the problem is that they aren't "booming" like on you HTC.
I don't know you, so I can't tell, but too me it looks like you don't like sound quality, but pure bass. I cannot tell if the FiiO is good for that kind of job.
Thanks for advice Sniper i dont fancy paying £60 for additional device was hoping that there would have been a software mod worth trying

As mentioned earlier, voodoo louder. You just need the app on a compatible kernel.
The most importent thing - speakers. I love the original Samsung headphones!

Just gotta ask:
Have you ever used "real" headphones?
My phone good audio quality stock rom and any other rom .
Samsung stock phones .
Sound level on stock over 50% is to high .
Slight addition to a better quality is Volume Plus free old version app and a pair of
ViSang R02 in ear buds .
jje
Try them until you find one that works and meets your audio needs

After reading loads. I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the mods and stuff.
So can anyone examination what's the best way to make the sound quality better?
There's loads of bits from the voodoo side of things or the beats audio I'm not sure..
However I am a audiophile and would like the best sound and also more volume.
Thanks in advance

Voodoo Louder will give you up to 6dB more volume with headphones/headset, Voodoo Sound doesn't work with SGS2 as the Yamaha DAC isn't compatible with it. Best bet is to get a decent audio app with EQ/bass boost/widening/etc.
Other than that, a decent set of headphones/canalphones should make the sound 'acceptable' tho not as good as a phone with a Wolfson DAC like the Galaxy S (or so people say).
try some pro headphones
use voodoo louder
use dsp manager
I'll be buying voodoo louder tomorrow. I test the quality on a pair of sennheiser HD650s into a Neco Soundlab custom headphone amp so there's no issues there. :-D
So I take it that the beats audio mods don't work at all?

Some say Beats works well while others say it makes no difference at all. Could be a placebo effect but not sure. Read the Beats thread here on XDA's Gslaxy S2 forums or make a backup and then try for yourself

+1 for PowerAmp in terms of best audio quality. Better than the other apps I've tried. Also using Voodoo Louder which does not affect quality but does increase volume in headphones by 1.5, 3.0, or 6.0 decibels.

Ok this is what I'm doing. On my neat rom I have installed beats audio and so far WOW I can actually hear the sound stage and the bass is way better. I will buy voodoo louder tomorrow and put it on the resurrection remix rom and see if I can indeed hear the difference.

Ok so I've ended up putting both voodoo louder and beats on both roms and they both compliment each other and now the music is amazing! So if you want good sound quality do that. It works for me

Meh I don't touch EQs or dsps because all your doing is coloring the audio I've found with beats and voodoo louder and my sennheiser mx500s when I'm out or HD650s when I'm indoors both are excellent

I have a marketing slogan for Beats audio:-

Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
I use Beats, PowerAmp ( Flat EQ settings ), and extweaks ( to jack up the db on the headphone socket same process as vodoo louder I guess) and a pair of Sennheiser IE8 earphones which has a very nice 16ohm Independence

Questions should be asked in Q&A forums, not Development forums.

The difference between the two not heard on speaker phone but with good headphones:
Bass and effects a bit more efficient.

I'm running 'The Collective' AoCP ROM on the Samsung G-Note with Beats Wireless headphones. The difference between the ABv3 software and the regular DSP manager is like night and day. The regular DSP manager couldn't utilize the headphones' true potential. Tight punchy bass, distinct mids, and crisp highs. It's a much welcomed enhancement to my listening pleasure. :good::good:

Just a hint: Beats is far from being "awesome", it´s just a marketing gag (at least imao ). Search for DSP Manager instead (and start using PowerAmp and its EQ).

Beats + the bundled earbuds that came with the phone = audio heaven... //end sarcasm
Yeah Beats is awful, please don't buy into that hype. Learn to tweak an EQ to your liking instead. And get headphones that accurately reproduce sound (no, not the Beats headphones...)

Here
Itvworks perfectly with galaxy s, s 2, s 3, and note 1 so it should work with note 2 definitely
It has dsp manager included
Btw awesome beats works with Note II...just checked
As an audiophile with Sennheiser HD650's, I can say that Beats are just a gimmick for 'bass' heads who'd prefer to have their ear drums perforated than have perfect sound reproduction. Now, just waiting for Voodoo and my Note 2 will be complete.
