Guyz,
I am facing a strange problem with SXS. My SXS works normally during the day time or when its in use till night till i go to bed. After i went to bed and woke up in the morning if somebody tries to call me they get message that my phone is off, if they try to text me it doesn't come to me and shows in pending to sender. At the sametime it shows me good network and no errors on screen or for signal.
I have tested it myself for past two days when i wokeup and instead touching my SXS i tried calling from my different phone and i got message saying its Switched off. then if i try to send text or try to make call everything starts to work normal.
At night i am keeping data, wifi, bluetoot off and screen to min. Is anybody else saw this behavior or facing this strange issue. Any remedies you guyz can suggest.
Btw i am on .75 stock rom, unrooted. Please help!!!
Maybe an app you installed have timer or something....
Try factory reset.

I have Profile scheduler installed but even after immediate change in profile there is no change. I mean today only i have waited to see what happens when the profile change at say 9:00 am in morning but no difference still its saying switched off. And when i sent an sms to friend everything starts to work normal.
Only an app can do this.
You have to try factory reset first.

i have this problem too (croatia, t mobile, sim unlocked)
also one guy in USA...
this may be factory fault..
Screen wakes up intermittently. Specifically when an operation is done and the phone goes to sleep it intermittently wakes up for a couple of annoying times, then it goes normal, and out of nowhere it starts to wake up. I am on stock ROM and Kernel. Please shed some light on this.
Boot your phone in safe mode and check if the proplem persists. Maybe some app wakes your phone.

How to goto the Safe mode in Samsung Galaxy S3*(all other Samsung Android phones should work in the same fashion)
Switch off your phone completely switch it on using power button once you see Samsung Logo on screen start hitting the left capacitive touch button i.e. Menu button.
You will see your device will boot in Safe mode and Safe mode will be watermarked on the left bottom of the screen. None of your downloaded application will be available in application menu.
How to get out of Safe mode in Galaxy S3Simple reboot the device.

Okay, here is my conclusion after a day and a half observation:
By curiosity I restarted the phone using power button. Since then that phenomena started to occur. Woke up whenever went to sleep for a couple of annoying times then a break and then a few more wake-up within next 7 to 15 minutes. The following morning I decided to restart the phone again using the power button and since then till now No Intermittent waking up.
It may or may not sound funny but I think the restarting-the-phone-using-power-button had caused that problem in my case. My precious is now absolutely fine since yesterday provided that during this entire happening I did not install any new application or make a tweak in settings.
Same here.I'm experiencing the same problems with the screen just waking up on it own.I thought it something to do with still being connected to the inherent.but turned out it wasn't.plus I've restarted the phone loads and it still happens every now again.........
So if any one could help or no the course.many thanks

same here.. in other topic i was suggested to remove live wallpaper.. i'll try that but i don't know yet if that's the problem..
I noticed that his happens when I turned of my phone screen and immediately place my phone on some NFC enabled cards. Seems that the phone is trying to read it and turned the screen on. Not sure if this is the case for you.
I though of that but i turned my nfc off and checked for any possible sources of nfc chips.. but it was not the case..
Anyone found a solution to this problem? i made a quick google search and i found some people having the same problem but no "solution" :crying::crying:
Is the problem gone in safe mode?

I dunno for sure. But clearing memory from task manager works for me with this one

This problem is usually caused by a rogue app for me I had two such apps, one of them was the checkfus app and cloud music downloader app the problem only stopped when I uninstalled the apps.

You could try AirPush Detector from market to detect this type of malware apps.
i9.0.1.3k galaxy imperator
this actually was for my gf phone and it seams to be working now after uninstalling a live wallpaper..
strangely enough my htc one x started doing the same last night.. as i didn't installed anything new in the last couple of days i was surprised but then i remembered that i had just rebooted my phone.. so it had to be something that was started during this reboot.. so uninstalled the most recent 3 apps, kept the same but, after another reboot, it stopped.. (i had alreday rebooted a few times after having the problem and before uninstalling those apps and it kept happening)
Android 4.3 wake up bug
My phone just started doing this wonderful bug. My phone dropped from 98% battery to 70% within an hour because of waking up every few minutes.
I tried booting in "Safe Mode" and that seemed to work as per this thread. When I rebooted in normal mode, the problem returned. I then clear my RAM using the Task Manager. So far after about an hour it seems to have fixed the problem.
Clearing the RAM seemed to fix the problem until I unlocked the phone. Now I have to clear the RAM every single time I want to lock the phone. I now HATE this phone. Thanks Verizon!
My only glitch so far has been a volume problem...
Sometimes, especially after Netflix or YouTube, my media volume, and sometimes others, will be stuck on silent. Using the volume buttons won't work. Trying to change it in settings won't work. The only thing I've found is to either reenter the app and exit, or reboot the phone.
Is anyone experiencing this? If so, am I missing something or is it really a glitch?

I had this problem last night, only ringer volume wouldnt move until a reboot. I actually noticed too that audio through the headphones was beyond plss poor until I rebooted the first time. Since then, pretty good. Strange

great, i thought it was just mine. at least a reboot fixes it - but really annoying though.
same issue -- media volume stuck -- note 2 -- verizon
I have been experiencing the same issue as described by others above. Galaxy note 2, Verizon. It seems to be associated with use of the headphone jack while also running audio-related apps (music streaming).
Unfreeze volume without reset
Same issue on Note 2 at&t. Happens when the phone goes from mute to unmute I find. I was able to unfreeze it by holding down the home button until the shortcut menu pops up, the go to the pie chart icon on the bottom left of the screen, then go to the RAM tab and hit clear memory. It worked for me when I just tried it and it is quicker than resetting the phone.
Since 2 days my S3 sometimes doesn't turn on at all, or turns on at lockscreen and doesn't respond. It freezes
If I wait about 10 minutes, it reboots itself. Only other option is keeping power button pressed till it reboots.
It is a GT-I9300, running on latest stock dutch firmware: buildnr JZO54K.I9300XXELLA baseband I9300CEELL1
It doesn't freeze while using, it is a bit unresponsive sometimes.
When I keep turning on and off, it keeps working fine.
It happens about 4-5 times a day, after not being used for at least 15 minutes.
I am wondering it could be an app causing this?
I haven't installed new apps, but there was a update of Whatsapp I did install.
Should I flash the MB5 firmware? or just factory reset?
Reinstalled whatsapp, 1 day no problem, but today it starts all over.
This evening my s3 rebooted by itself and an hour later, it was stuck again, black screen, didnt turn on...

Has anyone any clue?
It sometimes reboots itself, sometimes my screen doesn't turn on, until I reboot.
Never freezes while using.

AW: [Q] stuck at lockscreen/ black screen
Boot up in safe mode and uninstall whatsapp. Then report if the issues still remain
|| Typed with my S4 Octa-Beast or my Note 10.1 ||
I tried, removed whatsapp again, and installed latest update.
Yes there is already a new update of whatsapp.
No luck so far...
