[Q] Assistance Needed "Gurus" - Sony Xperia X10i Boot Issue - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Gurus - Need Help I am Miserable without the Phone Working. I am a Novice.
I searched all the Posts and Threads since last 2 Days still unable to Boot my Phone. I will give step by step details of what all I tried.
I was on Android 2.1 and it was working all fine till I tried to Root, Flash and Tried to Upgrade to Gingerbread platform.
I have tried virtually all the Links and suggestions from the Forum.
Step 1: Used "FlashTool_0.2.9.1-GBready_root_xRec" for Rooting and Flashing the phone as per the Instructions. Since it was my first time ever I was very careful and read everything a number of times before trying.
Things worked fine till here.
Step 2: Tried the "Zigzag(2.3.5): http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1226770 Latest Ver: RC 9, 20/08" ROM as per the instructions. Problem started from here.
Step 3 : Phone got this Gingerbread Update but was not recognizing the SIM Card. I searched and found out it was because of the "Baseband" Issue. I was getting the Baseband as Unknown.
Step 4 : Tried the suggestion from forum to take out the SD Card and Rest the Phone to Factory settings. It did not work.
Step 5: Tried flashing the Baseband to the Compatible Version. Flashing sis not succeed.
Step 6: Tried "Ultima: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1214768 Latest Ver: 28/08". Thinking may be the ROM was not compatible with my phone. Followed all the steps of Flashing. Still the same Issue. SIM not recognised.
Step 7: Tried flashing as per the first step to Downgrade. It did not work.
Step 8: While trying the various steps, unfortunately clicked on Clean button. It cleaned everything from the SD card as well I guess.
After that nothing worked. My phone is stuck at Sony Ericsson Text. It is continuosly rebooting and flashing the White Light on LED and then reboots. The only way to stop it is to Take out the Battery. When tried to boot with back button pressed on it does show the Grren Light on LED. Tried to use Sony Update service and Latest Sony Erricsson PC Companion to do an Update and Repair. Nothing is working for me. Found a link for manual flashing using the Batch files. It is giving the error as per the Attached Screen Shot.
Gurus need your Urgent help. I am not sure what is the status of the Battery now. When I try to Charge the Phone the same Boot sequence persists.
Help will be Highly Appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

X10 loop problem

Hi,
I've already read a number of threads both on this forum and others, but need someone to point me in the right direction.
I recently installed Chewitts Dark theme and all was well, at this stage I became over confident and tried to install final simple theme also from this forum and this is where my problems started.
Once the simple theme had completed my phone started to a boot loop and i was gutted. I then tried PC suite and nothing, then after some reading I tried SEUS and it does not recognise my phone.
I can now get PC suite to recognise the phone, however it asks me to mount the SD card, which I can't do as the phone screen show a battery symbol with a flash through it.
I've found the following threads,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683793 (seems complicated)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=776278 (seems simple)
but need help, I need something like an idiots guide please.....
what can I try next?

Fingers crossed I've sorted the problem..
Took the Sim and SD card out and tried SEUS again, this time it worked and only gave me the option to update software. I've just finished and all seems well.
Now i need to root and try and install another theme....
Thanks to all who have contributed to a number of threads on here....only by reading most of the comments was I able to solve my problem....

If anyone bricks their phone this does work. I picked the wrong flash last night and it looped my phone and removed Xrecovery. Tried Seus with sdcard installed still looped. Removed sdcard and tried again. Works perfectly. Seus installed 2.1 generic.
Close call. Don't try to flash phone after working 14hr days. Lesson learned.

[Q] 3 Step Root Help

I have been trying the 3 step root for a good while now, and after everything is pushed to the phone, it tells me to "choose the bootloader option and press power........" if you did it this way you know what im talking about. Anyway, my phone never boots into bootloader. In all but two times of trying it has stayed at my normal homescreen. when i finally get to the boootloader, a very rare occurrance, i press power, let the rom flash, and when it should ask me to update, it gives me the attached picture. Its so frustrating because I'm a noob. please help!
I didn't use Easyroot but from what I've read you need to follow the instructions in that pdf file I linked you exactly. Apparently some steps may need to be repeated multiple times.
This user had the same warning as you after the OTA and said he got it working by just following the instructions and performing steps until it worked.

I've tried it over and over again, and typically got no result, but thanks for leading me in the right direction. I'm not running custom firmware... To my knowledge. I'lltry to reinstall everything on the phone and computer that has anything to do with adb like one of the posters said. Again, thanks!

[Q] Xperia Ray locked bootloader, 2.3.4 OTA update bricked phone

Hi guys, I've had a look around for this, but I can only find the solution for bootloaders that are unlocked. I suspect my Ray WASN'T unlocked. I accepted the OTA 2.3.4 update, thinking it would be fine. But the phone now shows the exclamation mark. I can get into both the recovery and fastboot modes (green/blue LED).
None of the recovery solutions are working for me. Is there a way for me to fix this, or will the phone have to go to a Sony Ericsson shop.
The official PC software from SE won't restore it either.
it is wise to go to sony shop , they will fix it
Not sure if this will solve your problem, but it solved mine:
The problem was with the bootloader. So I tried FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick which brings a small firmware information to reset the bootloader.
The problem I was having was to be able to correctly connect the phone to the flash tool. My phone's USB connection was constantly going up and down. So I decided to uninstall all the tools and drivers and install them from scratch.
In short, here's what I did.
Installed Update_Service_Setup-2.11.10.7.exe from sony ericcsson in order to get the USB drivers to work.
Followed the instructions of the Update_Service and flashed the latest update available for my phone (2.3.4). This didn't solve the startup problem, just installed the latest update.
I ran the Update_Service again and restarted the process has if I was going to flash again, but after the Update_Service detected the phone I canceled the installation. (I did this just to make sure the phone was connected in FlashBoot)
Then I installed FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick.exe, opened the folder of the application and ran X10FlashTool.exe
Hit Flash button and the program opens a Firmware Selection window with a preloaded firmware with two reseting contents (loader.sin, preset.ta). Hit OK button and waited until the program indicated the flash process was finished. The process of flashing takes a few minutes and we need to be patient. It might even seem like it's doing nothing but we just have to wait.
After finishing the flash process the program invited me to disconnect the phone and turn it on. I did so and the phone took probably a minute or so to startup. At first I thought it didn't solve the problem, because it was taking so long to start, but it did solve! So I waited patiently and the Sony Ericsson logo showed up giving me a new hope. After that I had to wait another 4 or 5 minutes for the phone to finish applying the new firmware mentioned in point 2. (There's no visual information of the conclusion process so you might wonder the phone might have hung.) Just waited and everything got back to normal with the benefits of the new firmware 2.3.4 (instead of the previous 2.3.3).
I hope it helps someone having the same issue.

[Xperia Mini Pro] Softbrick

Hi All,
Sorry fo my bad english.
I am a dead meat a few days ago as my XMP totally dead.
It was happened when I was trying to flash back my XMP from ICS back to GB when suddenly the USB cable got unplug by accident.
The process went error, and my XMP totally dead. Only vibrates after the power pushed without logo flashing.
I tried to take out the battery, sim card and etc but nothing happened. It able to get into flash mode but not detected by PC.
Find this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1568792 and flashing with Xperia_2011_FreeXperia_ALL.ftf file (running well) but not get my phone back.
Trying to flash again with ICS ftf but also still not working.
So sad, like Milven http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863171.
So I found out the solution (even I do not want to try again if its really the solution) but this is working and get my phone back on with a brand new.
Step:
1. Go to this page http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/
2. Download and install the updater software
3. Once step 1 and 2 done, plug in the phone to PC (flash mode)
4. Run the program from step 1 and follow the instruction to do update on the air.
5. Get your phone back on after all done.
Hope it might help anybody else who face the same problem as mine. :silly:

Flashing problem

Hi hope someone can advise as I'm loosing the will to live
I've a mate 8 NXT-L29C636 which I believe is asia region although I've from the UK
I was running stock android 6 with EMUI 4.0
When I ask it to check for any update, it always came back with no updates.
I saw plenty of threads saying they had updated to android 7 and 8 and how they done it.
So I downloaded Firmware Finder from Google play and without too much difficulty managed to start installing firmware. That's when my problems started
This was two weeks ago and I've been spending 100+ hours trying to recover.
I think it failed a 5% or something and since then my phone will not boot properly.
I can only fastboot it and sometimes to erecovery and EMUI to wipe/factory reset
Searching forums it seems DC Phoenix was the only software that could help so I bought it.
So far I've tried flashing firmware from DC-Unlocker site in standard more but all goes ok with success for all the partitions but it requires the phone to put into upgrade mode, something my phone never does and I can't force it.
So that leaves me with advanced mode, again all successful but booting the phone just gives the huawei logo then reboots again
I've tried different stock roms NXT-L29C636 but they all claim successful but still can't boot my phone
I've followed the steps in DC-Phoenix instructions to no avail.
The last step today meant shorting a pin to ground to force the phone into a mode when it was seen as windows as Huawei USB COM device, which seemed to work.
The instructions claimed I can use any NXT board flash as they're all the same and again all successful i used
NXT-AL10_M00A102_Board Software_Global _Nonspecific_Android 6.0_EMUI 4.0_05021WLB_4.dtwork
but the log file now says build is;
Build number: HLNXTAL10BM00A102
Model: HUAWEI NXT-L29
Battery state: 3249mv
from
Build number: :NXT-L29C432B192
Model: HUAWEI NXT-L29
Battery state: 7035mv
So my question is am I using the wrong firmware? It is always successful so I don't think it's bricked but I can't work out what I'm doing wrong.
Other things to mention is pressing vol - and vol + and power with sd card and dload doesn't work either.
Sorry for long post and thanks for reading
Any help very much appreciated
