Hi,
this is my first thread, but i follow xda since months now. I say hi to all and that you are all great!
I want to share my little experience with a mod (Real ICS) and possibly a bug that i found, i would post it in the official thread but I'm not allowed to.
I can confirm that the installation works fine in my unit (sk17i) with locked bootloader coming from rooted stock ics, with nAa recovery. I follow the instructions, done nandroid backup before, and wipe/format all the partition (system, data, cache, dalvik).
The first boot takes some time (2 to 5 minute) than start sony configuration tool.
All works fine (wifi too) and the battery drain seems like on stock ics, but with all the advantages of the mod. I should say it's only a day i use it, and i still didn't test some functions, but for now all works.
The only thing that seems broken it's the "facebook in xperia" app and i think in consequence the timescape and album apps when i try to open an image from the widget.
To make a long story short, when I try to connect under the xperia menu in preferences, it opens facebook for authorization but close immediately (in stock ics ask confirmation) and in sync menu it remains empty (it should show calendar, contacts and album). I cleaned all the data from the various application and deleted the old app authorization from my facebook account.
In the Timescape widget it connects to the account and shows the links, but when i try to open a link, it opens the album app and then immediately close.
Maybe it is because i had locked bootloader and stock kernel?
It's not a big problem, but if it works it is better
I can do tests if necessary, just tell me what to do.
Sorry for my english, and thanks in advance.
I installed CyanogenMod 9.1 for Xperia U but the WiFi doesn't work, although it shows connected and worked before on the original ICS. I searched for hours in google and found no working solution for this.
Anybody has an idea how to fix it?
I tried reinstalling the ROM from the zip files on sdcard. I tried applying an Xperia Mini WiFi fix for CM 9.1, Xperia P WiFI modules, and that didn't work either.
Odp: CM 9.1 wifi not working, can't find a fix
Try other kernel.

Was your FW 6.1.1.B.1.54 stock or based, before flashing CM?
Did you fastboot the boot.img inside the CM rom before flashing the rom via recovery?
Turns out WiFi works, but not when I'm home anymore - it worked when I was at school. But I didn't change anything about my home Wireless Router. What could be the problem? The phone says it is connected and all, but doesn't open anything as if there was no connection. My phone is the only device that doesn't work with it now. I tried resetting the router, restarting...
It is connected, downloads apps at a speed of about 0.01 MB per minute and I can refresh the weather widget with it, but nothing more. And obviously I am next to the router and signal strength is max.

I had a problem that after several days of normal operation, the wifi would refuse to connect to any AP (weak signal issue)
This is the fix:
1. Turn off the wifi
2. Using a file explorer with root permissions go to /data/misc/dhcp/
3. Delete the files in it
4. Start the wifi again
P.S - I can't write this at the dev's thread (new user) so if anyone can, please write it there. I know other people encountered this problem too (at least on the Sola's thread)

Turn off WiFi in phone? Not the specific WiFi connection of the WiFi router? It still doesn't work - the speed is beyond extreme nano slowness. :s
How useful is an Android without internet? I crazy need to fix this. ;(
Bump.
Deleting dhcp doesnt work.
I found the solution:
Go to the wireless router settings on your PC, find and configure the Mode to be 11b/g, not 11b/g/n. Then it showed 20MHz Channel Width for me.
WiFi worked for me from then on.

My S1 keeps Rebboting it gets to the ui and then after say a minute or 2 it reboots, This can go on all day like today then finaly after 7 hours it stays on, last time it did this i had to do a rcovery.. then everything was fine for 3 weeks or so.
I'm on 4.0.3 r1a Rooted. Is this a Sony s1 problem or a software problem..?
I read this on another forum anyone know if this is the cause.
The problem comes from Google account Because, every time when you restart system, system will automatically check update for android market. and it takes huge system memory, and when memory is minimum, system restart automatically..?
Could this be true as i have a load of apps installed and set to automatically update..?

I suggest you try to back up your stuff(if you have root use Carbon or Titanium) and then try factory reset and see if problem persist. A guy on these forums had a problem where everything was saved to RAM and RAM wasnt freed up after that, leading to constant reboots.
Thanks, i know a Reset Works then it will be fine for a week or 2 then i'd have to do it again, it's getting on my nerves now keep re doing it.
Hello guys, what's up?
This is SO weird but here I am facing a problem in my Galaxy s2, and need your advice.
The whole thing is my Cellular data (Internet of Sim Card) is not working on Browsers(tried stock one+Firefox)+Google products and some other apps, but works on Clash of Clans and aptoide app store. And it works with EVERYTHING when I'm using it as a hotspot, like now I'm connected to my phone internet via wifi and there is literally no problem at all, I even have an android emulator running in background without any problems with Google Play and other stuff so it's basically a problem related to my phone.
Also WiFi itself works fine on phone, when I connect to my cousin wifi home connection, everything works like charm but when I switch back to mobile data....
I don't know what's going on... It suddenly happened on my phone and I didn't install any apps or change the system files.
Things I've done:
1- Wiped /data + /system and factory reset for like a billion time
2- Changed my rom with clean install (Even switched to older CM13 versions to make sure there is nothing wrong with my new roms)
3- Removed battery + tried all of the basic troubleshooting stuff
4- Checked the host file in /System/Etc and there was just: " 127.0.0.1 localhost "
Btw when I open the browser (CM13 stock one), this the exact error I'm getting:
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
What should I do? :crying:
Oops. sorry I forgot to mention, everything works fine when I use VPN. Somehow VPN+Clash of Clans and Aptoide appstore all work but Play store and everything else aren't, seriously what's wrong?
I just removed the host file now and rebooted but it didn't solve the issue
I fixed it!!! Thread needs to be closed
@HutchGuy how did you fix it?
Hey there,
so i just got my SM-P605 with a custom rom from here to Android 7.1.
When it was stock stock everything worked fine but I wanted 7!
I flashed a 5.1.1 Stock Rom(needed the bootloader for twrp) wich I downloaded elswhere and Problems started, at the new setup I wasn't able to login to my google Account and skipped it, my connection to Wifi was stable and the browsers all worked fine except YT and Playstore etc. basicly everything with google.
Then I installed mentioned 7.1 rom and the same problems, I tried deleting installing Play Services, Play store, delete various Caches aswell in TWRP and Time settings set right.
The thing is I get acces to all perks from time to time wich is.... magic ? it is like 15min not possible then 2min everything works just fine ???
When I go to a different Wifi everything works fine 100% of the time no Problems at all.
But the mentioned Problem wifi has 3 other Tablets connected and 2 Smartphones with no Problem at all.
The not working Wifi is via the Win10 Hotspot from my PC and the stable one from my Dorm wich I dont wanna use cause it is very very unstable and slow.... 300-700kb/s compared to 12mb/s from the PC.
I raed alot about People not having a connection on Play store but they all had it permanently and not like mine
Anyone has a guess ?
