[Q] QQ Lockscreen Issues - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have issues with the lockscreen of QQ Launcher. I disabled the stock lockscreen in CM7, and have that one enabled, but whenever I unlock it, it seems to almost always go to either the messaging app, or the camera app, usually the camera app.

[Q] MIUIWiz 1.1 Lockscreen Issues?

My phone reboots everytime I slide the MIUIWiz lockscreen down using the text icon (right most). Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas on how I can fix it?
You probably need to set the messaging app.
In the Settings menu, simply go to TSM Parts -> Lockscreen Settings -> Custom App, and choose the app and you should be good to go You don't have to assign it to a messaging app either; anything you could assign to a homescreen shortcut is possible.

Thanks for the reply! I couldn't get it to display any messaging app in the TSM. I get some apps listed, but not the GOSMS that came with the Rom. The phone slider, music, and lock/unlock work perfectly fine, it's just the messaging.

Any way to replace stock message tab on 4-tab lock screen?

I use go sms instead of the stock text message app, but when I unlock the screen on the 4-tab lock screen it takes me to the stock messenger app. Is there any way to link the go sms app to the lock screen instead of the stock messenger app? I really don't like widgetlocker or any other lockscreen app.
Go to app settings and find the stock messaging app and do clear defaults, then the next time you use the tab to unlock your phone it should ask you to assign a new default.

It says no default set and the button is greyed out so I can't clear anything
Any other suggestions

[Q] Replacing an app with a widget on taskbar

Hello,
I just recently got the GS3(not rooted, stock everything) and was wondering if the apps located on the bottom taskbar and also the apps shortcuts located on the lock screen can be replaced with a widget? The reason I ask is because of the stock messaging app. The one good feature about this app is that on the lock screen it'll let you know how many unread messages you have by showing a number on the icon for the app. However, I'm not a fan of the app itself(regarding how it interprets picture messages) therefore I've installed GO SMS which was my messaging app from my old Incredible. Unfortunately if you replace the stock messaging app with the GO SMS app on the bottom taskbar and lock screen it will not show how many missed messages you have on the GO SMS icon. However, if you just place the GO SMS widget on any screen the widget will show how many missed messages you have. I've tried all options I can think of but when you drag a widget down to the taskbar it won't go in like the app would nor do I have the option of putting a widget on the lock screen(settings/lock screen/lock screen options/shortcuts). Any suggestions or would this require a root?
Thanks
not in the stock launcher or lockscreen.
you can use Nova and widget locker

Default Text App Lock Screen

I have a Verizon RAZR MAXX running the official 4.1.2. I used the system messaging app for a while then went back to handcent. I made sure Handcent was my default messing app, but the lock screen does not change. Still has the system app. I thought maybe it was just the icon, but swiping down does indeed open the system app. Any way to change this or do I have to run a 3rd party lock screen like widget locker?

Disabling stock messaging app will solve this. If you have ROM Tool Pro, you can select and freeze the app. I am sure there would be other ways to do this as well.

The option to disable the stock messaging app is not present in my system settings. I am on the official Verizon OTA. I am also not rooted. Completely bone stock. Except now I am running Widget Locker to have Handcent as my messaging app. Although the strange thing is I just set the SMS action on widget locker and it opens Handcent. So handcent is the default messaging app.

[Q] Replacing camera on lockscreen? (Xperia)

I have this Xperia Z with 4.3, which has a feature built into the lockscreen that allows me to quickly start the camera. I have a dislike for the stock sony camera app but when lauching it thu the lockscreen it disregards the pattern lock, etc.
If I remove/freeze the stock camera and try to launch camera from lockscreen, it starts any alternative camera I have installed (doesnt ask me which to start) but it cannot unlock the phone. It asks for the pattern to be entered, only if I just leave the "swipe" lock enabled, it can skip the lockscreen.
Is there a way to replace this default camera app on the lockscreen to work fully, i.e. automatically unlock the phone, but with limited features enabled (no gallery etc).
