I installed a font a few months ago & before I upgrade my ROM I know that I want this font lol. I don't remember what file I put it in or what the name of this font is. I just know it came from the 4G section.
here is a screenshot
Did you make a backup before you upgraded your rom?
a back up of what? i have my nand backup, but I'm pretty sure I made it before I put this font on here.
I just found out I could look and see what fonts are on my phone.
I'm pretty sure its the ARDJ-KK.ttf, Clockopia.ttf, gsch00d-hkscs.tff, or usch00d_c.tff.
I'll just back them all up lol, I figure I can't go wrong with that.

Hi all, have a question for ya.
I'd like to know how I go about returning the system font back to stock. I installed a theme over KaosFroyo that I really like (BlackMod from the Heroc forum, it's friggen sweet) but the theme changes the font to something taller and thinner, which is a little more difficult to read on our tiny screens.
So, can anyone throw me a bone here?
Thanks,
SSJ

Type Fresh is what you need sir. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6103587
I'm using it to run a cool looking font called SF Gothican on my Droid, but have previously used this app on the Eris as well. Really easy to use. Just download it from the Market (it's free - and you will also need AndExplorer, free as well), open, give Root access, back up fonts, put a ".ttf" file of your choice on your SD card in the folder named Fonts and then tap on the DroidSans and DroidSans-Bold fonts in the app, it will allow AndExplorer to browse your Font folder, and just pick the one you want. Hit your soft Menu key and choose apply fonts, reboot, and enjoy. Hope this helps...
This didn't work YET, however I don't think I can get the fonts back to stock until I wipe and ROM again, backup the stock fonts, then flash the theme and replace the fonts with stock. I'll update you and let you know if that works.
Thanks!
UPDATE: Got it. Wiped and reflashed, backed up the stock fonts, flashed the theme, restored the stock fonts from backup. Thanks a lot, dude!
I currently have Axura 2.2.5.7. I want to update to 2.2.5.9. I would like to know if I update the ROM, could I lose my apps and unlock?
Thanks
If you update most likely unless it states the update is a no-wipe, that's why it is nice to have Titanium Backup trust me it comes super handy.
And if you didn't lose unlock going from stock to Axura then most likely you won't lose unlock.
Thanks for helping me so quickly.
I would like to change font style in axura. But axura only have few choice for font style. So I see the font thread inside the Axura post. But their installation instruction is not so clear on how to apply new font style to axura. According to the font thread, they said "Just copy to sdcard and flash".
So could you tell me what is "flash" mean. How can I flash the new font into axura?
Thanks
Hi guys. I was wondering a few things. When you theme your phone successfuly, Im under the asumption that if you re-theme it with another them it goes right on top of it correct? How do you remove a theme and is it possible to do that? Or if there are different thems out there you like, how do you go about switching them out? Just keep putting them on top of eachother? Any advice would be great. Thanks guys.

I appreciate the link. But all its showing me is how to actually create a theme. I cant find where the answers to my questions are for the person that just installs the themes but doesnt make them?
Depending on what version of software you are running (1.26, 1.57, 1.83 ATT) I think the best method to completely re-theme is to use a program like Titanium Backup * Root, free version from the market, to back up your apps and data. SBF flash the proper version of deodexed files for your current software version to completely eradicate the current theme. After that apply your new theme and then re-install Titanium Backup to restore your apps and data.
You will most likely need to use gingerbreak to regain root after flashing the SBF. Since this will, most often, result in a clean wipe of your internal and external SD card, make sure to back them both up to your computer before flashing the SBF and proceeding. That way you can just put anything back onto the internal or external memory that isn't put back by titanium.
Putting one theme on top of another really won't hurt anything most of the time, but if the new theme doesn't use all of the same files as the previous theme did then you will end up with items from the old version that weren't replaced.

You can pull fresh copies of everything that the themes change (framework-res.apk, services.jar, blur-res.apk, are the main ones) and make a CWM update with those in it. Then you can install a theme, and in order to uninstall it all you need to do is go into CWM and use the backup update.zip.
To switch themes, I just keep all themes I have downloaded in a folder called THEMES on my phone. I just boot into CWM and use the backup .zip I made, then I install the new theme .zip and reboot.
If your talking about Gingerblur/Grey blur I think a SBF flash would be your best way to uninstall.
Thanks for the tip guys. I actually had GingerBlur installed before but wasnt all that fond of it. I went ahead and flashed the sbf of 1.8.3 back. Now I have the HoneyGlow theme installed and actually I like it a lot. I was just wondering what its like re-flashing themes over top of themes. I have Tansfers (I think thats the name) Recovery already installed with root access. I got the files already saved on the computer, but thats good advice to put the updates in folders on the phone and do it that way.
Yes, now On im gonna take that external SD card out when I flash. I also tried using Titanium and having a hard time with understanding how it works fully lol.

yes you can flash new themes on top of old ones. They just replace various framework files. all themes modifies the same set of framework files pretty much. so when you flash on top, it overwrites the current one with the new one, that's it. the important thing to remember is to flash a theme meant for your rom because framework files can change from rom to rom, so you may get bootloops (soft bricks) if you flash incompatible frameworks.
I downloaded matted blue theme earlier today and installed. I didn't like it. So after that I downloaded and installed the steel blue theme which I don't even know if that one is working right because the icons aren't different. Anyways I downloaded and installed the theme and didn't uninstall the matted blue theme because I wasn't sure how to.....now my Gmail wont load it keeps force closing and for some reason there is 2 text message apps that neither can't be uninstalled and I am getting double the texts at once....does anyone have any ideas to help please. I tried going into the removable drive via USB to computer and just deleting the folder that in boot menu I tried to update.zip and it said it was looking for drive e: and couldn't find anything....I am lost and fairly annoyed please help.
Deders *****es!!!!!!!
Why dont you reflash a SBF?
Use the un-theme CWM (found in the apps theme forum) zip. Or the deodexed CWM zip (found in the Dev forum). Some themes, such as MattedBlues, include themed apps, which won't be overwritten if the new theme doesn't include them. A tip to theme users: always check whats included inside the zip and backup your files. I personally did a complete backup after deodexing and before installing any themes so I'll never have to reflash an sbf.
I hate to say this but I don't know how to do that
Did a back up earlier today and am running it now well see what happens
im running back up now, can I ask you how to do that?
I hate to say this but even if you can swim you should first test the water.
I assume you know how to use the CWM zips since you've already flashed themes. I also assume you are deodexed since those themes applied correctly.
The deodex zip is the same as GladiAtrix or GingerBlur only minus the themes, they both convert an odex system to a deodex system.
Flashing the deodexed CWM will return you to a "fresh" system. The un-theme CWM is the same thing but it only resores the files themers go after. I would first try the un-theme CWM as the full deodex CWM may cause a few easily recoverable issues, such as unroot.
So my suggestion is flash this CWM first to return you to "stock". Then flash the theme of your choosing.
Good luck.
Hey thank you so much I did a restore, for a lil bit there I wasn't able to get into the boot loader. I appreciate it alot though I prolly will use that theme unloader quite a bit
ouch dude this was A VERY EASY FIX... all you had to do was go to manage apps click on gmail and clear data that fixes gmail. then just use titanium backup and uninstall one of the messaging apps(i specifically uninstalled "messaging 2.2.1")...
P.S. Nottach maybe you can add this bit of info in your post for the theme
Thnx a lot that was a huge help. I just got done backing everything up with TB....that really is a awesome app. And for the thread post idea thank you twice sir. May I ask what u replaced your messaging app. With ? And you didn't cause any instability in ur system hy deleting that message 2.2.1.? Since I'm guessing you removed the one that came with the rom. Thnx again.
Deders *****es!!!!!!!
I've had no preblems or instability issues since you're still left with a messaging app
Oh, well since I did a restore on my phone I have only the one message app. 2.2.1. Crazy stuff for real
Deders *****es!!!!!!!
So to clarify, the un theme cwm will work with the 2.1.1 ?

Hi,
simply reflash the ROM.
If it is a wype Rom, you will loose everything so make a backup with backup titanium.

I was tinking as you said but as it's a wype ROM, it's a bit anoying to re-do a backup, etc.
I'm going to tell to my friend that he must keep this theme or change to another one.
Maybe the developper of the Cognition ROM will post theme only? Cross my fingers

If your theme is a CWM update.zip.
In your theme, look (using 7 zip) witch files been modified :
systenUI.apk, framework-res.apk ... (in system/app and system/framework)
open with 7-zip your origial cognition ROM and find the corresponding files.
In your theme : delete this files and replace them with originals (drag and drop)
Then reflash your new CWM theme
Good idea, but I just tried that and it didn't work. I didn't have any error when restoring the original theme but no file habe been replaced.
In the zip file of the theme I previously installed, there is a folder "META-INF" with 3 files: CERT.RSA, CERT.SF, MANIFEST.MF.
I opened them and saw some lines looking like a checksum (called "SHA1-Digest").
Do you know what it is? I'm going to investigate further.
After some tries, I successfully restore the original theme!
I needed to sign my .zip.
