Hey guys,
I have a 8GB Class-4 MicroSD and when my phone is connected via USB, the transfer rate almost never reaches 1MB, which sucks. But if I for examples use an USB card reader I have at home, it'll hit 5MB easily... What's wrong with USB transfers on my phone? Has anyone else had this issue? =\
Thanks in advance,
K.

No, why sd boost app? The SD card cache tweak is intergrated in Franco's kernel.
Are you drunk again? Its a known issue on Franco's v19.4 but I nvr experienced that actually.

i think not ur sdcard problem
is computer
because this things happen to me also, so i use microsd card reader
I had this problem, when I had flashed gigerbread rom from LG, and formating my card as FAT (Yours is now probably FAT32) was very helpful - big files are written now with about 6-7 MB/s and 3-4MB-size files are written with 4-5 MB/s. It's only workaround, but maybe it will help You.

i guess it's because some app cannot be moved to sd.
anyway, /system has tons of free space left. why not moving apps to /system/app?? i still have free space more than 100mb in /system even after moving all of my installed apps to /system/app...

I was curious if it is possible to extend RAM memory by cutting a partition from the SD card and using it... Is it possible? From my little knowledge about Unix systems, this memory is called SWAP. If we made this possible, e.x. Reach 512 MB RAM memory, then GingerBread would run very smoothly on our MINIs (and PROs)
I know, that in Windows (Vista and above) is possible to optimize RAM by extenting cache into a USB or SD. I am not sure if this is possible on Linux/Unix systems...
I have no actual idea, but just the idea! Please help me know if it is possible... :-D

Nope it's possible.
But it did not preform well even with my big over clocked x10 the class 8 SD just could not keep up the pace with all the traffic on the SD card.
Even with a massive 8mb read & write ram cache for the SD it just could not deal with it.
Our bootloader is now unlocked and most custom kernels out there now have swap.(i.e. the SD RAM)
Hi all
This apps is used our sd card to create swap memory
i've been trying and i think its work on my ray..
Just look at the screenshot..
the first line used by the phone memory = 400 mb
the second line i swap it with memory from sd card : 1480 mb
Just try it
Install as normal apk... place it on phone memory
open the app and click optimal value
Just wait till finish and reboot ur phone
Use ur widget to swap between memory internal and memory from sd card
I try it on my ray
stock rom
ics .587
supercharger v6
Aeon smallapps
16 gb class 10
Here is the link

Yes it does but IMO, swapping to sdcard is not very useful because it is the slowest memory in our device and swappin to it is not very efficient and I forgot to mention that sdcards normally have a high rate of data corruption and failures and swapping to it will only increase the risk of corrupting the card. Instead you can use swap to cache or zram, it would be more efficient and useful. Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not trying to spoil this thread or something (I hope I'm not spoiling it) just wanted to explain something useful :beer:

I seem to have an issue with playing music after flashing the MindCr Rom v2.7.BGLH4
I tried playing music using the default player and also PlayerPro and both play the music but skipping every 2-3 secs and eventually skipping to the next track..
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I was thinking maybe it's something to do with the Beats audio that is implemented in the rom (correct me if i'm wrong) that might be causing this?

it is not the problem of beats audio.
First check that those files are not corrupt and if problem persist backup your files, format sd card and restore the files again to sdcard.

Thanks for the suggestions guys but i tried every available option and it's still giving me the same problem so i guess it's not a kernel related issue? Hi all
I own an SGS 1 so I'm on CM10.1 with Semaphore kernel which is supporting live oc (and I've managed to live oc it up to 128% working stable), so it's a month now I've purchased a used sgs2 and wanted to get it higher as my older sgs1, having in mind it's dual core and using 1gb ram I think it's going to be lot faster than my sgs1
So I saw there are plenty of options for roms based on cm10.1 and even cm10.1 itself as on sgs1!
But although I've searched quite a lot, haven't found easily a kernel supporting live oc!! Isn't there such an option for sgs2?
Also whats' the limit of OC/LIVE OC in rough words of course (I know that it depends on each certain device) and what are your average scores in Antutu?? Are they really around 12000?
EDIT: Since I've been start searching for two days now on issues other people deal with I've found lot of threads and posts commenting about the internal storage that it's divided in 2 parts.....2gb for the whole rom-apps + almost 12 gb for the user!!
Now is this true?!?!
I'm using the sgs1 8gb internal card as a whole....isn't it the same here on SGS 2?
So if I install let's say Asphalt 7 which screams for almost 1.5gb, data goes straight to 2gb "system" partition?? Or maybe "data" folder is on the 12gb partition?
Can't this be used as a whole?
Thank you all
C'ya
I believe I ve placed my question in the right place...but no answer from anyone???!!!

Search in original Android Development section for kernels that supports oc.
And the maximum oc is 1.6 ghz but the stable is 1.4.ghz but the oc will drain the battery even faster.
And you don't need to oc this phone his 1 gb ram and 1.2 ghz will not give you any lag on any hd apps.
