Does anyone know of a list of what is working/broken for this ROM? I've been searching xda and google days and can't seem to find one. I just got my 3vo and would like to root as my last phone, hero, was rooted to cyanogen and I loved the control I had over what my phone could do.
I'm on it. Only thing I've seen is native screenshot is busted for now.

So the camera works as good (or better) then stock? and WiMax and 3G both work? GPS get accurate lock? 3D works both for display and recording?
All working. Camera has been upgraded with scenes, panorama, hdr, and 2mp front camera.

Camera is actually broken... As is all other cameras with the 8mp mod. It won't take pics of anything higher than 3mp.
Eternity 1.2.2 has that fixed (apparently). I have yet to download the newest version. Not sure the download link is up yet.

Ahh, was that issue introduced in 1.2.1? I never got that one. Went straight from 1.1 to 1.2.2

I just flashed 1.2.2 So far camera is fixed and my voicemail app came back but my superuser app fc automatically. Therefore I cant use any app that requires superuser permission. I might wipe and reflash or just wait for an update. Has anyone got the same problems?
I had that problem on XRON. Wiping the defaults and data for the app is what I think I did. I can't remember the exact process.

I have gotten s-off and flashed infected ROM. But every kernel I try does weird stuff to the phone. Usually gets stuck in boot loop. Took a good nand backup, so I've been able to keep trying. Why won't it take a kernel?

What kernal? I've been able to apply Tiamat 1.03 (sense) on 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2. Flashing 1.2.2 now, will see if it works there too.
I just tried tiimat and it works. OC to 1.8. Why does this one work but no others? I tried several. Saw someone else with this issue had success with tiimat, and presto.

Camera is a big thing for me since if I didn't want the 3D camera I would have got the Galaxy S II that just came out instead , but I could care less about the voicemail app since I just use Google Voice anyway
Yeah, your right. Had to wipe in app data clear cache. Then everything worked fine.
I flashed 1.3 today and now my WiFi isn't working after following all instructions to the t. I used Virus' Superwipe and the SU fix when I flashed. Still nothing... any advice? I will try again tomorrow from scratch with 1.3.1
IMO this is the fastest sense rom for the 3d. Everything works for me wifi, 3d cam, 1080p,4g etc. the only thing is the screenshot dont work but screenshot app from market is good enough for me. 3000+ easy in quadrant for those who like quadrant I dont really think they matter tho.
Agree. I'm digging this Rom. Everything seems to be working fine, had a SU Issue, but the SU Fix posted in his OP worked great.

I have HBoot 1.5 and flashed following the instructions Virus posted in Post #2 of the Eternity ROM post.
I have the InfectedROM RLS 1.3 but it does not seem to have Beats audio. also, I notice that more times than not when I receive a call the soft buttons flash on, then off, then my ringtone goes off but the screen stays black so I cannot answer my phone. I have to double tap the power button to Ignore the call and wake up the phone normally. Is this a ROM issue or something more?
beats only works when headphones are connected and the black screen issue is kernel related, he went back to stock on the latest release.

Hi guys I'm on bionix 3 with JACs OC kernel with the latest voodoo and color fix installed. Since I installed the newest kernel my rotation has stopped working in all my apps. I downloaded an app to test my orientation sensor, everything is set to 0. I also dropped my phone after I installed the kernel so maybe that could be the reason...any ideas? Is there a way to test if items software or hardware related? If it is damaged hardware, should I unhappy and go to t mobile? any advice is greatly appreciated thanks!
Revert your phone to complete stock and see if it begins to work again. If it doesn't, then your best bet is to bring it back to Tmo.

if i were to take it to Tmo and the stock rom didnt fix it, would they replace it under warranty, you think?

Happened to me, requested a new phone because it would not orient even after wiping.
So I get the new vibrant and go to town and wipe again, removing superuser su busybox, when in one app I realize it orients....
It had been on lagfix and orientation worked. I moved it to ext2 on sdcard, orientation worked.
So I blame an app or something else I have not redone on this replacement.
Btw check your compass, stuck at north too isn't it?
Edit: Wasn't me knocking it off the couch if a wipe fixes it.....

some apps automatically put the phone in landscape, like the youtube app once you watch a video, but if you press back and get to the main youtube app page it will stay in landscape but it wont rotate to portrait at all until you get to the home screen which i have locked onto portrait....ill wipe and odin to stock and see what happens, but what did you t-mobile when you gave it to them? and how do exchanges work exactly? ive never done one before with a phone, do they switch you out right then and there or do they mail you a replacement?
Thanks guys for your suggestions =]

If you turn off auto orientation and exit your media apps, phone is in portrait, makes it more usable until you wipe phone.
I am not sure the stores do it past the 2 weeks, you call tmo and they might ask you to try things until they send you a new phone via ups, you put old one in a box and put the return label on and drop it off at a ups store to send it back, if you take more than 7 days, you get to pay for the replacement
pretty painless process unless you are impatient and say sure, charge me $21 for express shipping.

Hmm that is strange, but there were a lot of weird things happening when I had the rom and kernel combo I had before. I had long wake up lag, intense battery drain, and no rotation, but I odin'd, rooted, flashed the same things again and everything works fine now, I even titanium restored some apps and settings ran fix permissions and nothing weird happening yet. Idk what could have caused it before...
My accelerometers are very flaky -- I have been assuming it's related to my nearly-useless compass and my completely non-functional GPS. I use "Digital Speed" whenever I drive my '55 (which has a broken speedo cable at the moment) and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Completely random, even after a fresh reboot.
Same problem here. Running Bionix 1.4. First noticed a problem when I installed a game that needed tilt to operate, it wouldn't work. Then I checked and the homescreen won't flip. Test apps show "no data" or "INIT" and no actual values for the sensors. I'm using the OC Voodoo version, is this a common thread with the problem?
Don't restore system setting from backup. It can kill the orientation. This is my experience.

Didn't.
I upgraded to Bionix 1.5 without Voodoo and the problem is gone. I thought maybe the 1.5 update fixed it, but another user is reporting the problem while on 1.5. I believe the Voodoo kernel is to blame at this point.

A full wipe worked for me, then again i never used anything too crazy. His experience suggests you should try it, oddly enough for me running the calibration tool, the error message talked about a stale nfs file
Reminds me of deleting battery statistics to reset the battery meter on other phones......and the full wiping/odin flashing nukes it.
Everything works fine on the replacement too with the same apps and fixes (minus lag fix) as before (orientation working wasn't found to be working before i already got a replacement on order :/ ), only thing i hate is gmaps 4.5.1 causing a load of 8.x+, enough to once get everything killed (uptime did not change although everything was reloaded, media was scanned as if it had rebooted) and a shut down the other time.
This fixed both my Camera and Google Talk that stopped working in Sense ROMS om 08-31-11.
FIX:
1. Go to Settings and select Date & Time.
2. Un check Automatic
3. Change the time to 08-01-11
4. Go and open your camera (it should work now)
5. Now you can go back and check Automatic in the Time & Date Setting

I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THIS. Thanks to the help of mpwt51 on the Android Central Forums and Snow02 on the BAMF Forums, this issues is now resolved.
Looks like Verizon put some sort of time bomb into these apps. Simply changing the date back wil resolve this issue. Of course that is no way to actually resolve it. Flash this http://db.tt/Bcltlcr instead and it should solve these two issues.

I'm not really sure why, but this only fixes my google talk, but not my camera. I've tried several of the camera fix .zip files and the most common result, across multiple ROMs is that google talk gets fixed, but the camera stays black, acting like it's working, but there are no buttons and the screen is black.
I first tried this on BAMF Forever 1.10 and acheived that result. Then, I tried it on Liquid Vigorsense v1.1 (can't find v1.2 on Rom Manager and the rootzWiki link doesn't work b/c it was on multiupload) and had the same problem. Eventually, I flashed each ROM again, wiping data, cache, dalvik and batter stats multiple times and when I wen't back in to BAMF Forever, it worked. B/C I liked sense 3.5, I wanted to go back to Liquid VS, so I tried flashing back to it and sure enough, both gtalk and the camera worked.
At that point, the only thing I wanted on a sense 3.5 ROM to make my life complete was the keyboard with arrows, so I tried a few keyboard w/arrows zips and none of them worked, so I tried flashing one of the Infected ROMS (Airborne). I found a keyboard w/arrows zip within their lists, so I flashed it and got the keyboard to work, but then the camera was gone. I found a camera fix that they had and it didn't work initially, but after a few re-flashes, everything worked.
Then I got greedy and wanted my sense world clock/widget, so before flashing back to one of my backups from liquid vs, I backed up the Infected ROM and when it booted back up, gtalk and camera were broken again. I tried flashing all of my backups from liquid and bamf forever that had a working camera and the camera/gtalk were broken on them as well.
So, I've flashed Bamf SOAB and I used the keyboard zip for bamf SOAB (worked!) and the camera fix mentioned in this thread and no dice. gtalk works, but still, just a black screen camera. I've wiped and flashed and wiped and flashed each, liquid and SOAB couple of times each (each time, wiping multiple times).
I've got a hilarious 1 year old girl and really want to get back to documenting her life in the candid fashion she so often provides, but I need my camera to be fixed.
I haven't seen many posts on this topic across most of the forums/sites after Septemer, 2011, so it makes me feel like everyone else got this to work. I didn't have the problem in September. It never hit me until I had to swap out my TBolt due to the right side of my screen crapping out. When the new one came from VZW, the camera/gtalk problem happened.
Any help or ideas? (sorry for writing a book)
Much thanks in advance.
Just flashed this and its super fast and buttery smooth. Three bugs so far for me calendar force closes. Disabling calendar sync got rid of that. The market wont download and install any apps already tried wiping data on that but no go. Also no gmail app still working on that. So I just sideloaded TB and installed my user apps and all else is well in my universe im sure a market fix will be out in a day or two.
If you have root explorer gmail is in /data folder I believe. Just move it to /system/app and you're good to go!
Thanks had a hard time finding in so i just sideloaded the gmail.apk and its all good. Any idea how to install the android email application its not in the app drawer anywhere?
I'm liking this ROM a lot, favorite so far. Seems mostly stable for me. I haven't experimented much with Market. Things I've noticed... Browser seems a little laggy, but not too bad. No blue flashing is nice. This seems have the least Sense integration! (Only thing is during phone calls still has the Sense call screen with green android guy). But the ICS dialer is very nice. Liking it so far, recommend it in fact!
Thank you very much Newtoroot
Hmm I assume you would just need to get the .apk and add it to the /system/app directory. As long as the permissions are set correctly you should be good to go.
same issues! getting FC on calendar and can't download from market..
but otherwise i love it!
I couldn't take the bugs so i flashed back to scroslers Cleanrom ics. I hope to reload when the next update comes out.
Newt said he'd be releasing one tomorrow (well later today now technically) with fixes. Looking forward to it for sure.
Bluetooth Music Streaming
I've been using Scott's Senseless ROM for about two weeks now, and I'm actually pretty happy with it. It has a few bugs here and there, but certainly usable as a daily driver. My biggest issue is that it has issues with streaming music over Bluetooth. It will eventually connect sometimes if I continuously turn the bluetooth music streaming off and on, but it's a real pain. This seems to be the same issue in Scott's CleanROM ICS, and in Newtoroot's Ineffabilis-Deus ROM, so I assume it's an issue with the drivers in the leak. Can anyone confirm or deny the Bluetooth music streaming capability of this ROM?

asked the same question in the rom thread... i'm gonna assume that this is still an issue as it has been on all ICS roms. That's the only reason I don't have a 4.0.whateva running on my phone right now... bt streaming is a must have for me, don't know what i'd do without it...

Yea, this is just one of those hoping against all odds things. I'm pretty sure we won't get ICS + streaming bt until there's an official HTC ICS ROM. I just hope that's soon, and I can't imagine it wouldn't be soon, given the quality of the leaked ROMs. I'm checking online daily like I'm waiting on a check in the mail! LOL

Can anyone shed light on this? I think me not understanding how this works is also causing me other problems. I tried to restore a nandroid backup from my original stock ROM, and it won't boot up. All of the ROMs I've flashed thus far have been from scrolser, which automatically reboot to fastboot (or is it HBoot?) and install the kernel. Does this same type of thing have to be done for nandroid restores? Do I need to perform the restore, then go back and flash the kernel separately?

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't really answer my question. If there's a boot.img in the ROM, why do I need to flash another boot.img separately? From some other reading I've done, it looks like the kernel is just part of the boot.img, is that right? I've searched for info on this, but I can't find anything that explains all of this clearly.

Wallpaper size
I am posting this here because I am not eligible to post on the development site.
I have noticed that all versions of the CM9 ROM have built-in wallpapers that are not properly sized for the Aria. The wallpaper that loads first time it the right size, but once another is loaded, they all appear too big, and you can't go back to the stock ICS wallpaper without reloading the ROM.
Am I missing something?
And please note: I am not complaining. The Aria/CM9 team -- notably WinSuk and Munjeni -- have done a fantastic job and great service for the Aria network.
I decided to give this ICS ROM a try for fun today...after someone mentioned to me that the Captivate and Aria (as old devices) both have ICS.
It seems like it should work fine...for the most part...as an everyday device. As long as you can deal with having no working camera or GPS.
I didn't actually slip my sim card in...since it's not currently my main phone.
Battery?
Hey guys,
Im on winsuks latest cm9. it works great for me except my batter lasts about half the time it lasted with cm7. Does anyone know if munjeni's cm9 is any easier on the battery?
I didn't try WinSuk's ROM yet, I'm running munjeni's ROM as a daily driver. In the build from 27.4., camera and GPS are working; I'm trying now the deodexed built munjeni posted today and see if it works better.

Yes i had the same issue, run "fix permissions" in rom manager, i tried that option in cwm and it did not work. I am back on cm7 because for some reason i wasnt able to receive calls, i was able to make calls, send and receive messages etc...
fix permissions did not help. however I was able to get s2e to work by using superSU from the play store.
Haven't tested out calling/messaging yet
call and messaging send/receiving also seems to work for me.

I got the problem, too. For me the solution was to reinstall the su binary using the update option in the settings menu of superuser.

MMS
is anyone else having problems recieving MMS messages. it shows up with a download button but it is unable to download. Works ok if I use go sms but I would prefer to just use stock
Hi,
I have been using Neutrino 3.02 with Faux Kernel for some time now. The problem I have been facing from the beginning is, often after the call ends, the phone goes into a freeze mode when no buttons work and the red led is lit. When this situation occurs, the system completely freezes and whether I press button, power or any combination - it simply refuses to to get back online from freeze mode.
I have to manually pull the battery to solve it. Anyone having the same problem? It doesn't happen all the time but happens often. I couldn't figure any probable reason for this issue.
Note: This does not happen on 3.xxx kernel on Epinters CM10.1. Neither it happened on stock blur ROM. happens with CM7 based roms.
Tried MROM's kernel but it happens there more often than faux's

REALLY strange. I used cm7 for nearly a year (pure cm7 downloaded straigt from cm's site, not the ones on this forums) and I hadn't faced a single issue, with nothing at all... Try to switch to a different kernel, either stock or mrom ones and see what happens.
You could also capture a logcat via adb while trying to reproduce the error and see what it logs
I am not using stock CM7. I'm using Neutrino.. Can that be a problem? Any one had this issue before?

That's what I've told you. did you try with a different kernel?

yes. Tried faux and mrom kernel. Both has this issue. Can this be Neutrino ROM specific issue?

I think so. How about that logcat? Were you able to get it? Does it says something relevant?

This information might be helpful. Sometimes it comes back from freeze mode if I keep pressing random keys. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't and stuck at black screen with red led. Can it be something like that when I end the call the phone is still thinking I'm talking and hangs.
I cannot read logs. Uploading to dropbox.. See if you can understand something

that was taken from the phone after a reboot? if so, it isn't much of a help, since it appears to clear log on each boot.
From what I can see, a theme is not properly created and fails to replace something. not a big deal.
Also, facebook app tries to get way too much permissions and gets denied. The one strange error is with lucky patcher. did you use it to patch android core? if so, there might be the problem

No.. I survived a freeze (random button pressing and then came back to life) and took the logcat.
#Reverted to stock CM7.2 (Stable - directly downloaded from download.cyanogenmod.org)
#Lucky Patcher can be the issue. But I think it's not. I used this to patch poweramp on CM10.1 too. There it didn't cause any problem. (I didn't do anything other than patching poweramp)
Reverted to stock CM7 with stock kernel. Let me see the bug repeats or not. BTW can you tell me which thin font was used in Neutrino 3.02? I kinda liked that font!

Very strange...
Also, I've seen lucky atcher do weird things, but none as weird as the one you are experincing...
Honestly, I haven't used neutrino for more than 5 minutes, didn't like the look and feel of it and went back to cm7
Neutrino is great because of its lightness. It just flies! And if you are a fan of minimalistic look, Neutrino will please you surely!
This is happening on CM7.2 stable (stock kernel) too. Without Lucky Patcher,

I knew this is an issue. I searched Google and several others have this problem too. I don't know how to fix this
