[Q] Mono bluetooth audio - Motorola Photon 4G

I am trying to stream audio from my Sirius app and I was wondering if there was a way to make the audio on the photon stream to a mono bt headset yet? So far none of the market apps are working.

How old is the bluetooth headset? I would google and make sure it's 2.0 or better so it supports EDR.

Hearing Music via Bluetooth and Car handsfree set

Hi all,
I have on question. My Car is a Audi A4 from 2004 and a used the in car hands free for telefon calls. My question now is, is it possible to hear music from the Touch HD musicplayer through BT of my car hands free set? Is there a software available that let the car hands free set think that the music is a phone call
I hope my question is clear to understand.
Thx
BT Audio should do the trick, i used it with my Kaiser and it worked great

Your Audi probably doesn't support A2DP (aka Stereo Bluetooth). You'll probably need to plug something in to make this work.

Thanks! This really works. I've just used it in combination with my parrot. The only problem is that the sound quality is really awful..
Hi Jammy. I'm really glad to hear it works. (I wrote BTAudio)
The reason the sound quality is awful is that it makes use of the "Audio Gateway" service, which is only intended for voice quality audio. Every mono bluetooth earpiece I've seen makes use of the Headset/Handsfree bluetooth profile, which only supports basic Audio Gateway sound.
It's just an essential limitation of the hardware.
To hear good quality, your car or car kit would have to support the A2DP profile, in which case you would not need any additional software, as long as your phone has that profile enabled, and you can successfully register your car to use that service on your phone.

[Q] how do you play music or video audio via bluetooth

Hi,
I have a UK T-Mobile HD2, is it possibe to play audio through my bluetooth headset. I have a Invisio G5 headset which works fine to make phone calls.
I just can't see which setting I have to change/select to play music via it.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
CJ
Your invisio G5 bluetooth headset does not support A2DP. You can't stream music into it other than making calls out of it!
If you absolutely must stream your music through to your mono bluetooth headset....

Don't expect anything quality-wise. it's going to be like listening a badly tape-recorded version of your music/movie
You're better off buying a pair of stereo bluetooth headphones that does support A2DP

Thanks Guys!
Thats what I'd feared. I may give the link a try, it's mainly so I can watch core player while at my desk at work without people seeing what i'm up to . stereo headphones would be nice but for to obvious.
thanks again!!!
CJ
Now to have another pop at t-mob UK about not releasing the latest rom!

[Q] Plantronics 240 (Audio?)

I have this Plantronics Explorer 240, that I have synced to Streak (2.2.2).
When I am playing games, I cannot hear the audio through the BT headset.
Even the notifications are not heard through the headset.
but, when I am on a call, and I play games, or get a sms>
I get to hear all the audio through the headset!
Is this a bug or what?
Or, is there a way, that I can source all the sounds to my headset (all the time, not just during the call)?
Explorer 240 is not A2DP, right?
thanks,
Sony.
Navigation or music?
Navigation (voice) or music:
can I get any of this on my Plantronics 240?
Please help - I have a trip planned next weekend! and I need either OR (both )
Thanks,
Sony.
All:
Help please!
Kind people of Streakville
You won't get media audio from a BT headset without the A2DP profile. You need a headset that supports this. When you get game audio while in a call it isn't working properly, the audio from your music player or game app should mute when you get a call.

Yes, agree about the A2DP part,
but, I am taking a different clue from this-
The game media if it is playing over my BT Headset - we can do something to get it doing that other times too!
can you (others) confirm what happens in similar case on your non-A2DP BT headsets?
Thanks,
Sony.
There's an app that will do it... called Super BT Mono Froyo I think iswhat its called that will solve your problems.... I didn't use it for long because I soon bought an A2DP headset

Hi,
the car bluetooth must support the protocol A2DP (bluetooth stereo) otherwise no music over bluetooth. My adapter also only supports handsfree and I think headset so I also have no music in my car stereo from my X10.

Thanks, let's say the car does not support A2DP protocol, can u upgrade it through firmware?! Or does A2DP has Hardware component to it?!

Hi,
I think it depends. It might also be hardware related. You only have to consider that you normally do not need stereo for your calls so they can use cheap mono chips for their bluetooth receiver.
Ralf
I remember i could connect it to answer calls but could not make music play :/

So i tried playing music over the bluetooth. It didn't work.

[Q] Note 2 Bluetooth profile question

Are there any Bluetooth profile mods that allow all audio to be played through a car Bluetooth setup?
My Nissan armada syncs the in call talking just fine with my n2, but I would like to play my videos and music thru the Bluetooth connection as well.
Tia!
Please post questions in Q&A

I'm not sure what mod would be needed. My audio plays fine through the bluetooth in my car. You might just have a compatibility issue with your car and phone. I'm not sure about video as I've never tried.

Your car stereo or adapter needs to support A2DP. I've had no problems with any sounds or calls via Bluetooth making it to my car stereo. I'm using an after market adapter (Motorola t605). Do you hear anything besides phone calls that indicates it's an app problem?
Hit the settings on the connection on your phone, make sure it shows both calls and audio under the connection.
