Hello!
I'm a new user and i can't write posts in "development" thread so i think it;s a good location 4 that topic. I've installed CyanogenMod 7.1-cooper-KANG-RC1 Android 2.3.7 (upd: 12.10.2011) and everything seems to work fine but i've got a few problems which should be fixed.. :
1st. Sound player widget on the main screen doesn't scan all music files
2nd. i can not delete applications from my device without using other program ( for example Titanium Backup).
3rd. Vibrations should have more options to set. (ex. i want my phone only to vibrate while i receive texts and while unlocking the screen)
4th. I can't synchronize my fb contacts to my phone cause even when i set it up correctly, phone change it back automatically and i don't know why.
5th. Autosynchronisation unmark automatically as well in every turning off the phone.
That's what i remember 4 now.
I please for information if any update is possible for Galaxy Ace, specially that this is unofficial ROM. Thank You.
And i've got one question cause i can't find soultion. When i had an original soft, while holding home button i could close applications and clean the RAM. How can i do this now ?
also, suddenly sometimes the POWER button doesn't lock the screen i tried rebooting but no use. so i re-flashed the ROM ! its frustrating
ahh i'm also in need of a little help... is there any fixes for facebook login issues for some of the apps? like friendcaster pro, words with friends etc.... the facebook login doesn't work there...

i am faced with more problems...though sounds foolish but still usb tether is missing in my phone...in dialer it does not show up suggestions however the stock rom does...
Hope to get a solution for that...

For the dialer , if you want that flash back to stock because it's a Samsung addition and will never be included

The 4th one is a major pain in the a** for me too
Since most of my friends have their contact number saved on fb.. i dont really re-save them to my phone.. but with this problem im gona have to re-type and re-save the numbers
I hope its going to be fixed.. soon.. with maybe the official release.. but hey.. no pressure.. we arent paying for this are we?

For the Facebook login problem,flash some other rom and backup your contacts with the Facebook contacts.Now reflash cyanogenmod and restore contacts now,might fix the problem as I haven't tried it and I saw this solution somewhere else,I don't remember where

He is running Grif's cyanogenmod which is in RC1,not Behrad's cyanogenmod which is in RC2.

Try a reflash,it might work as I have this rom too and I don't experience any problem like this.

nahhhh..........my phone works perfectly with it..........it jst lags a bit when battery runs low........i dun even have to charge often since it does nt eats up my battery much........i think its awesome.....make sure u guys install the fix file......it will help most of the problem......=D
The only problem I've found is that you can't use your phone as a hotspot or USB modem. Other than that, everything runs pretty smoothly. I've found some problems that I've forgotten about but I'll be sure to post it here next time.

Facebook bug? I haven't found any...
EDIT: OH WAIT! Found a new bug! Every time I switch the ADW theme (not the CM7 one) it freezes.
EDIT2: sorry about my previous edit. It just switched my live wallpaper to a static one. Lol whoops
As long as i understand, you are facing facebook synk problems? The sync all mark disapears after reboot, and your contacts stays unsyncronized with FB, am i correct?
if i'm correct, check the install location of fb app. if it is installed on sd card, this is the problem. otherwise, i dont know, i have no such problem with facebook either with hotspot tethering - i'm using my 3g on my laptop via hotspot every day...

Is there any chance to modify stock dialer to work with cm7? I tried to copy that to /system/app but it`s not working.

It's too complicated to port stock dailer over to CM7 .

I went from stock S2 rom to MIUI and so far loving it. However, and this is just a query really, the other night I downloaded GTA 3 from the market.
Now, on MIUI when I browse the market, its not there. Going on the website, it states "This app is incompatible with all of your devices." Well, yes it is.
I know I can prob download it elsewhere, but I paid for this.
Is this cos of the MIUI rom confusing google?
Also, as a bonus question, how can I get a list of all the apps I installed recently.
When I check googles market website, it lists only 3, and I've downloaded like 30.
GTA III will show not compatible with Galaxy S2, no matter what rom you used.
You can download the apk from others. I downloaded it and haven't got any problem so far (Just sometimes the game is force closed.)
For the installed app, I think it will show only the paid one. Mine doesn't show the free app in the previous installed. (Not Sure bout this)

The thing was I downloaded this from the market in the first place. It must of been compatible to let me download it? Because on this market its gone. It like they pulled it.

I think something is wrong, tried to download the natwest app and that's also missing from the market. This MUIU seems to be causing issues which is annoying because I love using it. Any ideas?

I don't think problem is with your Rom. I am using lightening Rom and I have the same problem with some apps I downloaded from market. Maybe its because the newer versions of those apps miss something to be compatible with galaxy S2 or maybe its a market glitch.

Its odd. They dont show up on my phone by going to the market on my pc just says it's not compatible. I guess the only way ill know is going back to my rom backup and see if it works.

Some apps are just not compatible with your phone ( GTAIII is an example, the developers haven't optimized it for SGSII ). You can still download any of those .apks elsewhere, and install them , chances are they won't work ( GTAIII does in fact work , if not by default , then by using chainfire3D). It's not, i repeat, it's NOT a bug in the market , or a bug in the ROM.

And suddenly I can't update Go SMS Pro (v4.33) in my Black i9100 (suddenly says incompatible) while it's normal on my fiance's White i9100.
Both international version, same ROM same installed programs inside, configuration, and version.
This once happeneded to me, maybe your DPI is not compatible with market giving you the error. If its changed return it to the value of 240
Nah, I never mess with DPI settings. Its suddenly like that.
Yesterday I can see it in the market and when it requested to update I just decline it because I wasn't in wifi area and decided to update it today but it now says incompatible. Weird...
While in my fiance's i9100 it downloaded perfectly.
And the build prop is stock. Also here's my config:

I have a couple of apps already installed like instagram on my phone right now.
I can't update it since the market is telling me that its not compatible for my device.

Not sure, but i would try standard methods like deleting cache of market and reboot. I once had the problem, that the market didnt recognise apps that have been pushed around by app2sd or L2SD (you use some of them?)

I downloaded Instagram from the market and updated without a problem
It does support Armv6 without a doubt

Hey guys just new to the forum. Bought Galaxy S2,was trying to install few apps (the regular ones) but they are not downloading ,even the updates are not downloading.I checked with sevice provider but they everything is fine from their side.
Have you tried clearing the play store cache and restarting the device?

Don't know if there's a problem with my phone or not but I just tried adding a Samsung account and my phone became virtually unusable. Lagging like crazy.
I'm on the latest BLG8 base with the latest OTA DLI7 BTU Rom from Samsung.
After I deleted the account and rebooted all is good again. Just wondering if it's a general problem with the Samsung account website or just my setup.
Anyway, if you're having bad lagging problems you may want to consider that as a possible solution

I think if you create a Samsung account it by default starts backing stuff up etc, I freeze everything Samsung related with titanium, it's all drivel!
